Been doing DIY drywall for 25 plus years at my home and helping friends. So I know enough to get it finished ( or just enough to be dangerous), but every video of your's I watched this afternoon taught me multiple ways to do better work, cleaner look and less elbow grease. Thanx, Ordered one of these this afternoon for a medium sized project. May not use it a lot but will definetly help these old shoulders.

Looking forward to your review on cordless sanders..... Off the top of my head, a brushless motor is light weight compared to a brushed AC motor. It going to be on the head, but it's balanced by the battery. No brushes to replace, ever. No cable to replace ever, I'm looking at getting the DeWalt. Disadvantage, run time.... DeWalt was in partnership with Porter cable so they should know what they are doing pretty well.

Yeah i hear you. Im from California and before the pandemic people out here were just crossing boundaries and over charging their clients my dad does cabinet finish work and i help him here and there when he has too much of a work load and ive seen a few times where contractors or in some cases designers get thrown out of homes simply for pulling those deals on people who are more familiar with the construction industry.

Ordered this through your link just before Christmas and 10 minutes into the first use, I hit a wire hanger sticking out of the wall that I missed when prepping the room. Tore the pad on the machine, bummer but totally my fault. The company is not very easy to get ahold of to order a replacement. Website is nearly impossible to navigate and i couldn't find the tool on their site, so finally tracked them down on facebook, and they're not very prompt on their response. I am still able to use the tool, and like it, but just wanted to let others know that repair/replacement parts may be difficult to get.

Thanks for the review Guy. Would like to see a review on the Mirka if possible. Your reviews are important as you have vast knowledge and experience in the trade. Not every one can afford to buy the next dustless system as they come along, and of course, there have been many failures in the past. Inventors should listen to people like you in the research, design and development of the dustless pole/motor head, and HEPA vac systems. See if you can get some tool engineers together and hold a basic sanding pole over there head for 4 hours. Guaranteed it will open up their mind and give a whole different meaning to overhead weight. Anyone can think of an idea/product to make money by selling it to the end user. The question is.....,"does the product work and serve its intended purposes which are increase production, decrease dust and produce a drywall finish second to none? Another equally if not more important issue to be addressed is tool repair, replacement parts, the bags, filters etc. This is a major problem where I live and I have only seen it get worse over the years. Again, thanks for the honest review.

No, we should always charge a fair price but I found that the majority of new contractors don’t know what that is. They don’t know how to take in the true cost of operating a business and think that because they’re making $50 an hour they are killing it because they used to only make $30 an hour and that’s very untrue. And it usually takes about two years for those guys to realize they’re going broke and were doing better off working for someone else. I’ve always priced my jobs by the job as a flat rate because I know what my skills are worth. And usually I’m still competitive with other guys that will take three times longer.

What’s more likely is that you aren’t putting enough pressure against the ceiling. My porter cable will jump around if you don’t run it right but I have worn out two motors on my sander so I’m pretty good at it and make it look easy.

And i have no experience doing this. It ‘s so hard to find a contractor who knows what their doing in terms of quality when it comes to skim coating. I’ve had terrible jobs in the past. And i git burned so many times. Do you know any company that does skim coating that you can refer to me here in California. I would definitely hire you if you were here in CA.:) thanks for your help!

The ginour Doesn’t require a vacuum so it would be the more budget friendly. They both do the job about as well though.

They all work well for part time use. But they are all a bit of a workout, more than hand sanding, due to the weight (nearly 10 lbs) and the spinning action. But one like this with the motor closer to your body is easier on you- amzn.to/3ytXg2k

Festool - Luxury power tools. their drywall sander is possibly the best on the market based on other independent reviews and testing. Thank you for the reviews, I am thinking of a sander for larger jobs and these types of videos really help. I hope you get well soon. on a side note I believe that any veteran should not be on the hook for healthcare regardless of their Countries system. Anyone who protected ones rights and freedoms through military service should not have to worry about such things.
