We were the owners of Mildred before Frank bought it from us. She had been off the road for years so was covered in mildew and had been red, so I christened her Mildred! A shame the media seeded a rift between Fred and his wife. Take a look at the old "documentaries" about Fred uploaded here on KZread, the commenters there who actually knew the Dibnah's said she and everyone else was fine with his steam obsession and old school life-style until the ones making the documentaries walked up to her and went "hey you know this isnt normal, right?" just to make her think about outward appearances and react more dramatically when, at the time, he was making room on his property for another project, effectively destroying the family (she divorced him). He limited his exposure to media from then on.
