I had put that on my list to Santa, but didn't get one. Cool to hear a collector like yourself to give this device, what sounds like, a positive review. I like collecting but don't want complete collections, just stuff like trying to have my favorite series that kinda thing, I honestly think emulation is great, as long as the hardware can in fact handle the console
I've been looking for something like this. Thanks for doing such a good review
The funny thing is, it's perfectly legal for John to use this because he owns all the games that are on it :)

Even if you own a copy of every game on the console it's not legal. The only loophole for ROM ownership is the clause that allows the owner of a physical game to keep a ROM file of that game for 24 hours for backup purposes. Once you continue using the ROMs beyond 24 hours, you're breaching the terms.
Really enjoyed this video! I love seeing these pieces of hardware that do emulation in different ways - while it's not my preferred way to play, it's frequently the most cost effective way for people to play classic games. Great content - I think I'm gonna order one of these!

Good look for putting this video out. Just started my 50s, so all of these games are my favorites, especially that boat racing game.

Your collection is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad I kept all my consoles from nes, snes, sega genesis, dreamcast, ps, ps2, Xbox, gamecube, wii, Xbox 360, wii u and switch. Yea, today, retro collecting isn't about playing them, it's about just having the original product, which is actually kind of good. That said, if you are a serious retro collector, it is EXPENSIVE. The funniest part is the worst consoles/games often have the highest prices because of their rarity.

Thank you John. This is exactly what I have been looking for my collection. Iam a retro game Collector and space is very limited to me being that I live in New York City. So this is perfect. I was looking to buy something like this for a while and I just watched your video and jumped the gun.You are a legend 👏.
I'm a 80's baby so this brings back memories I would definitely play that
favorited, i'll definitely have to nab this in the future for console emulators that are a pain in the neck to setup as well as consoles that have way too many games for a conventional PC to store. Viva La Emulation!
Great info! Thanks for sharing John! 😄👍👍
Awesome video dude, really enjoyed it. What a cool wee console.
Thanks for posting. Very informative.
You’ve got me so hyped for playing this console!
This is probably the coolest retro emulator I've seen that has so many games on it, and from so many different systems.
Trying to find something like this can be a bit difficult because you don't want to get screwed. Appreciate these videos sir.
I normally have little interest in these sort of emu boxes, but at this price (£30) I'm having one. It's too bloody cheap to offer a simple HDMI solution for a load of consoles and have them so portable. Thank you John. I plan to keep all my original consoles upstairs for use while I'm in bed (as I'm disabled) and have this unit for sat downstairs. Seems bloody perfect for the job.
I just picked one up. It’s an endless library of games. Amazing.
Thank you for this video, John. Just received my Console after only waiting eight days (China to England), even with the Chinese New Year upcoming! Box damaged and rattling inside machine! Okay, just the LED casing loose, easy to clip back in. Very pleased with it, although some games don't work (Mame games say Emulator wrong?). For simple Plug in and Play, it's worth it. See you in about 30 years :)
This actually looks awesome, I think I might have to get one of these
Great review, order placed . Thanks !
I am the target demographic for this machine. I would love to play games from my childhood, plus others that I saw back then, but didn't get to play. Yet I do not have the time, to start collecting a ton of vintage consoles. I'm definitely interested.
Thanks for reviewing! Hope to see more content on these emulation consoles in future videos

I've got to Super Console X Pro, this is virtually exactly the same as this one, I only ever played the Mega Drive a little bit back in the day and got it now though 😊. Its so nice to just go onto a system and play some games straight out the box.
Love these little cheap Android boxes. I managed to pick up a cheap "Arcade Box" version of this with clone PS controllers for £40 delivered. It's completely loaded and surprisingly handles emulation quite well for what is basically a low spec Android box (some early version of the Amlogic S905 CPU with Mali 450 GPU... Nothing recent).
Good information, thanks.

This (and other Super Console X models) can also connect OTG with the Legends Arcade Ecosystem..hook up a usb keyboard and LOVE those old computers. The arcade stick works great with a lot of the games, Doesn't work with analog control games on the ALU, but SO many work great

I’m a collector but dont have some of the higher price games might have to check this out thank you for the review
Surprised it performs so well for that price. The major step in emulator console deals is finding something that can reliably do "all" PS2 games, normally you need a certain Nvidia Shield model for that horsepower while I just went for a modded PS3 (which is large and not silent, clunky and not using solid state storage). We'd all love to play original games on original hardware, "You want this Super Mario Bros 1 cart that barely survived a house-fire? That'll be $75. Should have picked it up in 2019 for $5 instead, deal with it".
@ultimateman55

Hey btw if you find SMB1 for only $75, let me know. Been looking for one at such a good price!
All the super console X boxes represent probably the best value retro games experience you can buy. Great to give to your kid so they can play the games mum and dad played as kids without spending a fortune on original hardware and carts! Or to stop the kids playing with your treasured collection! And for me just having almost instant access to almost every game you ever owned between 1975 and 2003. Which is very cool. I love my SCX PRO.
Considering what I paid for to build my 70,000 entry Raspberry Pi 3+ "NESPi", £61 for the max load is actually a pretty good deal. As not only did I have to buy the Pi but the NESPi case, the 32g card, a image file from ebay to fill that 32g but to be fair it was fully set up with Retroarch all configured, plus controllers, a little fan for the case and a power supply for the Pi and a decent HDMI cable for the Pi and that comes to a lot more than the £61 by my reckoning.

This has me wanting to hook up my retro pie to my pvm. I recently found a hdmi to composite adapter at goodwill.
This seems pretty cool, but what's the catch? Are there any cons? Thanks for the video, John.
Thank you so much for reviewing this console. I'm collecting video games, consoles and home computers for 40 years (1st one was a pong clone). This console is a wonderful thing to check out systems I don't own like the atari 5200 which was never available in Switzerland / Europe.
Definitely need one of these bad boys in my van.
I have one of these & it is a brilliant little piece of kit - as long as you limit your expectations. It runs everything up to 16 bit really well, even playstation emulation (at least with the installed games) is really good N64 is hit & miss however, remember this is just a repurposed android tv box in a (really cool) fancy case. That said, the 64gb version (33000 games) is more than enough for everyone, you don't just have to use the included controllers and you can copy everything off the card onto your pc to create your own emulation setup if you want. Great little system though!
My payment didn't go through twice. I think the universe is trying to tell me something. Thank for all the content Immortal J.

This looks like a good plug and play system. However, what (if any) settings did you have to adjust on any for any of the consoles? Also, curious as to why you didn't try and play the computer games. Personally I would like to see how viable these kind of systems are playing computer games for systems like the C64, ZX Spectrum, and Atari ST. I don't think enough people (i.e. KZreadrs) really cover that aspect of these kinds of products and would be nice to see IMO. Still, a nice review and appreciate your input.

This is an insane deal! I got bought a NES when I was 6 or 7 and my parents tried to get me to complete games before buying me a new one, single games also cost more than this whole package in the 80s! I can’t even imagine what I’d have thought about something like this back then. I have seen similar consoles before but expected the emulation to be poor, even as a learning tool to brush up on a lot of old games this has to be worth it. I’ve spent £70 on PS5 games I haven’t even bothered installing! Really impressed, like a lot of people I thought John was going to say something along the lines of “yeah it has all this stuff, but it all runs terribly and is a bad way to experience these games”, I’m going to get one. I do collect, but realistically, I’m not collecting 50,000 games unless Elon Musk works out a way we can live to be 1000 years old! Even then, boxed NES games are going to be expensive in 1000 years!
