Yay! Schematics. I like all of the repairs, but the schematics are my favorites.

Thank you for doing this Ron. I actually enjoy when you get into the weeds on your troubleshooting. Certainly, you do not need to do that for every situation. But it is a great way to demonstrate the troubleshooting techniques and logic. Of course, I have a background in electronics, so I can follow the schematics fairly well. But my background is digital... in EM systems there is a physical aspect that takes some learning. You are coaching my skills with EM machines for sure. Be safe and be well sir!!

So close..lol. Keep it up. I own a bunch of these and lend some to a local pinball club. I have an Out of Sight that will eventually be rotated in. My em pins are powered on about 25 hours per week at the clubhouse. When dialed in, they are still quite reliable dispite their being 45 to 50 years old.

Thanks for the video! I'm currently going through a bally air aces and it's doing the exact same thing with jumping to the next player and scoring on multiple players. Hopefully I can get it right.

Well of course....The PB relay won't work unless it works in conjunction with the J relay. When they work properly together you end up with a PB and J.....peanut butter and jam relays always seem to confuse folks.

I had a Gottlieb Outer Space years back I think it had a wierd problem like your problem. I found a tech put a cam gear in 180 out. I believe it was the player unit. This was over ten years ago so my mind may not be remembering right.

I was laughing at pinball jail for wiring the right flipper button to the "open gate" switch - and yes that is clearly cheating. Oh and my local arcade recently switched their Space Oddysey from 5 balls to 3 and I'm still in trauma. I once heard the 5 ball / 3 ball thing is a west coast/ east coast , but I think it changed right along with the move to solid state and video games which set the standard at 3 lives per game. (Though I suppose one could set a pac man to 5 lives)

Great Job.... I know something about electricity, and diagrams... and I was getting a headache around the 27 minute mark... ugh. I guess if I had the machine in front of me, but still... I give you a lot of credit... C'mon people... That's cheating... C'mon now... You're only going to get a few more points.... do you really wanna look over your shoulder for the rest of your life????
