The trick is to tune the guitar in zone 2, then turn the tuning peg until the note goes sharp and then back it off a half turn. That puts you right on the edge between zone 2 and 3. Plays like a normal guitar but stays in perfect tune/intonation

I love my LTD BW-1, equipped with Evertune Bridge and Fishman Pickups.
Yes!!! More ESP content! Please. Love my Gibbos but ESPs are incredible.
You can also send guitars in and have them install an evertune, although it does cost more than just buying one from evertune already done. I just got my 2018 Gibson Explorer back from them and I love it. I play in a country/rock cover band and was tired of dealing with tuning issues while gigging outside. A band mate has a Gibson Les Paul and PRS custom 24 with evertune and I decided to take the plunge.
Nice break down on that EverTune system. I had heard of them but never really seen one in this much detail before. Much appreciated. Really enjoyed the channel
One thing that I HAVE noticed about the tuning stability of ESP/Ltd. guit's in general, is that they are EXCEPTIONAL "across-the-board"! From my vintage "the Mirage Deluxe" equipped with "Sinclair LFR" to my late-model M-400 equipped with "Special LFR"--along with others I've put my hands on--they are just "rock solid"...WITHOUT the need for "Evertune" technology. Serious "Detuners" out there might see an advantage, though...
I wish ESP was on every headstock no matter the price range! I love that Jackson and Charvel among others are not afraid to put their name on any model in any price range!

The new order of the video is refreshing. I usually skip the sound demo but this got me to listen to it. Especially when you give more of your thoughts during the demo. Some people hate talking during demos but I'm here for your personality, maybe more than the guitars. 🤘
I have a MH-1000 ET and once setup... it hasn't gone out of tune in 9 months now... I have mine set to allow bends though. I have guitars from multiple price points and my LTDs will all hold their own with my very expensive guitar, truly some of the best guitars made at their price point.
We need a Trogly's Guitar Rig video just to see what you are running your guitar through. Have a good day.
Not sure if it's just me or not, but you video has a blackout at 7:36 for a few moments. Anyone else notice?
What's really great is that you can actually adjust and fine tune how persistent the system will be. Go for maximum and you won't be able to bend a note. Alternatively, you can leave it just on the edge that it'll resist just a bit but then you can overcome the system and still bend a note. Up to you and whatever you want to play/record.
Great ESP demo, Austin!...As an extra attaboy, I love how you list your info vid, chapters, gear used and all you contact info. Hard work pays off!
Really fantastic for playing live. If you break a string put the new one on and magic, it’s in tune. The Evertune system is really terrific. No waiting around for it to get back in tune, it’s already there.

I have the Viper-based Reba Meyers signature and I ended up fitting a strap button onto the horn tip. Not the easiest thing to do as there's so little space between the horn and neck but it definitely helps the balance.
just got my charcoal satin in yesterday and i LOVE it!
That Sweetwater plug was great!!!! The whole intro was very entertaining, great videos and knowledge buddy!
The Vipers are fantastic guitars. I would really describe it as a Les Paul (for heft) and a Jazzmaster (offset body) had a baby with a Tele layout. I would also say that the feel of the guitar is shifted to the left similar to a Gibson Firebird. The SG is a red herring, Vipers are hefty with loads of sustain and SGs (love them too) are far lighter weight wise and also you have more control over the individual pickups. The only SG tie in is a the Devil horns, honestly if you want a SG alternative, go for a Guild Polara. I have a 2006 Viper 400 which is a NAMM prototype. It came with Seymour Duncan Custom 5 (bridge) and a Jazz (neck) as well as an Earvana nut. The tuners are Grover mini tuners. All the hardware ia black. I ended up putting a black Bigsby vibrato on it and I added two push/pull pots for coil split and in and out of phase. Both knobs pulled, this guitar has a very gritty Garage Rock tone. I also upgraded the bridge to a roller model. For a few years I was on a buying kick of "what is a Tele but not a Tele," meaning the electronics are as basic as a traditional Tele. If you can't tell, I am a Tele guy. This is a fantastic guitar, its a modern player so other than a simplified electronics system, these are not traditional guitars. If you find a Viper you like, pick it up. Keep in mind it really is it's own thing, trying to compare it to a SG is really a fool's errand.

@@Ottophil Yeah, the Viper is a different beast. The only thing that LOOKS like an SG are the horns. Since mine is a 2006 it does not have the nice neck blend into the back, it is just a regular stepped joint like any other guitar from that time. I relocated my strap button to the back where you would find it on an SG. So now the guitar wants to fall forward from me! 😆 My Viper is really awesome but it is not my main guitar. It does exactly what I want it to do in looking great and sounding awesome! If it were my only guitar, I might not be as happy with it. It weighs more than my bass guitar. But I bought it because I could hear it call to me and I got it exactly as I want it. It took awhile but it was worth it.

