When battling in caves you can build wall torches, only cost 1 stick and one cloth, and you can deconstruct them after if you want. I love lighting up the caves, it also makes it easier to know where you've already been.

This is a must, as far as I am concerned, when going into the golden armor cave. That place is massive, and it's really easy to retrace your steps accidentally.

Me too! and if there is skulls around you can make skull lamps with 1 skull and 1 piece of rope, if remember correctly. I light up all the caves lol.

you can also do those simple fire traps if you need help with the normal and blue mutants. and when you've cleared a section, deconstruct and take with you for the next bit.

I would totally build on that island. With the extremely high difficulty you need at a safe place to eat, rest, and catch your thoughts.

Man I was laughing my ass of during the golfcart chase. He was so fast lol. You absolutely need the island as a safe haven. Maybe build one base there and another closeby so you can escape when things get wild.

25:05 Kelvin can collect arrows. You might want to know that :) 35:25 YES PLEASE you are right on the rabbit head lake(At least I'm calling it.) Please hold on until winter and build a lake house right in front of the waterfall!!! It'll be your safe heaven!!! Put a few fish traps on waterfall and stack a few drier racks almost inside one other in the base and you're set! (at least 3 seasons, until winters) Also view is amaizingggg sun comes up is a view to watch everyday! Also you can make bridges and rope gun slides almost every way to butching up the forest :D PLEAAASEEEE! Also I wouldn't damage the island sometimes fish walks in there you need to see them :D

KELVIN CAN COLLECT YOUR ARROWS!!! Its a lifesaver. Just make a temporary bridge to the island or come back to it with the rope gun. It's perfect. Make a couple drying racks and have Kelvin catch fish. Use the dried meat for emergency since it takes a little more thirst away.

Hey vladd The band TLC once said, “Don’t go chasing waterfalls,” but I disagree when it comes to Sons of the Forest. This Waterfall Base is another of my personal favorite locations. It’s central enough that there aren’t many items you have to hike across the island for, there’s plenty of water, and trees aplenty. Adding to the allure, there are also crates and boxes that will respawn every time you log in, which means you can keep getting supplies like medicine and Solar Panels easily. Ive seen alot of base in the YT but most of them are in waterfalls and its pretty heaven and most safe base waiting for part 3 keep it up vladd ❤🎉

The island is my first campsite. Close to all everything and gives you time to build a wall before winter comes. Most importantly, far enough from the mud butts and canibals that you can sleep. Plus the added bonus of the massive amount of stones nearby for stronger defence wall builds. Also burning the bodies on site while you send Kelvin to collect the arrows and return them too you helps you not run out of arrows :)

You definitely should build on that island! It would make the winters hard when the lake freezes 🥶

It never ceeses to amaze me what you sense in this game... "There he is right there." Damn, I see a forest. I see a cave. Or the times where you said something like "I hear a double arm monster" or "I hear one right behind me". And don't get me started on the blind cave shots ACTUALLY landing. I know that crafting isn't paused this series... But I'd like to see you crafting more to pick up loot. Like, making some mollys to pick up more alcohol- I saw you doing it a little bit in this episode. I'm excited to see where you end up building... I can't offer any suggestions!

Watching Vladd get chased by Henry like the liquid terminator was hilarious. Henry and Igor are the worst cannibals cause their aggression levels are WAY up there and they will chase you non stop if you stay in site. Plus he started a custom game with max aggression and max search parties , max enemy armor, max enemy heath. LOL. I was kinda shocked he set up such a tough game considering he hasn't been playing but hey his last play he complained it was too boring with no action. Well he is getting it this time. That new Max search parties changes the game.

Machete has decent speed and stamina cost. Its my favorite melee weapon. Lighter has better ambient light because the flashlight gets dim as the battery dies. The best spot to build is where the helicopter crashes in the snow biome. Its on the edge of the snow and the forest. Destroy the tents at cannibal camps and it will lower their respawns.

