I was not expecting those YGO references on this channel. As a long time fan, I'm impressed.

The worst part is that it’s not even a common/popular hairstyle despite the popularity of Black Panther. I’ve seen maybe two people in my entire life with that hairstyle in real life lol. If they wanted to give Miles dreads so bad (they could’ve just left it the same or given him another short fro tbh) they could’ve just given him regular styled short dreads. Not the damn comb overs with the faded sides lol. These developers and creatives are showing just how racist they really are. If I see one more black fictional character with that hairstyle I’m burning my neighbor’s house down 😂

But you found so many that it is hard to deny they are overusing, what I would call, the Short Dread Colmbover. Imagine Miles Morales with a razor-sharp Flat Top, a fresh Fade or a sick Pom... That’s one of the things I hate about fiction and media today. When they do shit like this, and also race swapping. The ones doing this and that are in charge of it are social justice warriors/activists that think they’re doing right by minorities by doing stuff like this. Little do they know they’re just as racist as the people they’re supposedly fighting against or supposedly trying to piss off. They’re on the other side of the same coin.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to draw different BM hairstyles? Yes, personally I don’t understand why people want to cut the side of their braided hair. Getting braids is hard enough and they cut the sides of their head. That doesn’t make sense to me. We have to compete with white peoples hair and anime hair styles. Not many BP are getting these unique hair styles, most of us are sticking with the “low cut”, “bald”, braids”, “twist”.

They DON’T get it, if they did it wouldn’t STILL be happening after all these years. As for coming up with something “original”, I added my own spin on the topic at the end by talking about how it negatively affects the characters on an artistic level. I haven’t seen many people make that point (I’m not saying they haven’t but I’ve not seen it)

People enjoy watching rants so I exaggerated for comedic purposes. But I think it’s kind of lazy to use the same design for pretty much every character, especially when there’s plenty of options that look good

3:32 @imanikaiii202 Miles was actually given the Black Panther costume for a couple of reasons, in the comics there was a What If comic for him called “What If Miles Morales was Black Panther” he actually had a Black Panther suit in the comic, and they also put it in as a tribute to Chadwick, they even have him doing the wakanda forever salute if you stop at the wakandan embassy in the game, it didn’t have anything to do with his hair, I hope I don’t sound pompous for the correction, keep up the grind with the videos 👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

I’ve got no problem with the embassy salute I think it’s a nice touch. But the “what if Miles Morales” series was probably my least favourite Miles comic it was a bad idea to give him the suit then too. Just because something happened in the comics, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a good idea. But thanks for the comment and the kind words
