The amount of QoL over the first game is bonkers. All the satisfaction of optimizing with none of the pains of building.

Nice to see that you don't have to unlock belt joiners and splitters this time

Shapez2 is finally here, for me it's even bigger than Palworld actually, from the first 10 minutes of your gameplay I can see it is more direct and friendly now, no splitter and mergers for routing, top down design of stackers and elevated pathways instead of tunnels are huge improvement from 1

This is really cool! So many little details and QoL things that make it really satisfying to watch and play!

My dad might like this game! If he ended up playing he could very well use Excel! He’s retired now. He used Excel every day in his job!

IM SO EXCITED. i LOVED the first game, and i’m so excited for this second one. i haven’t had time to properly play the demo, but i enjoyed the bit i’ve started, i can imagine some very cool and complex use of the layers and building things. i’m really excited to work on optimizing builds into platforms and such. my laptop definitely isn’t powerful enough to properly run it with great graphics, but it’ll be plenty good enough to play :))

I didn't grab a spreadsheet - I went for the pasta sauce for this tasty spaghetti

I hope this comes to switch or PS. I dont have a laptop or computer atm, but i loved watching people play with the first one. Seemed such an interesting puzzle like game. 💜

I really enjoyed playing the demo, i played it for about 3 hours or so, and did all the challenges, they are really fun to do :D

Thing to note is as long as it's not backing up your production having your final product line being sushi is fine. Usually you don't want to mix, but it's all going down the hole anyway.

I played the first one after watching you do it, and now i desperately want to play this one! I even had shapez on my phone for a while!

Well I'm totally stoked for this game, but they had me at "Shapez 2". One tip I learned from KoS: Launchers are faster than belts.

The first Shapez had the issue, to me, that it just kind of got very repetitive after a while, you were basically just building the same machines over and over and there wasn't much actual challenge, since there were very few limitations. Add to that the actual presentation was very Spartan, so it just wasn't very fun to look at your super-complex machines after a while. This new game seems to address a lot of those problems: adding multiple levels is a good way to increase complexity right away, but I actually think the whole space platforms thing is a bigger deal for me; it seems like the main idea now will be to have individual little factories in various areas, then connect them with lots of belts... and later on, even trains and stuff! Gives mid-game Factorio vibes in that sense, which is definitely a positive. And of course the new visuals are quite nice, watching all those machines cutting and moving and copying is going to be mesmerizing...

Shapez1 after unclocking blueprint is boring, once you can find all the corners of all shapes you can just build MEMs with no constraints

this reminds me of the old lucas g ame where you build the robots....it was made for kids, but it was fun.

I have seen multiple people playing this game today, and everyone over complicates the blueprint shape! Just cut the cutter shape in half and merge it with a half circle!

Something from the past levels can be used, just like OG Shapez, at least quarter circle and half square should be available before blueprint
