Still theorize that discord didn't "die" in this. As true fans know, not only does he exist as long as chaos itself exists. We also know he only needs a second to cast any form of his magic. Cue the PIE scene, that could have been just enough time to snap a finger silently, create a magic clone to fight/distract bill, hide himself on the very letter he wrote as 2D, then while Bill is busy with the clone he would save his friends. I mean they WERE safe back in Equestria with the letter, so this would make sense. Plus discord wouldn't canonically KILL someone, at least Post-Fluttershy. It would break her heart, but sending him back where he came from.. Now THAT would fit the bill, pun totally intended. Then after the portal closed and his clone was destroyed. He would use his magic, combined with the alicorns magic to ensure no more possible invasions from Bill.

While I do think Discord did technically "die" as you said he will return. If you consider this after Bill was banished from Earth, chances are he's going to be stuck there for the next millennia. How many naive people do you know that can create a portal to another dimention? Discord will return, again, and when he does he'll more than likely not make the same mistake twice and instantly banish Bill again.

Killing Bill might fall back on the Batman loophole; Vampires and such are not actually 'alive' so Bats will happily crumble them to dust/kill them off. Bill is not a living being as we know it.

Since Discord is a Force of Nature, all you have to do to revive him is create a chaos room. And given that he has a partner (Fluttershy) who has not only accidentally killed him, but learned how to make one of these chaos rooms to revive him, she can bring him back pretty easily. In the show, making a chaos room is just building entropy. Put a bunch of vases on the edge of tables, put chairs upside down or couches sideways going up the wall. Or even make a staircase that goes nowhere. That entropy builds because it's possible something bad will happen, and Discord is reborn when it all comes crashing down.

All it takes is a little bit of entropy (literally. ITS CANON.) So bill may have killed discord once, but at the cost of trapping himself into the nightmare realm. Discord may have died, but give him 2 years he'll be back for tea. Actually, give him 2 days, fluttershy canonically knows how to revive him. I have no doubt that in that letter he sent fluttershy, he told her to make a "chaos room" (a room designed to revive discord) and fluttershy's done it before, she knows how and what it does. He died sure, but he revives infinitely. Bill didnt die, but he's trapped for another few centuries. If he comes back to equestria discord will still be there to politely shove him back to the nightmare realm.

Moreover, discord can be revived really easily. In mlp fluttershy can do it and she has no magic. Its not difficult. Create a room full of entropy (put a vase at the edge of a table, chairs upside down, couches on their sides, etc) and sooner or later when things break, discord revives simply because he's an incarnation of chaos, and as long as chaos exists so will he. He's a personification of chaos and gets powers from chaos. Honestly the more bill creates weirdmaggedon (which goes without saying is chaotic) discord will just get more and more powerful. Enough to kill bill? Who knows, but even if not, weirdmaggedon's inherent chaoticness will just keep reviving discord by design lmao. It'll be a never ending tie. Maybe even a win for discord. Maybe a win for bill. Theyre both too ridiculously powerful and have so few limits on the caps you really can't say. Unless discord gets so annoying bill decides to fuck off and find some other target. Then its a...??? Tie i guess?

Bill won because he destroyed discord's body and soul (he killed him) but Discord usted his hability to turn things 2D and the time travel to avoid weirdmagedon in Equestria and send Bill back to the nightmare realm

This was a great battle and episode but tbh Discord should’ve washed Bill. They really gave Bill a lot of leeway in this. Like saying they’re equal in speed even though Bill has no good speed feats while Discord can casually move through time from speed alone, or that the Bell can’t drain Bill even though The Bell has worked on people that resist their power being taken, like Discord himself. Also they say Discord can’t regenerate his spirit even though in the same episode that they claim shows he can be erased, also showed that he can come back from being fully erased with just a little chaos. Probably the most egregious one though is them saying Discord wouldn’t take the fight seriously, even though Discord does take malicious reality warpers like Bill seriously, like his Ex Girlfriend Cosmos who they even mentioned. Discord takes the fight pretty handily, they just misinterpreted a lot of things and came to a flawed conclusion, still one of my favorite episodes though.

@@BillCiphersArtist Bill has stopped time but he’s never used it to actually stop a sentient being, hence why no one was frozen in time during Weirdmaggeddon, and he never really displays how he controls time as he claims so at best it’s something he just doesn’t use often enough to be a factor. Gaining power from Weirdmaggeddon isn’t really enough in this case. Discord draws power from chaos and Weirdmaggeddon would be causing a ton of chaos for Discord to absorb. So while Bill would be gaining power at a rate of X, Discord would be gaining power at a rate of X+1, meaning he would overtake Bill in power. And even then Discord is more than capable of just closing the Rift and shutting off Bill’s source of power, he can open and close dimensional tears with his bare hands. While they do have similar powers Discord can actually resist most of Bill’s while Bill can’t really resist the things Discord can do. Bill can’t counter having his mind destroyed, being turned to the opposite of his true self, being BFR’d back into the Nightmare Realm, turned to stone with the Stone Sleep spell or just getting erased from existence. While Discord can survive his soul being destroyed or removed, being turned to stone, having his matter changed, or making a deal with Bill, so none of Bill’s tricks will work on him. So yes Discord takes the fight pretty handily.

When you realize the writing in the breakdown was just them fucking around. Discord wrote with purple, bill with yellow, as expected. They were trash talking each other before the fight even started.

Honestly the reasoning for bill winning doesnt make sense. All the feats showed discord was stronger but they said that bill could erase souls but they didnt show any evidence of him actually being able to do it so he shouldnt actually have anything that could deal with discord.

I really dont get why they brought up Discord's time travel and mind erasing ability if they weren't gonna let him use it in the death battle. Plus the fact that he tears through dimensions like tissue paper while Bill can only reach the space between dimensions AKA Nightmare Realm. Bill has restrictions while Discord doesn't. Like, why even bring up that Discord knows how Bill's show ends during the fight? Discord has the perfect abilities to stop Bill. He needs to have anchors already established in a dimension. Like the prophesy Stanford read on the cave wall. He waited a trillion years to get to earth, interacting with humans all the while. He planted the seeds to break himself free. Meanwhile, Discord is shown to rip open other dimensions and universes casually because he can. So why bring up that Discord has seen Gravity Falls if you aren't going to use that? Discord has traveled faster than light *on accident* just cause he wanted to go to a tea party. He didn't even notice that he went back in time. When has Bill ever been shown to go anywhere near that fast? Discord has been shown to snap his fingers through time whenever he wants on multiple occasions. Bill meticulously plans everything centered around his goal. However, he has to actively take time to search for something in order for him to know about anything specific. This is shown multiple times in his show. He himself is never shown to time travel. They brought up how Discord only got serious when faced with an entity of his strength. Trapping that entity in the stars or whatever. So, since Discord has seen Gravity Falls, why wouldn't he just snap a unicorn hair shield bubble around Bill when he decides to get serious? It wouldn't drain Bill's power, but they specifically said Bill and his weirdness influence can't get through it. He'd be stuck. Then you could just kick him to another dimension since he can't escape. Bill's whole thing is that he has restrictions. Oversights that he doesn't anticipate. Discord's whole thing is that he's limitless to the point of not caring. His only attachments are to his friend(s), and even then, he doesn't bother helping if he thinks they can handle it. Both characters get stronger from the chaos that surrounds them. Both characters get cocky cause they're used to being the top dog. That's what leaves them vulnerable. Whenever Bill gets serious, it's cause he's pissed from annoyances. Whenever Discord gets serious, it's cause realizes that he needs to stop playing and protect those he cares about.
