As a disabled 81 year old, I can understand how it’s impossible to keep up with everything that needs doing. One problem that we, the elderly, face is isolation and a lack of socialization. Your little talks with her are just as important to her as the cleanup of her yard. Keep up the great work!!! 🇨🇦

When I was younger we had a next door neighbour who was elderly and he was deaf and had severe arthritis in his hands and I used to love going next door to visit him and sit with him and have a chat, especially after his wife passed away. He would show me their wedding photos and photos of his children and grandchildren. Sometimes he would bang on the wall in his living room between the two semis and my little sister and my mum would call for me to go over to his house and it was usually to get him something from the shops or to open a tin of tuna. I would also go knocking on the doors of four other elderly neighbours on our block and stand at their front doors chatting with them for a good hour or two. Don’t ask me why, but I loved speaking to all of the retired people who lived close by. This was when I was between the ages of 8 through to 18. Life was better back then. Nowadays everyone spends their time in isolation on their computers and phones. My nephews hang out with their friends playing computer games together remotely, so they’re all in their own homes speaking to each other through their headphones. Their parents have banned them from being in their computers between certain hours of the day or they’d never see their own kids!😂 If you’re good with technology, a good way to combat isolation is to FaceTime or video chat through WhatsApp with somebody. I did that during Covid isolation and had breakfast and dinner with friends and family every day.

Im not sure that the "Community Service" program still operates today, which is a shame (I may be wrong, and would like to be corrected if so). You are absolutely right that this should be a Community Service project. Years ago I was subject to a Community Service penalty, which I actually enjoyed participating in, doing jobs such as these, or working for local churches and charities. It gave me fresh focus and I continued to help others in need even after I has completed my Community Service Order. One thing I do remember is that the offender had "To Agree to perform unpaid labour", I suspect that many would no longer agree in todays world, or maybe it could be perceived as "Modern day slavery", but it does make one wonder.

@@louisebb4183 A "little bit every week" can already be a lot for someone with health or mobility issues, then it only takes one holiday or a fortnight in bed or hospital due to an illness or something to get behind, then suddenly it's unmanageable. Not to mention there's the inside of the house to take care of too, and I imagine that takes precedence. People not showing understanding about how this can happen is exactly the reason why someone might feel shame about it and refuse to ask for help.

When they’re done, if I’ve got enough time I can add another one. If not that’s two marked off without feeling overwhelmed by a long list. Rinse and repeat!❤

Yes, they are wonderful. But funnily he’s really a pressure washer guy who started helping folks with a blessing! Also you could check out ‘Tim the lawnmower man’ and ‘Blademate’, two Australian guys who do similar work for the community for free.

The Return Of The English Gentleman!! Just super respectable and awesome, guys. 🙆‍♂️🎉⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I DO hope, that OTHER men take heed or feel INSPIRATION from this. Did you know, that inspiration means "breath coming into somebody"? Meaning, that God breathes into our soul, and thus creating souls, that immidiately go OUT!! Out to do the Lord's work. Which shows itself in activities like these, for example. 🥰👍😀

You and your dad are such an example to your kids. Life is about caring for each other. You do what you love doing and there is no better job than knowing you make a difference in so many ways. What you promote and show gives hope to everyone. That is what blessings are about. Kress certainly has the best team to promote their business and obviously has a great work ethic like yours. Business is not just about making money it is about being a better person. Just the same for every working person. If everyone had that attitude the world would be an amazing place which it really is behind all the BS. Thanks for being a shining example bringing light to the world and paving the way for others to imitate the same philosophy to life.
