What 343i really needs to repeat from Halo 5 into Halo 7 is its massive sandbox! All the different weapons and vehicle variations. The lack of sandbox in Halo Infinite has made the game boring, in my opinion. They also need to bring back war zone as well. Halo Infinite would have strived longer with that game mode!

Heres my theory, ever since the rumors of infinites sunsetting started Halo, 5 fans have been coming out of the woodwork like roaches, declaring Halo 5 Superiors because of reasons. My lil head canon, is that OP ( leaker) posted it as a rallying cry for halo 5 fans to make enough noise in the vein attempt they could sway 343 into making the next project something along their expectations lol

If they were gonna return the H5 mechanics I wouldn’t mind it but make it a separate social playlist so it isn’t the main game. I personally loved the built in thrusters

I know FootedGhost knows better than to push a notice like this as hype but some other HaloTubers like a certain OTHER AUSSIE has a penchant for hyping nonsense up (like the supposed Robot Core). If you care at all for the Halo franchise, you will support your favourite Halo content creators but cease from discussing about these supposed leaks further.

As long as it's on PC I'm cool with that. I'd love to play Halo 5 on PC. The multi-player of both games were great. Edit: Halo 5 with equipment sounds cool.

the thing that bugged me about infinite is its gameplay in a lot of ways felt like a compromise. Sprint was borderline useless unless you were using it to slide, and at that point it just feels like an arbitrary inclusion to make the game feel modern without consideration for cohesion and flow. high level movement feels awkward and jerky it doesn't have the same flow that old halo used to have even if it is close. I think infinite is in the right direction but it is still a fence sitting answer to halos gameplay that appeases nobody fully.

Honestly as long as it has infinites aesthetic, I've got no issue with bringing back halo 5's mechanics. I think h5's bigget problem was just how ugly and annoying the visuals and audio design were. All the clickity clack ass sounds that stuff like the pistol and armor makes in H5 was specifically designed to be annoying I swear. But having more evasive options again sounds good because in infinite, unless you have thruster or grapple youre pretty much cooked

Ngl… halo 5 multiplayer was INCREDIBLE compared to infinite… why? MORE GUNS… A PVPVE MODE… and HUSKY RAID…. All they had to do was take only those aspects from H5 and bring them over to H7 … because even though I enjoyed the H5 movement… it feels sooo much more balanced having the abilities as pick up items like in infinite … and I can GUARANTEE that somehow they’ll forget to add REACH STYLE CUSTOMIZATION … AGAIN😂🤷‍♂️

Ngl though Wall Run would be sick, and there's already precedent for portal-like gameplay using the QT in Infinite. Combining the best parts of Titanfall 2, Halo 5, and Spllitgate would make for an incredibly fun game. But I agree - it wouldn't necessarily be a Halo game.

Halo 5s multiplayer was better for competition and is liked by more new people. But the old fans want another halo 3. Not saying infinites game play is bad I love it but it feels old and slow.

honestly infinite feels too much like a "typical" halo game, doesn't really offer a lot except for the classic halo feel. I felt that 5 was actually a new halo game, it kept alot from the old game, mainly weapons and vehicles and added new ones along with new enemies. 343 doesn't have to follow bungie to a "t", they actually should do their own thing because thats what bungie did.

Still would be best the just follow what they have done in infinite, but personally wouldn't think it would be that bad the halo 5 gameplay comes back. But either way, halo 7 is their "last shot", at least for me, hope they started to learned with past titles this time and got right the campaign for once

Honestly, knowing 343's track record, im GENUINELY concerned this actually might be real, and I think that's VERY sad tbh

i still say 5 is way better than infinite's gameplay but this leak is crazy. they cant be real about wall running and jet jumps, 5 got enough bs complaints about being too similar to cod and titanfall with the thruster pack alone. there is something from 5 that i think infinite sorely lacks and its the feeling of playing as an actual spartan, that was definitely something 5 got right. honestly infinite does feel more like classic halo but even back then halo didn't really feel like you're playing as this hyper lethal super soldier.

I actually have more insider knowledge to share as the game will see the return of armour lock, button combos and being able to hold four weapons at.once with two in your hands and another pair being held by your feet. Apparently as well they will return back the Halo 3 style forge due to fan out cry of the more since reach. Lastly the only thing known of the story is that chief finds hidden colony of ancient humans who confirm the truth of scientology which chief was a devout member all his life. There is also the return of Arbiter the the series where finally be admits his feelings for chief who declines as his ture love was and will always be the Liberian . At the end of the story chief dies but before that happens as see his face and see he was played by Jared Leto.