@@SecretIdolBand Buddy, the only thing SG about the Viper are the horns. Pick one of these up at a guitar store and within two seconds of holding it by the neck you will know this is not an SG. The horns are like an SG, the body is more like a Jazzmaster, the heft is a 70s Les Paul, and it plays shifted left like a Firebird. Trust me, the Viper is it's own thing. I have the purple sunburst Viper-1000 and I can say that it is absolutely amazing. It looks beautiful and sounds awesome. Since it lacks the Evertune,it does come with locking tuners. The Seymour Duncans sound great but unfortunately on mine, the pickup bobbins are reversed so the logo is upside down technically speaking. Considering how much time I've put into it since buying it last year,it is safe to say that I can easily overlook that. I got mine for Drop D but it can handle almost any tuning you put it through. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a good SG style guitar that doesn't cost too much,is good for hard rock and metal rhythm and even lead playing then go for this thing. The bridge is a Khaler (?) system made in Germany with a locking nut. No need to cut string ball ends ... and there's no locking saddles !!!!. It's like a Floyd Rose for kids, I would say. I hope to see a review about one of these CONTEMPORARY SERIES in your channel explaining all 3 different systems that Fender Japan introduced in the 80's. Tip for LTDs. They're made in Korea, Indonesia, China, and Vietnam. If possible, go for the Korea/Indonesia made ones. Those are the ones with the best quality, fit and finish. China/Vietnam ones are still ok, but QC is more hit or miss. 👍 P.S. LTD hold their value fairly well. Now, more than ever.

Honestly the coolest part is the ease of tuning, being all allen key adjustment makes it really simple to understand.
There are Gibson SG's with 24 frets. A Gibson will not detune if you wynd at the posts using the Gibson Mandolin String Post method, pre-stretch properly, grease/lubricate the nut slots, make certain the tuners are not loose, have the correct width string slots and depth for your string gauge and no burrs and correct saddle slots at the tail end. Four fret bends will not be an issue.

KILLER GUITAR. I love it, wonder if it's better than a standard SG for metal? Thx Take Care
a question was answered today that i have been wondering about..... when will Trogly review an Evertune? Well done sir!
As far as neck dive I have a few guitars that do that, so I added a bit of silicone caulk to the under side of my straps an that usually does the trick makes the strap grip my chothing. I love the evertune I have one on my LTD EC 1000. But my holy Grail is the Olympic white Viper 1000 with gold hardware, (no longer available) Every time I see one I am a Day late and a dollar short. There is one on reverb right now owned by Brue Kulik formally with Kiss I am not a Kiss fan and I don't like signed guitars. Other than that I would buy it. It came with different Semore Duncan pickup to.
My Evertune equipped strat always amazes me at how it is always in tune. It is one of the best playing and sounding guitars I have ever owned

Trogley was saying that if you do string bends, the Evertune pretty much cancels them out ???

@@jameslanclos568 No, It depends on how you set it up. Turn the machine heads , like normal, until the strings start to go sharp, turn back a fraction to the correct tuning and you can bend like a normal guitar, turn the machine heads back a bit more and you won't be able to bend pitch....

@@jameslanclos568 Ha. Because he didn't set it up for bends. You can easily tune it two ways. One way there is no bending or vibroto which is super weird but every fretted note is perfectly in tune. It's good for chords or metal I guess. The second way will allow you to bend/ vibrato, and play like any other guitar. Either way the guitar stays in tune longer than anything else out there. If your guitar is in a hot or cold RV or something I guess it will go out of tune and maybe you have to tune the high e but I've had mine inside in the house with AC, played it everyday and its stayed intune for 2 weeks at a time more than once! It is really incredable to pick up a guitar and it is always in tune. It's freakin' mana from heaven. With all this praise I really need so see if I can get paid as a rep

@@jameslanclos568 Throw out ya guitar then haha
I like esp and gibson, would love to see you document an E-II from esp, they sit at around a 2500 pricepoint so comparible to some good Gibsons and i love mine, though the 1000 series is king price to performance, especially when they were 1000 dollars and used with evertune 700
I love this. People sleep on ESP/LTD they make great stuff. Would love to play with one of these.
My 1985 washburn bantam guitar never goes out of tune due to the kind of tuners it has.
I’m loving the Fender Friday episodes!!
That intro was hilarious!
That tuned down intro song 😅
I have 2 Viper 400s. Great guitars!
Wow the pickups on that guitar sound good. Great guitar. Especially for the money.
Fav demo.
I could definitely see it be useful if you play a lot of gigs outside too. It's a pain trying to stay in tune then.
Pretty cool guitar. Too bad about the crazy hot pickups, but replacing them with a Duncan JB/59 set isn't going to break the bank. You mentioned that the veneer quilted maple was impressive because it went edge to edge, but it seems like that's a solved problem. PRS's Indonesia factory tour shows really clearly how they get the veneer on there flat - it's just way bigger than the body and held down by a complete layer of glue, then it gets cut to match after it's installed.
i’m not sure if the viper has it but i know the esp ltd eclipse has a ‘set thru’ neck construction with a suuuuper deep neck joint. one day ill have a 1000 series they’re awesome!
I will trade Fender Friday for a LTD exception
LTD are good stuff. I used to have EC-401qm, a solid guitar.
