I just knew that big fish was a shark... been there so many times lots of laps around the boat... and it was a huge Jack. Great action SS... you had me breathing hard and helping you pull it up...LOL

We killed it at site 5 last weekend. 20+ Lane Snapper with the biggest being 19". We had something big grabbing our fish after we hooked up and it put up a similar fight. We never got it to the surface to see what it was as each one broke off. We thought it was a shark or grouper, but it didn't take a ton of line. We were using light tackle, so it was a fun fight.

That was a awesome trip! A bit bumpy out for sure but definitely a great day on the water. I personally never seen a jack that big. I wonder why you can't keep a red in federal waters?

So what happens if u catch a keeper red inshore then go offshore later in day do u. Have thru earlier one out

Good question, if you catch a Red Rum inshore and plan to go offshore you have four options. 1. Head back to the ramp and throw your drum in a cooler of your truck. 2. Don’t go offshore 3. Start a KZread Channel and have irrefutable evidence of where you caught it on video. 4. Take your chances getting stopped on the way back in and risk heavy fines.