Nah Ghost, I'm not with you with not returning to 5 Multiplayer style. Infinite has been dog 💩 and I've never hated a game more and felt more rage and distrust for the gameplay working properly. I've been wanting All those abilities back, and I'm down for them, just look at how fun and packed halo 5 multiplayer was I understand not wanting portals, that's dumb, but the other stuff isn't

5 was definitely better as a game overall than infinite but i dont think halo should have wall running and jump jets, 5s thrusters were good as is. but something they should consider doing is zeroG combat. kinda find it odd halo being a sci-fi shooter hardly has anything going on in actual outer space, the most we probably got was back in reach and a little bit in halo 4, with saber jet missions.

I love Halo's original trilogy, they're my favorite games of all time. And Infinite is great too. But honestly I wouldn't mind if the next Halo had gameplay like Halo 5. What makes Halo special to me is the artstyle, story, setting/lore, and the soundtrack. If the next Halo needs crazy gameplay or advanced movement like 5 to be more popular, that is OK. Whatever it takes to make Halo more popular, as long as the soundtrack and story, characters, etc. stay like classic Halo then I am happy. Halo 5 has some good gameplay, but I didn't like the artstyle and story at all. Also the enemies should be fun to fight. I agree the Prometheans really weren't that fun.

I'll just say one thing. *MOVING AWAY FROM HALO INFINITE BECAUSE THE GAMEPLAY WASN'T "GOOD ENOUGH" IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE 343 WOULD NOT WANT TO MAKE.* We all know that if anything, HALO Infinite meant to serve as a foundation for future HALO games and while yes, 343 has a terrible track record of keeping their promises, I believe they'll stick to this one considering that for the long term, HALO Infinite has fared BETTER than 5, in terms of player count among other things. If any 343 employee or executive see this comment: *DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE TO LET THIS LEAK BE TRUE.*

Awe boys I know we hate it but I genuinely got a pang of nostalgia seeing that Halo 5 footage in this vid 😭 who remembers the dark years when the only Halo merch you could get was those godawful Mattel figures in the late 2010s

It’s not a bad idea but it’s not a good idea either. Halo 5’s campaign direction with infinites gameplay? Now you’re kinda starting to cook. Bring back blue team, bring back different locations, planets and biomes while keeping the halo infinite classic gameplay then we’ll be fine.

you mean like level design, not story wise, yeah 5 was definitely better in that regard. honestly i think 5 had better gameplay, it just felt like playing as an actual spartan. really they just need to throw in some equipment into 5 and it would be perfect for everyone.

Dude are serious? network issues and lack of content is not why infinite sucks ass im pretty sure as someone who still plays MCC till this day those are the least of our concerns. I still play halo 3 on MCC till this day because its the greatest game of all time. If it were not for the technology at the time in 2007 Halo 3 would have had massive big team battles and customizations just look at all the cut content. halo infinite sucks ass because: 1. Terrible physics, objects in the game just have no weight it feels like 2. Player outlines ruins immersion and makes it way to easy to spot players even across an entire BTB map 3. no player collision makes the game feel cheap 5. no playable elites they can even profit off elite armor but 343 is too stupid 6. annoying ass sounds during gameplay, cringe ass AI, and everything trying to be way too cinematic 7. the tying of "lore" in everything like fuck off we just want a simple point and shoot game with character customization and massive vehicle combat opportunities 8. lack of social aspects ie post game lobby, proximity chat, clans, the ability to look at other players Spartans/ Elite that are not in your friends list or lobby 9. underpowered vehicles 10. the art style is fine but something about the graphics makes it feel very cheap

Halo 5s multi-player is better than infinite and Halo 4. I hope everything you read was true.

I mean Halo 5 was decent multiplayer-wise. The ground pound and hover + thrusters was insufferable though.

Ngl tho infinite had some low skill ceiling. At least H5 allows skill expression, and Im huge H3 fan

Nonsense. Halo 5 thrusters allowed players to escape gunfights and the sniper had rediculous magnetism.

Ok hear me out Ghost, but imagine taking Infinites gameplay, add in hover, spartan charge, ground pound, double jump and wall running, but these are unlocked and upgraded like Infinites/DoomEternals campaign. How about a Halo/DoomEternal bastard child! Imagine a combat system kinda like Doom Eternal! Using different combos of weapons, abilities and equipment in a sense of doing the most damage, not neccessarily to earn health/shields back. Of course Halo shouldn't be exactly like DoomE, but I believe a healthy mixage of these games would be legendary😎🤙🏽
