The fact that there's a decent chance that we could see rematches of Boston vs Toronto, the Battle of Florida, and the Battle of Hudson all in the same playoffs this year is insane. I really hope we can hit the jackpot, because this year's playoffs will be banger after banger must watch hockey if that happens.

From a Lightning fan I feel happy for them, I was rooting for them after we got out against Toronto last year, I’ll always love seeing the cup in the sunshine state

I went on an "X" (formerly Twitter) spaces discussion after his shutout last week vs Buffalo and said that the Panthers could turn to him if (God forbid) Bob falters in the playoffs, and the hosts said that was a hot take. Glad I'm not the only one who sees and recognizes what he brings to the table.

@@jerry9101 Nobody talks about Forsling. You would think someone would mention the leader of the league in this category. Nope. Nobody talks about him. I will say Mikkola will be really important against the big teams we will play. Specifically, if we match up with someone like Vegas again in the Finals.

I think a huge factor is Sam Reinhart having another career year. We loved him in Buffalo I'm pretty upset we lost him still, but happy for the guy. He was here at our worst and he still gave a great effort in Buffalo.

Sign me up. Love to see more about the Cats. Appreciate the way you’ve treated them and defo would be great to see something about how Chucky does what he does.

If we’re talking best backup goalies, Brossoit has been having a very quietly good season so far. With a .920 SV% and 2.28 GAA he would be right behind Hellebuyck for GAA and right behind Daccord for SV%. Being a jets fan I just want to hype up our backup 😂

The biggest thing rn beyond who’s the better team in Florida (bolts or cats) is that a state which was not known as a hockey state for a very long time has now arrived to the Stanley cup 4 times in a row with the real possibility of 5 times. A state getting to the cup for almost half a decade that isn’t known as a hockey state is pretty remarkable

I want the battle of Florida down here so bad, those two series were fun but the Cats were a softer more offensive minded team back then, if it happens this playoffs it could be an insane brutal series.

Tkachuk, ex-Flame, and Reinhart, son of ex-Flame. Plus Bennett & Lomberg. When Lomberg first came up with the Flames who'd'a thunk he'd still be in the league all these years later? He's made a real NHL career for himself out of nothing, which is something we can all admire. Also, I never think of 2-0 as a "blown lead", unless it's late in the game. It's just two goals. I think you need to be ahead by at least 3 to call it a "blown lead".

They relent need to get rid of Eckblad one way or another he’s a huge liability, when I watch he’s the reason half the time scores by fully missing a pass losing the puck. Being in the wrong spot letting the other team by and boom it’s break away.

I will agree but johnny was very clear on his wording for “backup” goalie. The bruins have 2 starters, a luxury not every team has - but even after the all star weekend it was very shaky from ully and sway.

They are a good team with questionable goaltending (that has gotten slightly better as the year has gone on). The issue is that they are not leading the division and the team that is has won 8 straight and also dispatched of the Canes 2 years ago in a head-to-head series. Carolina can make a statement by catching and passing the Rangers or by taking care of business in the playoffs.

Went from briefly out of a wildcard slot to close to taking their division. There are plenty of teams not nearly as good as the Hurricanes who get talked about much more

@@FalloutUrMum I live in Durham, so I’m very aware of the lack of attention Carolina gets. They just had a huge win over the Panthers last night and the goaltender is definitely heating up. Big goal for Aho too. That said, their problem for now if that the Rangers also dismantled their rivals in 2 of the last 3 games and have now won 9 in a row. Igor Shesterkin is also looking like his old self again giving up only 1 goal in the last two games. So I think Carolina will need to just keep up this pace and have another statement game against the Rangers to pull the attentions back. I also don’t think it is a bad thing if they fly somewhat under the radar heading into the playoffs.
