This comment also pissed me off as I'm totally disabled from a work injury and though I "look" fine I'm not. However, if just for a second I thought I could work and have my whole life back it wouldn't get a chance to be a thought, I'd be back on the job...yet we have this a**hole scumbag whose first out of prison plan isn't to get a job that he himself said he's CAPABLE of doing NOPE, he said he would get his disability turned BACK on. Did you catch the back on part? He's not only a sexual deviant scumbag, he's also purely lazy too. No wonder why it's so hard for people with real disabilities.

Hell never get out as long as he thinks he can show up and still act like he’s denying charges he already admitted guilt to, so I kind of prefer they don’t warn him. If he maintained his innocence and insisted on a trial he would be found guilty due to the amount of evidence they already had. Either way he would be a registered sex offender, the only difference being the amount of prison time. He went to trial and the girl recanted her story. I merely brought this up to illustrate why someone would admit to something they didn't do, especially if young, poor and uneducated. It's the difference between 5 years and 15. Thank you Mondoo, for your kind words re the victim. The impact of such assaults can be permanent. I was born in 1950. Court cases against pedophiles were actually rare, most likely partially due to the cases being held along with traffic court cases. In 1964 I experienced the humiliation of testifying in front of our neighbors. No privacy or preparation whatsoever. Within 2 days family members from several states away were calling asking for details. (No family lived near us.) I was 14. I am now 73. I have major trust issues. That experience played a huge part in my decision to never marry. New Subscriber.

My story is much like yours but back then no one asked or rarely told. I carried my shame in silence and for many years tried to drink it away. TG I got sober 26 yrs ago and finally got therapy. It doesn't erase it and I'll always have trust issues. My only marriage failed. Today I don't carry the shame I once did but the scars are still deep. Ppl have no idea how hard it is to take back the power we are able to. You're in my heart. The only answer to predators is way tougher sentences. Their victims deserve that.

The way the board asked questions so matter of fact probably shouldn't be seen as them not taking the job or the crime committed seriously. They might well have come into this with no likelihood of granting parole but have to 'go through the motions' with the applicant anyways. The process can look like they are on the offender's team but truly in a situation like this the odds were really against parole being granted. I suspect they had more info in their files about what this guy was found guilty of and asking him about it as they did was a way to find out if he can acknowledge his crimes. He failed even before his victim spoke.
