I'm glad you like it. I bought one on kickstarter for the office. Pens, cables,fold flat plugs etc. Sadly not used it in the office but It does exactly what I wanted it to.

As a trucker sometimes its hard to sleep.... your video usually does the trick and I wake up wanting a new leatherman.

That's how I've always felt about it, I was so excited when I saw it teased and was willing to spend like 70 maybe 80 but 110 feels like too much

Yknow what I thought that I'd never use the wireless charging pad but it's my most used feature on the nest haha basically the only reason I have it on my desk at thia point

I keep looking for excuses to get one of these. I work from home, so I can’t decide how I could use it. By the way, just discovered your channel. Love what you’re doing, and I love this look at a techie device as part of an EDC.

Lol, I literally just saw Pete McKinnons video on this last night then you posted this... I'm gonna take it as a sign that I should buy one

After the pandemic (still a bit to go here in Germany), we'll move to a new office where we won't have dedicated desks anymore (since the home office was already quite high in the old office, even before COVID came around). Every desk is equipped with a USB-C hub (and displays, of course), to the Nest with my mouse and random office stuff in it + a full size keyboard sounds like an awesome thing to have in my locker to pull out when I'm at the office.

i needed something like this because i have two children under two years old now and the solution i came up with is i bought a cheap cash box and then modified the inside. when i was comparing it to safes and toolboxes and other locking boxes the cash box checked a lot of boxes for me. it was cheap. it fits the footprint i needed it to and opens from the top and had a bunch of color options and it has a little shelf that moves into position when you open the lid and a divider so after i modified it i am able to fit 40 knives and a pistol in a $25 box and lock it so my kids can’t get into it. i am probably going to buy another one of them and turn it into a charging station for my flashlights.

Wow this could be a game changer for how I carry my edc. I knew the price was gonna hurt though...

Ever tried a Flipside wallet? Also, TruSpec 24/7 Ascent shorts/pants are awesome for EDC, worth checking out.

I have the Heather gray version of this. Very functional for anyone.

$110 made me spit my juice out😭 However! For about $80 you could cobble together the same thing. Using one of them elementary school pencil keepers, a couple of them big ass camping rubber bands, a small tube of rtv gasket/caulk, a battery bank cuz wireless charging is a janky waste of energy, a sheet of foam core, and some passport holders. Put the bulk of the loot towards a decent battery bank. Boom 💥

All that needs is a little clasp and a handle and we're a the way to a handbag (or purse as they inexplicably call it in Murca)

@Grey oh OK. You don't simply change the word "paedophile" because an entire population can't spell. "Pants" are underwear. A pavement is NOT a road, that's called a road. The pavement is the paved bit on which we walk. See how obvious that is when you stop and think? The lack of a 'u' in "colour" makes the first 'o' hard so it doesn't sound right any more. We use inflections on differing syllables depending on whether something is a verb or a noun. We're not taught it, it comes naturally to a native Englishman. Yanks should listen out for that some time. There is no such thing as a British accent. Most Americans probably have no idea what Britain is anyway. Etc, etc, etc. Oh and that is NOT how the word "Parisian" is pronounced. Oh, yes, while we're on the French thing, it's EN route, not IN route and "route" is pronounced as 'root' because, you know, it's a word of French origin.

Can't really imagine this for edc. It's pretty box for putting away external hard disks and cables when you don't need them so you can keep your desk clean. For edc, there are probably much better solutions that actually keep your gear in place. If you don't fully fill this box up, won't things just fly around in there just as they would in any other ordinary box?

I'm always in debate about organizers they are neat but add weight and bulk.

Is there any alternative for this product? I’d like an EDC organiser that can be slick on the desk and also portable, but I don’t need the charging function and the price is a bit steep. Any alternatives?

I’ve done a few episodes of the EDC Weekly with only women featured. But the sad part is they are only about 5% of my community

Cool case but I can recreate this with a $12 waterproof case from Harbor Freight and some hook and loop.

I have a 26,800mah power bank, it costs around $70. They're putting the box part of the item at about $30 in price. If the powerbank aspect of this item is less than 26,800mah, then the box price increases. Either way, it seems overpriced.

I will say it is overpriced a bit imo, should be around $90 but I mean aesthetically and functionally there isn't very much competition. It's also a product that is designed more for office and computer use on the go within the niche market of upscale tech accessories (Grovemade comes to mind) so it's meant to be a desk accessory and mobile tech organizer. It doesn't exactly fit the theme of this channel, unless we all happen to be content creators...

Pencil cases are filled with pencils, sharpeners, and erasers. This wasn't. There, you're wrong. ;-)

Wallet, keys, knife, flashlight, USB flash drive and phone. What else do you need in that. Throw everything in at night and charge the phone and it's ready to go if you have to leave the house or hotel room in a hurry.

I like the concept but yeah, too pricey. And it's annoying that a common USB cable can't be used b/c the plug portion is too long, which basically means their cable becomes proprietary despite it being Type C.

I’d be down for about half the price... as is, ehh..

A decent price for this i believe should be around 65-70 dollars. To me the price just too high for something like this.

the wireless charger is so unnecessery cause if you have to plug a cable in you can also just take your phone charging cable with you.... a wireless powerbank would be something usefull

I'm not sure how to take the almost universal approval of the nest. It's a box costing in excess of £100, partly held together by an elastic band and the internal dividers look like they were taken from a board game! I've managed to see one close up (bought by a gullible fool) and am so far from impressed it's untrue. From the outside and on close inspection I think the 'leather' is suitable for Vegans, if you know what I mean. As for the idea that design parameters/features include the objects colour and so adjusting that makes it better or worse. Sorry I can't accept colour, even Brown, as a feature. There is a disconnect here I don't understand. I read the word 'review' but I only hear commentary, rather diluted at that. I'm not even convinced "any pen" will fit easily into the elastic at the back. I tried the band with my fountain pen which is a little over 1cm in diameter ant it was a struggle. I stopped for fear of causing damage [it's not my box to do with as I wish]. I know this is only KZread but come on.

EDC: Yeah, let's put on some cologne so the tango can smell you coming for half a mile away! Maybe take up smoking, too. That thing is way too expensive, is the wrong size for a pocket, and it would be forgotten on your desk or nightstand when the SHTF. What's the total investment there, $500+ ? I think we have two totally different ideas on what EDC means, Taylor. I have most of that in a 400 denier passport cover which fits into jeans, coats, or backpack pockets. 4-1/2 channel locks, 4" crescent (ground to handle 9/16 nuts), leatherman, Victorinox Classic mini (blade, nail file, screwdriver, tweezers, toothpick), some fire starters (jumbo straw, vaselined cotton ball), Bic lighter, mag rod/steel, fishing line/sinker/hooks, duct tape, etc. All cost less than $100, inclusive. I like your thought to include an SD card, and I'm going to add that and a thumb drive to my BOB.

I have this for a few months now and the charging doesn't work reliably or at all. Piece of expensive crap.

When you put cologne on your wrists don’t rub your wrists together; it destroys the scent.

Seems ridiculous....it’s a $110 box. Pelican may a bit bulkier but a third of the cost or less - this I really just silly! It makes no sense!
