However- she has the angry women after her and going as far as trying to nail her for non-existent dress code violations at work. Not a week goes by that she comes home with a new story about some unattractive Karen giving her crap for looking classy and attractive. I think that the problem is that social media has magnified the female need for physical validation. It’s increased the perceived competition and has pushed women to be more extreme in their appearance and it’s not a good thing. I’m sick of seeing women with fake butts, boobs and inflated lips. It generally looks ugly. Men like natural, feminine women, with tasteful makeup, not these weird fake instagram monstrosities. Naturally this article over reacts by saying that women should actively make themselves ugly. I just think that the whole world has become a much worse place, since the arrival of social media. Social medias has done nothing to make female behavior worst. That is ALL their choice. Besides, feminism precedes social media by many years. What is happening nowadays is that their hypergamic tendencies are getting so amped up that a 1 can think and say they are a 10 but then act surprised that no one wants to tap it. And this is because women nowadays, by and large, are completely and utterly disinterested of men's opinions and at the same time want that 1% of successful men to fight for them. To make a long story short, it's the definition of stupidity to the fourth power.

Just another example of why asking a woman about what to do with "women's issues" (particularly with regards to relationships) is useless. Almost everything this Florence gal talks about is intended to sell books & eyeballs by validating the existing tropes of narcissism, self-absorption, self-delusion, and self-aggrandizement. Looking for beauty and femininity in a woman is not something superficial and it's also not about objectifying. It just happens to be that those traits are good indicators for physical and mental health and also fertility. Just like the things most women look for in men are indicators for male qualities. Of course everything can be perverted. Or this natural selection (which already includes conflict of goals) gets superimposed by cultural phenomena and individual preferences - mostly for the worse.

Doesn't it seem like a wonderful life being 60+ years old, and knowing that you're going to spend the next 20+ years of holidays by yourself? That when your final days are upon you, you'll be sitting around a room, surrounded by things, and not a loved one in sight? At least you didn't cater to the male gaze! I'm sure that misplaced masculine pride, all the feminists work so hard to cultivate in themselves, will warm the cockles of your heart.

(They care about success and stability, so if buffness gets you success and stability, then you win. Buffness itself does not factor in.) Similarly, the female gaze is mainy responsible for female anexoria, dysmorphia, fashion, etc. Blaming the opposite sex for this stuff is projection.

This is interesting. I have the book and haven’t really read it yet but you speaking on this, you brought up a point that made me think of something. First, I think the main point of the book is to give women a “break” from feeling as if they HAVE to do all this stuff. But, thinking back to a five year relationship I had (he was super abusive and I also had many toxic things), he told me all the time to stop taking care of myself (doing my hair, nails, heavier makeup I was wearing at the time) as he said they didn’t matter. I think he’d be jealous of the male attention I’d get for simply being attractive and put together. Relating the book with this realization, it really is to “destroy” my femininity. When I don’t do my hair, keep up with my light makeup I wear, or make myself look decent at least-I just inherently feel gross and more “masculine.” I do my hair and nails myself, and I don’t wear anything but mascara. I don’t consider myself a feminist (at least not by modern terms), I like to hear from all sides to get a wider analytical standpoint. I’m over dating bc it sucks for both sides. I get called a pick me when I speak on how women are (f a man, get his money, cheating bc they’re sure he’ll do so or attention and validation) and most people in general lack self awareness and the ability to take accountability or think from a different perspective. Society is pretty f’ed. I can’t even make female friends bc I find myself severely questioning the way they behave (which I also did before becoming self aware). I do love my cats, I’ll say lmao. I’m open to a man at some point but for now with how separated the sides are and people f’ing it up on both sides for the opposite, it’s just not worth the headache.

I'm actually on board with what she's preaching in regards to not wearing make-up ... I find natural beauty to be a priority, I would want to be with a woman who needs to put on her face every morning and remove it every night ... I don't want to be kissing chemicals. It's all expensive shit, which naturally pretty women don't need, and it's also better for their skin, so they can age better ... Sure, wear it on occasion. But a face full of make-up is not what I find attractive, I only see vanity and money leaving my wallet when I look at it.

Decentering men could also be classified as "queering" women or traditional beauty. The concept is that to "queer" something is to set up the opposite of something for consideration. So, if the concept of beauty is important in a culture, the queer version is to present the opposite of beauty.

I listen to these type of videos because I find them amusing. I'm in my 50s, unmarried, childless and HAPPY. Why are men so desperate for us to be unhappy? We don't care what you think. And who doesn't like cats or dogs? or wine for that matter. Certainly men aren't known for their scarcity of alcohol use.

Thank you being one of the only people in this thread who MAKE FUCKING SENSE! Jesus Christ with these people……..they’re desperate for us to be unhappy because, as the saying goes, misery loves company. Additionally, they’re finally figuring out how strong we really are and are fucking TERRIFIED- as they should be. Without us, humanity would literally cease to exist. While we do bring different values to the table, those values are equal and if not moreso. Let these insols throw their little tantrums- they’ll tire themselves out💁🏻‍♀️

Same! Late 40’s and having a content life. I get the “you will get old and alone.” So? I’ll be in the same nursing home your “family” threw you in eating the same mashed peas while other women are being paid to take care of you.

@@AmberMollenbeck they seem to think there's a formula for avoiding potential loneliness. We're human, everyone has to figure out how to deal with life. It just seems so shallow how they separate everything into boys against girls like the world is a big elementary school playground.
