Thank you for not "hiding" the mental health conversation that you had between yourself and the homeowner (because you didn't have to include it). You have NO idea how many people you have helped just by leaving this part in. We NEED to normalize conversations about mental health and the impacts that it can have on a person's life. That way, others will see it and know that not only are they not alone, but that they are "normal." Thank you for also being open about your own mental health journey. You truly are an inspiration!!

I just wanted you to know that you have a whole community behind you. I admire that you speak about your struggles with mental health lately. I have been in a hole myself. I lost my 21 year old son Jordan 18 months ago. When you talked with this lady about having to stay busy, I got chills. I have to be going 100 mph all the time, or my grief hooks it's claws into me and takes me down-physically as well as mentally. I actually wondered if constantly going and going was a coping mechanism, or if it was an avoidance mechanism, and hearing you say that made me feel "normal" for the first time about it. My son had kidney disease, he was diagnosed at 9 years old. He fought SO hard to survive. He suffered a catastrophic stroke due to his kidney disease, the stroke took out his entire brain stem. He was the middle of my 5 kids, and we desperately miss him. We are all fighting and trying to be present for each other, but our family misses him so so much... Whenever I am having a particularly rough grief day (which feels a lot lately), I find hearts. Heart rocks, heart stains on the pavement, even have some pics of heart shaped drywall mud droplets (we are remodeling our rental 😂). When I clicked on your video and started watching, I was taken aback. At 1:10 the cloud behind you was a perfect heart ❤ Thank you for spreading your generosity, kindness and love. My husband and I own a landscaping and handyman service business, and I know how incredibly hard this work is that you do every day! You always do a beautiful job, and I can tell that you are a genuinely kind human being. ❤️‍🩹

What you do is amazing ----- But what you teach & share is even more valuable, than just the mowing. Your gift of generosity, your showing of appreciation just to be able to mow for them, your friendly, calm, kind mannerisms in dealing with people. Your attention to the small details like climbing vines, your respect for animal/bug life. And now discussing your mental health dealings --- brings it into the "average Joe" zone == helps others not to be timid or shy about discussing their issues (as their not alone). Your a walking, talking, helping aide. Well done young man. Take a bow, you've earned it. 👏👏👏👏💞💞💞🙏🙏

I rescue and transport hurt animals in my spare time. There ARE ALWAYS ways to give back. Donating to the homeless, meals on wheels, soup kitchens, cleaning up a local park that might need trash picked up, etc. If everyone took the time to help others, then this world would be a nicer place. It also helps with depression and self worth. If you struggling, help someone in true need and you will get an emotional high from it. Promise 💜

You, the Boring Channel and S&B mowing have done and enormous amount of positive energy in people's lives that are not capable of the overgrowth that has overwhelmed and depressed them over the years. Now they can see clear of their future and have hope for their children as they play or swim in a once forgotten yard. Awesome amount of positive energy that you have created. I love how the equipment store supports your efforts and helps out. It's great to see how their products actually work in all kinds of crazy overgrowth.

I’m doing Bible study I’m doing counseling but, I am trusting God but I still think I deal with anxiety problems and now grief watching your videos in weird way help me because you were so awesome. God bless you thank you so much Al for showing there is recovery.

This lady is only one example of the people who do know and care how your doing. I am glad you’re taking care of your physical health as well as the mental health aspects, and I know how hard it is to admit you need help and reach out to find that help. I suffer from major depression and abandonment issues, so trusting another person is difficult for me and the other person. I have tried therapy and counseling, but again those pesky trust issues doesn’t allow me to open fully to another. The only way I fight depression is to focus on the positivity around me and not pay too much attention to the takers who make everyone feel bad. Also, walking and talking with my dogs is a major help because they know exactly what I am going thought and they just do their darnedest to bring my joy everyday. Keep fighting and know you’re not alone. We all have been damaged by others and the pandemic. I love your channel

Al, you did a wonderful, beautiful transformation on this property. They were truly blessed to have you. I have dealt with issues my whole 70 years of my life. The last 15 years I find a lot of peace mowing my own property every few days here in Wisconsin for up to 3 hours each time, but I am sooo calm when I am done. Keep on doing your thing!

Watching your videos helps me a lot, I suffer from Anxiety with Depression and also now being assessed for ADHD and Autism, but watching your videos helps a lot, your an amazing guy and you do amazing things for complete strangers. Keep up the amazing work and keep pushing forward, poor mental health is a horrid thing but we can get through anything if we truly want it enough.

Bringing mental health out in the open is a very good thing. I suffer from depression, which to me, is a shotgun word. It covers a lot of different things. My depression isn't the sad type of thing, mine manifests in anger. I would get ticked off at the smallest stuff. I finally went in and got it all dialed in. I'm not perfect, but I'm functioning a lot better than before. So many people suffer from depression, anxiety, you name it. There's help out there and there's no shame is seeking help. And be honest with your health care provider. Give them things they can work with, to help diagnose what's going on. Good luck to you Al, and to the lady whose yard you're fixing up!

I knew you were returning. At the end of your last video, you said you were coming back to finish. You are truly blessed Al. ❤🙏🙂

Thank you, Al, for talking about your path from anxiety-ridden to healthy mindset. I need to hear about the small steps one must take to chip away at the anxiety and depression. The more we sit in silence, not acting or moving, the worse we feel. It IS overwhelming to face the challenges, but we MUST take at least small steps to overcome it. Thank you again! You’re doing a great service to humanity just by living your life the way you do!
