This Insanely Fast Swimmer Has No Arms! Meet The Inspiring Abbas Karimi

Born with no arms, refugee swimmer Abbas Karimi is making a huge impact.
Abbas Karimi’s swimming journey looks very different from that of a typical elite athlete. Born without arms, Abbas fled his home country of Afghanistan at 16 and found a new home in the United States that helped him become one of the world’s top Para swimmers
His story is about following your dreams, overcoming adversity and making an impact. I had the amazing opportunity to train with Abbas for a weekend. I sat down with him to learn more about his love for swimming and how he’s making his mark on the sport.

In my local city meet I've seen kids with no arms and some with no legs, all the combinations you can think off and they still swim like Champs. One girl in particular had to let someone tap her fingers during backstroke for the go signal cause she was deaf, or have people put a kick board on the finishing lane in a backstroke for a kid with no arms to protect his head from the finishing line

No techniques to offer but many good wishes for your achieving your goals and blessings on your good soul. PS are you keeping your head down in water and only turning it with chin tucked in, not raising head? Oh, well good luck.
