It’s crazy to think he has never met me in my life but he is the reason that I know how to trap Beaver’s now. Growing up we only trapped fox and raccoon I decided to get into Beaver’s had no clue so I would just watch his videos and do exactly what he did and have had no issues putting beavers up since then. another great video buddy keep them coming.

Have been an avid watcher of 330 and Trapper J for 3yrs but never your site,until now. I subscribed and will now have 6 different Beaver Trappers to watch and learn/adapt from. Beavers are my passion and you can always learn something from someone when it comes to the sport. Scott is an absolute Animal when it comes to bagging Beaver for sure. Same here! Done a lot of rats, coon, possum, and fox but never beaver. We're allowed 1 per season and never seen any in my area.

My favorite critter to trap is that beaver. I love my Blake and Lamb double long spring for caster mound sets. Awesome video. Great guest on your channel. I never was able to depress those 330 springs without setters. I would hate to piss him off.

Ya I use to go with my older Gary trapping beaver, actually I was with to help carry them out of the woods as we didn't too many places along roads to trap, my brother would trap the ponds near the roads first so nobody else would get there before him, but he was a great beaver trapper, he doesn't do it anymore, because of his health issues and then the fur prices are low in our area of northern Wisconsin near lake Superior's south shore in Bayfield county Wisconsin, but he caught a lot of beaver and I carried a lot of them heavy sobs but I was learning how to trap beaver with him, and he let me set leg holds during the fall season, I did okay, I lost a few ended up with toes and a foot, but I wish I would've thought about the long rebar poles for the drown sets, I just mite go do that this spring to see how I do, as there's a lot of beaver in my area, 5 beaver ponds in about a mile away from my home in Grand View Wisconsin. But I enjoy watching your video's trapping cooners and cats and other stinkers, I use to trap coon back in the days of early 80s and earlier than that with my brother Glen, I have 4 brothers and I am the baby of 5 siblings, my folks have gone to heaven, so we all are living the dream, I am glad that Scott is doing great on trapping animals but I am jealous of him being able to trap the houses, we can't do that in northern Wisconsin. The Reeses of trapping!!

word of advice on the colony traps. make your traps 3" taller and put a 3" piece of turkey wire at top of each opening then attach your doors to the bottom wire of that piece. muskrats tend to climb that door and bite onto the top wire and die. when the traps are like yours it makes the doors ineffective and you miss catches. that extra piece up top allows that door to still swing in while puhing the dead one that has bit onto that top wire to float upwards as another rat hits the door. i have had 7-8 big iowa rats in one trap doing that. will help get you more multiples.

That’s my old neck of the woods. Been in western North Dakota for 12 years now.
