This iPhone 11 Pro Won't Turn On. How To Find a Short. Logic Board Repair

In this video, we’ll show you how to:
✅How to diagnose using a DC Power Supply (DT880 to be exact)
✅Using a Thermal Camera to find a short
✅Recognizing current draw patterns after prompt to boot
✅Clearing a shorted capacitor

This phone had a shorted capacitor next to NAND. Since it's just a cap, with a leg on on ground, we can remove it & not replace it.
The cap was C2630 on PP1V8_IO next to NAND.
The whole process only takes a few minutes, but I walk you through it & explain each step, so you can learn how to diagnose these yourself as well.

Hey Jesse, I got also the bootcable (other like X and stuff you have also the dock connector) but I have it with the mechanic boot box with a power button on the machine. Does that work or you always will need a power cable connected from iPhone 11 and higher?

If you're using the same thing I am, then you'll need to do it the same way i am doing it. If yours has a plug for the charging port, then it should allow you to prompt to boot with the iBoot box. just grab a board & test it

You can check out the links in the description We don't cover schematics per se, as it's hardly necessary for +90% of the repairs you see day to day Our course is more about teaching you how to be profitable with microsoldering and workflow practices

Hey Buddy, My iPhone XR wont turn on, I sent to a refurbisher, they turned it on some how. I had taken this to AppleStore and also a repair shop, they couldn't fix it.
I have an 11pro and when I plug into pwr supply it immediatly draws 40-50ma before hitting power, when i prompt to boot it goes up to 150ish milliamps and then drops to 0. after repeating a few times it will draw 90-100ma and just say in that range going up and down.. anything come to mind? sorry for even asking I don't want to waste your time:) But any advice would be appreciated.

How could you tell precisely that the short was gonna be from the nand. Like it could be anywhere else. How could you figure it out
