Your channel is such a wonderful resource for anyone recording and producing their own music. Although, I am close to making the move to switch to Logic. I see where you could use this on Garageband as well. Nice tip! One of your old tips I use all the time on vocals. I use your stereo delay trick as an effect on every lead vocal I do, and it adds so much to my vocal mix.

Good video. Also, this is a great trick/method to record a Hammond/Leslie in stereo, which can be a real pain with phasing and balance problems. But using a panned delay esp. on treble really fills it out when the bass side kicks in (recording a Leslie is always a challenge, but I love doing it this when doing so).

Your bus is clearly stereo (even though you have it labelled mono slap), but you have your pan set to “balance” mode on the bus channel. You need to right-click on the pan control and select stereo pan. Lots of content out there explaining this. All you have done is turned down the left channel, changing the balance.

It's a good point! It was originally a mono slapback then I decided to add the stereo reverb. I do typically set my stereo tracks to balance before panning, but in this case with it just being an effect, I'm okay with it functionally just turning down the left ear. Hopefully one day they'll offer a true stereo pan knobs option like pro tools so you have full control over both sides!

Does the lead vocal still sound like it is coming from dead center in the sound stage when you pan the aux with the effects to one side?

Great question! I think you just have to use your ears and best judgement. In general, though- the vocal should stay center and you'll just be noticing the effect off to one side