Bro this series is killing it! Keep up the work bro! I’m excited to see what you are going to do to build a base. I think you will have to build it somewhere where there are no enemies. Maybe two bases. One where you can go and chill and be safe, and another one where you can fight the hordes that come after you!!!

So Vlad. I wrote in another one of your videos but the Fingers is the easiest of all mutants to kill. Hotkey spear and axde. Poke it in the legs with the spear, swap to axe and do 2-3 heavy attack. Do that twice and he's dead.

Build on the airfield Landing Strip its a great place to build and there is a small pond below it!

Don't know if the location is good for the resources... but its a very good spot for a canibales torture mouse trap :))) they can access it just by one or two bridges and there you can be creative with the helicopter traps or turtle jumpers or... with hidden bone harvesters :)))) Or you can build along with the mountain, you can build separate floors with different views access by the rope gun... like the old aztecs that lived on the climb surface of the mountain. Building on the island seems like a nice idea but once the lake freezes in winter, there's basically no food or water. You can make a bridge with small foundation blueprints. You can place them in water.

Vladd Love the Content!! For the Finger Monsters that you fought in the rope gun cave...a simple spear poke (or low katana strike once you get it) to the knees does the trick instead of shooting arrows at the knees in the dark 🤣

Like the idea of an island base. Lovely spot, less tomfoolery. That or the beach. The way you bopped those dudes with the golf cart got me laughing like when you blew away granny and pee paw lmao

hi vlad, here is an easy way to kill the finger monsters : you can easely poke their knee with a spear and then rush them with your axe and when he stands up, you do it again and they will usually die after doing it 2 times. if there are multiple, try to shoot one so that it comes after you and you kill them one after the other. this is much better than using all your explosives and not being able to pick up the creepy armor

That island would be dope for a small base. Place to sleep, eat, and prepare, etc. The bridge idea is cool, even if you separated like logs to just jump on them so then cannibals couldn't get through. That island is a good spot to snipe with the rifle to lol. Lookin forward to that stream, bro!

I built on that island and made a bridge with zip lines every direction. Works really good at keeping the enemies away until winter when the water freezes. Otherwise, it's a great location in my opinion.

Dont forget to use the spears on fingers. Jab to the leg and poke poke poke. You can even keep your light on. lol Also the cross scares mutants away after so many attempts. It only burns demons but it will scare ALL mutants.

There's at least one other flashlight somewhere, isn't there? Because I'm pretty sure you can tape the light to the bow, that would help in caves, or like a previous commenter has said, craft wall torches as you go. Would love to see a golf course base, but the island has it's merits too. Maybe a bunker on the island to give you a haven on that side and a main base at the course? Oh, and remember to collect spreas from the spear thrower cantibles, saves a lot of tape

I honestly love this series, when he makes one of stranded deep, the forest and now sons of the forest bring back childhood memories

Watch out on the island you are only safe until it freezes ...also there's a ledge above a small lake just up the hill from entertainment cave with 2 tents on it it's not a bad place to build. Access to water and fish all year from a little stream that never freezes and trees galore. That's my favourite spot there will also be rope, vodka, watches 2 laptops and food in tents every time you load in

If it was me I’d build on that island it’s safe and you could have zip lines leading to, and a bridge if possible. You can use the zip lines to transport the logs to the island. And still build some traps near the bridge for fun. Can’t wait to see what you end up doing!

Already an awesome series. Finally a challenge that seems challenging

As a fellow mid-80's baby, video games have always been present in my life. My grandfather and I used to play Mario Bros., and he recently admitted to me (in his 80s) that he used to sneak in solo time late at night to beat the levels and would show up to work tired AF. Recently, for whatever reason, I've struggled to maintain the same enjoyment I used to have. I guess Ive come to think of being a gamer as part of my identity, and its scary sometimes when I stare at my steam collection and cant find anything to play. The recipes should make quite a difference in hardcore mode. They can give all sorts of buffs. Greg is great for when you want to cut trees down, and is perfect when you don't know what to do with all the spare cannibal limbs and heads lying around!
