Fabi still won the tourney. Only player he lost to was OG players. All the young ones were like “We’re coming after u Fabi” N fabi was like “You yunguns have no idea who you’re playing against”

The title should be; "I will squeeze Fabi tight, and Watch him explode!" From his pre-game interview.

I vividly remember another Anish win against Fabi: Tata steel, immediately after reaching time control and time is added Fabi blunders a bishop if I remember and Anish captured with his knight moving backwards and then looking at Fabis face as if to say "wanna resign?". Fabi resigned soon enough.

11:35 my friend at the St. Louis chess club who isn’t even a titled player drew Fabiano in a rated blitz game.

Anish being in top 20 for a long time, still feels like an underdog.

There is no time control on move 40 in this tournament. They have 2 hours for the whole game from the start with 30 sec increment

Sometimes I feel like when top players get the black pieces, they become fixated on getting an opposite color bishop situation and they aren’t objective about whether they’re actually making a draw.

If anybody asked me, what the head to head score off Anish vs anyone was, I'd say: "50 draws!"

I'm sure the camera is triggered by some voice command... Change the settings to where the camera does not follow voice commands...

He got a new camera a few months ago (?) and it does that some times. There’s some really funny moments of it zooming and panning in videos when he first got it.
