The letter the dog had, was for the guy whom everyone was mean to. He snapped and murdered everyone and then himself. The Diary was from the guy who killed everyone. There was a moment where you see the kid run off with the dog, because the guy was a ghost. Then you see everything from the landlord's perspective.

The strandet deep series really made me love him

I think it’s interesting that Kohei lived in room 404. He has a disability and sadly Japan is known to look down on people with disabilities in their community. I noticed the landlord was charging Kohei more then the other residents… which is messed up. But I wonder if the developers purposely added that in there because 404 means like an error in computer communications referring to the residents thinking that Kohei is an error. OR maybe they are referring to the “404 not found” page that pops up when you try to click on a dead or broken link.👀 I hope you do play for the first ending, I’d like to see it!

Not sure on that, interesting theory. Culturally, 4 is the death number and an ill omen in Japan, they skip over it. I figured it had more to do with that. Usually doubling it or more is an even worse omen. 404 is doubling down on the 4=death and he basically killed everyone in his room to illustrate this superstition and cultural belief. It may be based on something real involving 4 in their history, not sure. Need a Japanese culture expert or someone who is Japanese who knows and can let us know.
