@@wisconsinking323 One of the members of her studio tried to paint Vivziepop in a bad light because she forgot to add a link to the Lackadaisy kickstarter while she was promoting it on twitter, which lead to people exposing said member for liking transmisogynistic tweets (& it became it's own drama). Fans got angrier when they found out that the donation from SpindleHorse got rejected & suspected it was because of the silly drama between Viv & the member, looking back it's likely they didn't accept the donation because they were already getting enough support (I remember thinking when they reached their goal "that was fast"), but that's just what I think ATM plus Vivziepop was cool about it.

If I had a dollar everytime an artist tries to make their own project (pilot, webcomic, etc) or suddenly blows up in popularity the “hatedom” suddenly erupts overnight and go digging for /years/ old content of quite questionable content or make shit up I think I’ll be rich. Drilling “fetish” isn’t even that… bad? Like this is a massive NOTHING burger. If it was actual illegal content sure but drilling..? Some people need to go outside.

I'm not a big fan of TADC, but I'm not gonna DOX people. Just because you hate something doesn't mean that it should be removed. I have a feeling that The Amazing Digital Circus is going to to wonders for helping us end the Hatedom's shrinking influence once and for all, as Indie animation goes from big to BIGGER (because let's be honest this is now bigger than Hazbin EVER was on release) it might lead to the majority of the internet taking second looks at indie animation and seeing the medium for what it truly can be. The more mainstream indie animation gets the harder it will be for the Hate to shine through.

I think the reason why the hatedom is so hard on indie shows on the internet is because 1) you know the creator and can find everything about them online 2) there's no big compagnie name protecting the show 3) maybe there's some envy here for something popular 4) it's easier to hate something than just, build good critisism. I just hope with now glitch in the game and all those indie shows coming together, it will be a better protection agaisn't this hatedom or even lower it.

The only reason why shows like this get so much hate is because they aren't just some big studio, they're created by a small studio with people who are quite active on social media and online so it's easier to attack them. It's sad because everyone these days think they're a critic but it's like not everything needs to be critiqued?

It worries me too since I’m beginning to create my own series with my own stories, especially when people bring up mistakes I did in the past so it’s why I don’t really like getting too much attention anymore

Yeah getting attention has become risky and that sucks ass. You want people to see your stuff because you want to show your passion but then that popularity attracts the bad apples who want to ruin you because they apparently they don’t want to contribute to society by not being chronically online

I remember an animation memer (who I also am kinda active in their server) who basically got into drama over something VERY personal that happened in their past that got overblown when it brought too much public attention. Actually, it's hard to find any animation memer that ISN'T dragged down by controversy (deserved or not)

Like I said before, it’s events and doxxings like this that make it afraid of putting my own work and projects out there for people to see. It’s absolutely repulsive that people actually decide to doxx someone online for the tiniest things. I’ve been nearly doxxed before in the past, all over the fact that I didn’t want to be friends with another person anymore. I’m hoping that this situation gets resolved soon, but then again I’m not sure you could even resolve a doxxing situation

I already mentioned this to another user, but never let the trolls win over something petty. All they crave is attention. They're nothing more than bullies who spew hate for no reason, just because they're insecure about themselves! Whatever you create, never let any of these haters get to you. Everyone has them. But there will be an audience waiting to see what you put out in the world. And thanks to what we're seeing so far, there's a lot of other artists who feel inspired to follow in their footsteps and try their hand at creating something great! If they were able to gain a great following, you can as well! The biggest risk to take is taking no risk at all!

Right. I like all three of these shows in question and yeah, some people don't and that's fine. Not everything is made to cater to every person's personal interests. Not liking something is OK and you don't have to try to destroy the things you don't like and threaten people's lives just because you don't like it and can't understand why other people do. You can tell these losers are the same kids who would throw a massive temper tantrum during other kids birthday parties and HAD to get their own gifts and cake with candles just to appease their spoiled little egos because their parents were too lazy or too cowardly to tell them no and explain the very simple concept that not everything is about them.

People should like what they like, but if the idiots who chose to target not only the creators but also voice actors for these works have nothing better than they should know what it feels like to be harassed. It's shameful that someone would try and hate on a well crafted animated show just because it's not something they like, but just because someone has an interest in something outside the norm (even just artwork) that doesn't necessarily mean they actively like or engage in the activity

It’s genuinely alien to me how some people make it their entire identity to hate on what seem to be anything popular just for the sake thereof. Like “hey look this new animation became popular. I’m going to pour through literal years of Twitter history for every single voice actor and creator in the project to find even a single thing to create a controversy over.” Like just… bruh. Granted, there have been times these kind of people have uncovered serious things like actual pedo stuff, but almost always it’s them making a mountain out of molehills because they have a need for any arbitrary reason to be hostile. Like they go from finding a comic panel they did in 2021, accusing her of it being her fetish. She replies with a joke, which boils down to “I can neither confirm nor deny.” They then use that as proof that it’s their fetish. And THEN they go even further to accuse her of watching CP while watching her (alleged according to them) fetish. I mean holy mental gymnastics Batman. They need to make up a whole fictional scenario in their head to justify their actions.

Twitter is now run by someone who can’t really even keep the company from falling apart, best to not even have an account on there at all anymore. Most major businesses are pulling away and I don’t blame them.

Gonna be honest I think a lot of the haters are industry plants. It wouldnt surprise me if some of the bigger studios are intimidated by the indie scene, so they have their social media departments make fake accounts to stir up drama and dox indie creators. It is so downright suspicious to me that this drama is only spurring up around indie animation and not on Triple A mainstream productions.

I'm starting to feel like there needs to be some kind of system or site where all of this can be compiled and sent to local police departments. It probably wouldn't work and would be too Orwellian, but people shouldn't be allowed to threaten to kill people online and get away with zero repercussions. I'm far from a big fan of any of these creators involved (I don't know most of them), but I can't stand individuals being hate mobbed for literally no reason. There are indie cartoons that are uploaded every single day. It's just that indie animation is consistent of a few big shows and everyone assumes that's indie animation. When in reality it's 1 guy making a cartoon cause he can. Indie animation has lost its way. I'm not a hater but I feel like it's become too industrelized with giant teams instead of you and a bud making a cartoon over the summer and posting it.

It's only been over a MONTH and Goose gets doxxed. God people are just...ugh...hope they find millipedes in their bedsheets tonight.

Having been Doxxed because of fallout from Story arc in my S.O's comic strip myself. I can deeply empathize with what these creators are going through as it can have dire consequences.

Ok this is a bit off topic but the creator of skibidi toilet, DaFuqBoom has also gotten in a situation like this, a month ago people tried to cancel him because he made a few edgy jokes a few years ago and now recently, this was a week ago but a group of haters had falsely copyright striked DaFuq's videos and there plan was to make sure that he doesn't upload a video ever again and they even doxxed and threatened to blackmail him. Luckily KZread stepped in and remove the false strikes and things are good for now.
