The sing that they eere accused of misogyny was “War of Hormone”. The lyrics mentioned a couple if things that might be misconstrued in the current “MeToo” movement, but were innocent in their intention and a reflection of every teenage boy’s hormonal instincts. As a woman, I did not feel insulted at all myself because I took it the way it was meant. But RM was sensitive and incredible enough to take that criticism to learn something and become even more incredible. 😊 BTS are amazing and just keep proving to be amazinger!!!😂 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

In 2015/2016 I left all the other fandoms I belonged to. I still listen to the other groups, but Army is my only fandom now. It was bad during that time. It became a habit for Army to make lots of comments to hide the hate comments from BTS. We still do it now. 💜

As an ARMY since 2018, this video still makes me angry. Even though we continue to fight the hate to this day. The MSM still is against BTS. All music companies (bb, etc) are against BTS bc they cannot make money off of them. BTS refuses to pay to play.

The reason those labels complained about the new law allowing idols to postpone military service until age 30, but only if they were recipients of the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit award, was because BTS are the only ones who have received it and it would be close to impossible for their own artists to obtain it. No one can really do what BTS has done globally as far as spreading Korean culture and language in such a dignified and professional way. Plus, none of those other artists have ever been invited to speak at the UN, (three times!), been asked by UNICEF to be ambassadors for the “Love Yourself Campaign”, or been asked to visit the White House to speak against Asian hate. Since those labels know that their artists have a slim to none chance of even emulating BTS’s achievements, all they could do was to complain. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂😂😁💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Serves them right. If they hadn’t used BTS as example to give their petition clout when neither them nor their company were involved, they probably wouldn’t have gotten a change that only fit BTS. Use your own artist’s’ achievements next time.

The misogyny lyrics were actually for War of Hormones & Joke (RM). That’s why we don’t see these songs performed since then. Google a bit more to see which lyrics..

Artist's while in the military are not allowed to earn money from performing. So Jin and J Hope can't, however they still are receiving money from their group work and solo work done before entering the military which is ok. They even prepared their 'Take Two' group song for ARMY as their 10th anniversary before they went into the military.

I did however watch the Grammys when they said kept saying BTS was up next. I was so mad how they did that and also watched their livestream afterwards. You will not ever hear BTS members put down other artists or groups! They are too busy caring about life, Army and their own behavior! If other groups learned some of this from BTS they might also get somewhere because they would show their fans that they are good people! BTS thrives by being decent and caring! Especially for their Army! I am almost 70 years old and am Army, albeit I call myself Silver Maple Army because I am Canadian Army, hence the maple leaf!

In fact, the issue with boy in luv was not like that. They had trouble with some lyrics which could be interpreted as misogynistic, speacially War of Hormone. They then realeased "21st century girl" and years later "Boy With Luv"; as a show of growth, because they are not a boy who is in love and want egotistically others to love him back anymore, but the boy now is full of love to give, which makes others love him too.

I have had no issues with their older songs and MVs. I see much worse here in the US. Those people were just trying start trouble for the sake of starting trouble. I am a 55 year old woman for context. But I do appreciate that they do not want to do anything that would offend anyone.

Whenever i see this video i got so mad but then on the other hand all i see that after all this BTS followed their path and stayed humble this showed how badly they wanted that dream ❤ #respect

Because of the issues of BTS not being respected and being able to get on shows, SUGA created his show: Suchwita in Dec 2022. Although they don't need it now, he has a place for his brothers to present their SOLO acts...and for others who have similar issues. They had to create RUNBTS and now Weverse to connect and be themselves with the artist. No longer depending on certain platforms to reach ARMY. Also creating Weverse Magazine to have non bias articles. They even opened Weverse up to the other agencies. They are "writing the map over again", as RM has said before when we find difficulty.

YES!! My love and admiration for Suga more than tripled when he revealed his motivation/intention for the show. “Snooze” isn’t just a beautiful song, Suga really means to provide others like them the support he and his brothers were denied. They are DONE with letting the abusive tactics slide and taking the proverbial bull by the horns. I applaud them for it.

Just wanted to say that in regards to the cabbage patch kids cards and the radio station comments, this was during a time where Asians all over the world were being attacked and even killed by racists who blamed these random innocent people for the virus. The shows were all controlled by the bigger agencies. They were terrified that Big Hit was going to score well with BTS and did everything they could to stand in the way. Big Hit's philosophy was very different from the factory turned out music, and horrible training practices they used to control their artists. Those companies paid for haters to do all manner of things on social media, and had their magazines to write hit pieces on both Big Hit, and BTS. They would pick out each member until they got to J hope. It worked with him, so they kept at it. This was when ARMY went to work and as they grew, ARMY would go after the hate, TV, radio shows, all the BS. ARMY would swing into action to stick up for the boys and worked to stop racism, bigotry and xenophobia, not only for BTS but they have called out Taylor Swift haters, anyone saying bad stuff about Halsey, or Coldplay. Army is not about promoting hate, but to call it out and stop it.

the media in SK worked so hard at downplaying BTS and erasing their achievements or crediting others for them, that many people of the general public over there were shoked at how loudly and big the international public reacted when news about BTS' enlistment came out. They were surprsied that BTS were so famous and at the criticism their government was recieving for the shitty way they handled this whole BTS enlistment issue. Like no shit, BTS are only literally the most famous SK act, one of the most impactful in terms of economy and culture, and not accounting just the music industry, and are spreading SK culture worldwide. The brainwashing the SK media spread worked on their public nonetheless.

Correction, BigBang were popular but they aren't pioneers. They were just one of the second generation groups that got popular overseas. Pioneer would be Seo Taiji or groups like H.O.T., 1TYM or g.o.d. BigBang were simply the most successful outside South Korea and some members of BTS were teens at the time BigBang's career was peaking. I used to be their fan but they got involved with lots of crime-related & other scandals so a large portion of their international fandom dissolved.

If you watch kdramas you would see scenes like Boy in Love all the time. That’s how boys show their like for a girl in the dramas, pushing her against the lockers, grabbing her wrist and pulling her along the hallway to get her away from a crowd that was harassing her, etc. However, it was the song War of Hormones they were criticized for misogyny. The mentality of the rich, big corporations, government officials, thinks anyone below them and especially the general public are brainless animals who shouldn’t have have the brain cells to question anything they do. It goes back to centuries and millennia of that type of beliefs. I think it’s changing however as most people know change takes a long time and the momentum changes back and forth. All abled body makes in South Korea must enlist in the military by the age of 28 years old. You guys had such good and intelligent discussions throughout the video and I really enjoyed it 💜.

Suga shut down having the press conference derailed by plagiarism questions, questions that had only been raised by one French reporter. The press conference was about the new album, not rumors started by one person. It wasn't just that Suga was giving the "company' answer, he was shutting down any further questions about this during the broadcasted press conference. "The company is following up with the reporter and will address this when they have more answers." Hard to ask a follow up to that.
