It always amazes me the patience some pets can have with babies pulling at their fur, or lips, whatever. This dog definitely needed a house full of kids to be happy.

It is the same with cats. Cats actually detect when there is a baby so they are more affectionate. When I was born we had this cat samsung she would not let anyone touch her and she scared everyone even my mom. However when I was close to her she would let me touch her.

I think dogs know when there is a human baby, they change completely, at least most dogs I've known and it's the sweetest thing! ❤

I know, right? I loved how she checked on each of the kids.

She is just living the best life she could possibly have!

She reminds me of my golden. Neighborhood kids would knock on our door to borrow her for the day. At the end of the day, she would be tired and dirty. Not until many years later, a father in a neighborhood asked us if we wanted to know what our dog had been up to during the day. He shared some photos of her sitting on a radio flyer wagon pulled by children and her at the top of the swing set with children. She was the mascot of the lemonade stand.....etc. She lived a full life. RIP Tina.

Her face… so much motherly warmth and tenderness ❤

Now that is the definition of patience.

What about the definition of insanity ?

Some people feel they have a "calling" in life. That one PURPOSE for which they were meant to serve and that brings them fulfilment. Nana's calling is clearly taking care of babies and toddlers. And she appears to be more attentive, patient, and helpful than some parents.

OMG, if only Winnie (Nana) could run her own daycare; she’s a natural! The nightmares you hear about daycare centers on the news these days, “Nana’s Daycare” is bar-none. Your kid will definitely be safe in her paws. 🥰. Love this story!

Another huge benefit is that these children are learning how to interact and respect dogs. Dogs give us so much more in return for giving them food, safety and care. Winnie = Love

So sweet! Winnie is scared and nervous for herself but when she is the caregiver to little babies, she is fearless and protective!

I have never had a Goldie, but have never met one that wasn't the sweetest dog. I tell people that if you could take the emotion that is Love, and rap in Golden hair, it would be a Golden retriever.

She wasn't satisfied with anything else because she knew that her purpose was to be a Nanna.😩❤️🤗

I had read numerous times that Golden Retrievers are at their best when they have a job to do, and Winnie has found hers. What a great story, and a fabulous dog and doggie parents.

This truly just melted my heart! Winnie found her family and her passion ~ beautiful! Hugs for Winnie and her human litter 🌺🌸🐾💜🩷💛💚

She just needed a purpose, siblings to take care. Awesome

Golden Retrievers are the true Nana dogs. I have had 3 and they were amazing with my kids. Like a third parent in the house always worried about the kids.

There's nothing more lovely than a dog developing a bond with a child growing up.

She has a purpose so now she's content and happy 😊

What a good girl! My family got our first golden when I was 2 and Molly lived til I was 17. She was just like Nana. My dad always said he'd trust her alone in a room full of infants. She was so gentle and protective of me. Even when she was old and grey faced, and could barely stand up, she would still try to protect me from strangers. I genuinely knew she would always protect me with her life 😪. I hope I'm wrong about the afterlife- and that I'll get to see her again.

Every family I've ever known who had golden retrievers had multiple generations as they fell in love with the breed. I am headstrong that bully breeds are the "best" nanny dogs as they have more personality yet are staunchly loyal and observant... but goldens have such a sweet nature that they truly deserve that title as much as Staffordshires!
