I havent kept up with heybike but I do remember when they were the brand with the affordable bikes. Looking through their website now, and they definitely stepped it up as a brand. Great to see as the more competition there is with ebikes, the better it is for us!

Yep. Their definitely one of the bigger brands out there now
Now THIS one I like! This is what I call a budget ebike done right. Any cheaper than this and you start getting into junk / garbage ebike territory. Never tried a heybike, but like you said, in the recent times it does look like they really stepped up their game as far as looks and parts go. I'll have to keep in mind when I'm helping someone pick an ebike again

You can remove the battery and flip the battery switch on the battery itself off. If you don’t plan to ride the bike for awhile, it’s recommended that you turn the actual battery switch off. Saves battery life, I guess.
Great Review Eric. I originally subscribed from a speaker but these bikes are really cool

Happy to help. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
$1200 after discount is pretty solid, especially for the specs on this. Good for heybike!

Yep.. definitely a great value ebike and one of the best I've tested this year
I would love to see you show the programming on the display! My Ranger S gives me whiplash and zips up to over 15 mph on PAS 1. I can regulate the speed for each PAS with the app, but if I don’t have my phone with me, it goes back to that default, which is waaay more than I want. I don’t want to have to bring my phone with me each time I ride, plus if someone else wants to ride my back, they have to take my phone with them. Help!🤪
Why does the handle bars shaft feel lose?
It seems a lot of brands are stepping it up . Same with Aniioki, Troxus and a few others

Meanwhile the big brands are getting greedy and keep raising their prices. Pretty much riding on "brand value" rather than actually trying to give the customer a good bang for your buck bike.

Yep. I think right now the ebike market is more competitive than it's ever been. Good stuff for consumers!

@@marv2400I haven’t noticed the increase in price for heybike brand, but I do think velotric e-bikes are pretty expensive compared to other e-bikes of similar specs. The newer ones they introduced are all $1799 for not much more improvement over the old one, only the velotric fold 1 is affordable.
Sweet discount. I dont need a new bike but definitely tempted! ..maybe my finger will slip

Lol.. I know the struggle
I love my Ranger S and im able to get around so easily. The only thing i cant seem to figure out is if it locks when you fold it? When its folded I cant just lift it and say roll it around on its wheels. But when i lift it up entirely it seems like it wants to open up
@EricReviews

No, it doesn't lock unfortunately. Oddly every folding ebike has the same problem and dont lock when folded.

I’ve seen some folks use a Velcro strap for holding it together after folding.
There’s 1000 watt option would it be faster and more torque I’m really interested in this bike
@EricReviews
21 күн бұрын
Yes, it'll definitely give a little more torque and speed. Not too much, maybe 2-4mph more, but for the $100 difference, I'd definitely get the 1000w.
Looks and sounds like a great bike but I just hate the name, lol. It just makes no sense to me and I just dont wanna tell people "yeah, it's a heybike!". I know its only a name..but its how I feel, lol

Hopefully you and anyone watching this video doesn't have a battery fail like mine did, Hey Bike tells me they're on backorder for 2 months.
OK so I just got this bike and I'm honestly kinda pissed. The website says 32 mph then you ask there website it says 25 and another spot on it says 28. The whole reason I chose them was because of the speed and now I feel like they lied to me. Like don't get me wrong I love the bike but for the price my dang son's scooter goes that fast and we paid $300. Also don't like the power always staying on if I want gps connected my headlight will stay on in the garage so I have to power it all down. Also my milage on the bike was showing more then my phone GPS now I can't even ride it till I talk to them about the speed because it says it's already at 9 miles n cap for return is 10 I am running 3 almost 4 miles ahead of what my GPS on my phone told me.

Unfortunately, top speed is something all manufacturers like to stretch. It's similar to cars claiming gas milage you'll never be able to achieve in the real world. You can probably reach 32, but that's gonna be full speed + pedaling as fast as you can. 90% of ebikes with a 750w motor will only reach about 28-29mph. To go quicker, you usually need a 1000w motor or 52v system. There's a FEW that can go past that, but it's not that common and usually costs more than 1500 The bike has automatic headlights that turn on when it detects darkness. Under the throttle, there's a button that's kind of hidden that saids "AUTO". Press that, and that'll turn off the auto headlight feature. Lastly, for the GPS being off, go into the heybike app and there should be an option to adjust tire size. Once you adjust that, it should be accurate. If it's not in the app, hold + and - on the controller and that'll get you the in bike settings

Yeah I just saw the part how to unlock higher speed because of your video. I was only getting to 20mph and the sticker on the bike said only 20mph. Sadly I didn't have the app downloaded yet when I took it out because my phone space was 2 full so I was going off my GPS on my phone. As long as I can get the speed to atleast 25 then I'm happy. But I do think they need to make it clear on there website I think it's marked wrong because the 750 and the 1000 are showing the same specs unless you compare them. If they want to be a good company they need to advertise properly. I also ran into the issue it said 2-5 day delivery I waited over a week and message them and then they tell me oh we are sorry it will be another 2-3 weeks. Which they did end up giving me mirrors for it being so long.

Did you get the 750w version? That’s the one that goes to 28mph, if you get 1000W version, you can go 32mph, however, there are also other factors that can affect the top speed, like terrain, the tire pressure, the wind, uphill/downhill, the weight of the rider all can affect the top speed.
@blackwhirlwind1245

Also, did you set the auto headlight on? If so, it will automatically turn on headlight in dark places or night time, this might be the reason why it automatically turn on headlight in the garage.
Hey also just letting you know don't buy the mirrors on there site it's the same ones temu sells for 4.99 lol identical
