This GIANT SPILLWAY Was ON FIRE, but She Wanted To FIGHT...... (CATCH, CLEAN, COOK!)

GEAR LINKS BELOW!
Today we are fishing below a massive spillway in hopes of finding some nice fish to take home for supper! Turns out they were stacked up, but the bite was very strange. We ended up taking home a bucket full of fish so tune in to see how it all played out and how we decided to cook them up! Thanks so much for watching and we will see you on the next one!

Jay, you need not worry about not catching many fish on this trip. You have a great catch in your man. He cares so much for you, catches, cleans, and cooks the fish for you. Even those that you catch. And, of course, you are the greatest catch of his life. I have been a fisherman all of my life, and I am seventy-five and still fishing. And I can count on one hand the number of times that I have found women who would enjoy fishing. But you look forward to going fishing Cole, as well as herping, gardening, and checking out the local bugs and other critters. I envy you two. Many Blessings and Happy New Year 🎉!!!

so you were asking about different ways to cook fish. one of my favorites you can try is coat the fillet with mayonnaise, sprinkle bread crumbs on it and put on a pan in the oven. 350 for about 15-20 mins. then sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. broil for 2 mins to melt and crust up the cheese then it’s ready to go. give it a shot and let me know what you think. i love watching you guys so much thank you for all your videos.

Always a good video. Well, here’s our family recipe. We shallow fry ours. All you need is some eggs and flour, some salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Grab about three eggs and 2 tsp of water and mix them together. Add in some seasoning. Add some flour to a plate and season. Take the fillets, get them flowered up and then dip them in to the egg mixture. Lift the fillet and let the egg drip off and then back into the flower. That’s it. Fry till done. Good luck!

Here are a couple of different cooking methods to shake it up for you , so you don't always have to fry your fish. !. Whole stuffed fish with bacon. I like using fish around the two pound range for this recipe. Clean your fish and scale it, either with head on or off . Stuff it with either chopped apples or mango. Add some butter and lemon slices. Wrap the fish with bacon held on with toothpicks. Bake it in Castro pan at 350 for 30 minutes or so. 2. Fish Castroral: felet your fish, season then how you want. Place them on the bottom of a baking pan. Cut up some celery and mushrooms if you like, then crush up your favorite crackers. Cover your fish in ranch dressing (or other desired sauce). Add the crushed crackers, celery and mushrooms on top, bake at 350 for 45 minutes, then serve and enjoy! I have a couple more recipes but these are my favorites! .

Put fish on a sheet of foil with herbs and spices and some butter, fold the foil over and close it then bake it in the oven on low heat or put on hot coals on the grill to bake fairly slowly. It's a great way to fix trout. Lemon-pepper is good for it.

There is a way to cook fish where you put baking paper around it then cover it in cooking rock salt I heard it's good...kind of a euro thing I think? Just giggle it if you're interested. Usually done with a larger whole fish so maybe a 5-7 pound stripper? Or try using a seasoned mayonnaise instead of egg or milk before breading/flouring

Gillgetter.....next time soak your fillets in buttermilk for two hours before frying. Takes all tbe fishy taste out of the meat. My wife taught me that 25 years ago. Of course we only eat crappie and sauger now bit from time to time we will fillet a few stripe out. Removing the blood line is a must though. Seriously....try soaking your stripe fillets in buttermilk. I think you will be surprised. We also do thatvwith catfish especially if they are not flathead.

I loving fishing but I can only catch and release. I have a food allergy to fish. It sucks sometimes I catch some nice ones.

I do lake trout and salmon on the grill. Need oily fish for that, maybe in an aluminum pouch with veggies on grill?

Fried, seasoned with rosemary, when done remove last of the fish then poor apple cider vinegar into skillet mix with renderings enough to poor over each fish then serve.
