That's why GameSir has the X2S. It's basically targeted at that audience cause the color way is inspired by the 2DS XL and the USB c connector is on the left so foldables unfold upward instead of downward.

@@NEOMERCER I just wish they did that for an ergonomic shaped controller like these Xbox style. There’s no ergonomic controller like this for foldable with the usb on the left

@@speedracer9132 Honestly, I prefer having the USB on the right cause I'm right handed and attaching it to my phone is easier, but other than that, I don't see why all their future controllers can't just have the plug on the left. I think most people would want the screen going up like a DS rather than hanging down. I don't really see any poor tradeoffs to doing that going forward.

Finally, a controller that can be held in the hand.

I like the hint of green behind you. That was a nice touch.

Perhaps a glimpse into switch 2 controllers.

I know its probably a weird setup but i can imagine having this in my travel bag for my rog ally. Setting up my ally connected to a hotel TV and having these paired to the ally but clamped onto my phone would be interesting

Any android that supports landscape across everything including lockscreen and home screen would make sense for that setup

I was just checking this thing out online the other day. I thought it looked really interesting. The flip storage design is cool.

I really wish it had vibration so I can Moonlight stream and have the full experience.

If this works with my iPhone with a case on it I’m sold but I see its target is Android and I don’t see dimensions for the “depth” of the devices it can take.

I just got one of these last month that turtle beach made called the atom! Same connection design though only difference is mine turns on via the Xbox button and a power button on the other one, and basic joysticks. Pretty great so far plus works without being mounted on the phone as well

The one thing I hate about the "Backbone" controllers is how they won't work if your phone has a case on it. It sounds like these get around that pitfall though.

This is a good controller.

I got one, it fits my S24U with case on, and has a xbox controller mode for cod mobile. Its much better than my X2 pro. Come with 1 month of gamepass. Only thing I don't like is the case, it's too big, they should sell it without the case and reduce the price.

I’m also curious about with a case. Kind of a deal breaker for me. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with iPhone it’s just Bluetooth.

Can this be used as a kvm? I've seen a controller 6 years ago from eta prime with 2 usb ports to bypass controller movements with mouse and keyboard.

Definitely like the design of the controllers going for a joycon type, it would be nice if they could clamp to each other to act as a full controller Also this is just my opinion but i would appreciate if they always made one without the Xbox logo, nothing against xbox tho

From what I've gathered, the Gamesir is just a clean upgrade. While the Gamesir is a lot cheaper, for the extra price of the x4, you get Hall effect sticks and triggers, better buttons, better software, swappable parts, the ability to customise the functionality of the buttons/sticks, as well as their sensitivity, RGB lighting, better ergonomics, better build quality, xbox app integration, mappable back-buttons with true button swap, as well as alleged longer battery life, but that last one I've not been able to confirm. In my opinion, the x4 is well worth the extra price! Edit: It's also got some clever software that masks/hides the fact that you are using a mobile controller, for those games that flag that as cheating, or places you in a controller-bracket/roster. Also the ability to map the controller to work with games that don't recognise controllers natively.

Might be worth it tbf, buy a cheap tablet with good battery life (and yes i know im asking something nearly impossible) and you have a mobile gaming setup. Just make sure to keep youre phone nearby if you need a hotspot ^^.

Yes, u need to press the xbox button and b, to put it in xbox mode, the led will turn blue and you need to re pair it with you phone. Press xbox button and a to switch back. I can't see this mentioned in the instructions I got with it though.

The opposite tbf! Asian markets are highly focused on mobile and handheld gaming. The reason why the 360 and one never came of the ground there was partly bc they never had a handheld. Ps vita and the (3)ds sold more the home consoles. If anything with xcloud ms is going for a huge new attempt with mobile gaming and streaming on the go ^^.

When xbox inevitably dies, their legacy would be the goddamn friggin clicky buttons that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY LIKES, but because of few vocal hardcore white knights, who managed to influenced a generation of gamers, and now accepted as the way to go. Fuck them clicky controllers. Seriously fuck them. Can't wait until Nintendo copy that as well and make every controllers fucking clicky.
