16:26 You guys get it. You see why people genuinely fall in love with this place. There is a magic to Lebanon that is very hard to replicate.
I also highly recommend exploring Lebanon's mountains and villages (like Ehden). The landscapes are stunning, and the experience of hiking or simply enjoying the picturesque views is truly unforgettable. I suggest going with a local from Lebanon who can introduce you to the typical and delicious food that the region has to offer. 😍😍
The Lebanese mountains are beautiful, especially the hiking through Qadisha Valley, it’s an amazing experience and I will come back to Lebanon to go to see the majestic Ceadrs of Lebanon ❤

Great to have two people I trust confirming my view on Lebanon. Cannot wait to go there!
Hi Julia and Matt, so happy that’s you enjoyed your Lebanese meal, and I dont blame you one bit ! It’s one of my favorite cuisine in the Mediterranean area. I always have sumac (my personal favorite) and zatar in my spice cabinet and also some pomegranate molasses in the larder. I am so envious of all the goodies that you have on your table. Here in the States it is now easy to find all the ingredients necessary to make some Lebanese or Turkish cooking, without going to a special ethnic shop, but going to the specialist middle Eastern shop is really easy and you got everything under one roof. I hope that you enjoy yourselves as Lebanon is an amazing place. Looking forward to further videos! Best wishes and A bientôt JosAz

I am breathless at the splendor of this table. It makes me want to take my fork, knife and spoon and plunge them straight into the screen - I cannot thank you both enough for pausing to take turns to share this splendor with us and I hope you felt just great finishing this meal. The last time I had Lebanese food was in Toronto in October 2019 and you have brought it all back to me in triple-strength. There is a little Syrian restaurant in Tucson that gets about as close as they can but no one does mezze like the Middle East and I am longing to return, and return hungry. Bless you for what you offer to us 😘
The Bible speaks often of olive oil. It is definitely a gift from God.

Wow! Guys! Everything looks wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing so much of this wonderful food with us! It looked like at one point you were upset. I hope nothing bad happened. I love you two so much. I've watched so many of your videos, I feel I know you personally. I know that sounds crazy, but I know that happens on KZread. It looked like you did finally enjoy the wonderful meal, though, which made me very happy. Just from watching, I think the salad, the rolls and the humus would be my favorite. ❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹
This is one of the BEST food videos I've ever seen! WOW !!! Keep showing us this delicious content, Matt & Julia!
Glad to see you folks back and posting again! Absolutely love the food videos and how you try to really describe the food well, as if we were there with you. Safe travels!
I loooove Lebanese cuisine. I think it's one of the most underrated. I go sometimes to a Lebanese restaurant here and like to order their "Lebanese mezze" which looks very much like what you had. I particularly love the Lebne, which I find similar to Indian Raita. And Julia, you are right, olive oil is life and the very main component behind mediterranean cuisine which rather recently made it popular as a "healthy cuisine"

Describing the food was the first time I have noticed Julia's slight estuary English twang. A great video, very interesting place and food. I could almost taste some of the dishes. Two real foodies.
That table of food looks so DELICIOUS!!!
Love to Lebanon from Syria! You should go to Syria next.
This was just cruel. The presentation was gorgeous, your descriptions were mouth watering, the video was exquisite, and I am sitting here in Minnesota eating McDonald's. Oh, my!
Thank you for this nice video of Lebanon
You guys really know how to describe different foods. Feel like I can taste what you are eating. Seems like it is healthy too.
A funny story for you two. I am English like Matt and I used to work together with a lady from Glasgow, Scotland. We worked together in Stockholm in an international secretariat working with people from places all over the world. On occasions we would travel to exotic places with our international colleagues for meetings and at meal times in exotic restaurants her and I would seek eye contact with each other over a crowded dining area that had just been served it's 'foreign meal' and mouth to one another "where's me chips!?". That meal you have there looks amazing. I am totally envious of you both. It's probably better without chips, but I'm making myself feel less envious by asking as I watch "yes, but where are the chips?" LOL
Nice video, hope you guys come back to Lebanon for more adventures in the future, try reaching out to the mountains, there is a lot of hidden gems and nice villages waiting to be discovered., with cuisines and amazing local fresh ingredients and tastes.

Some people like to argue about this from a political standpoint. But ancestrally, we come from the Canaanites and Caucasian populations. (The Phoenicians, broadly speaking). This is something we also knew, but every genetic study confirms this now. And We're proud of it. This is how the majority of us feel, we're proud of our history.
I don't think I've had Lebanese food despite living in the Mediterranean for several years in the sixties. I use to love going out to different restaurants when I was younger but living north of Brisbane in Australia and with very limited options, I've sort of got out of the habit now. Looks fantastic. Always love your channel.

It's not fair to say this is Lebanese cuisine because this is not only Lebanese cuisine , this is levantine or middle east cuisine many of these dishes belong to Syria or Türkiye or to another middle eastern countries .thanks for your video.
@28Justchecking
Жыл бұрын
Well it's fair Because the Lebanese way is different Italy , Greece Turkey the Levant Balkan Amrenian we have similar food But each add their own tweaks that makes it different Already Fatooush and Tabouleh are Lebanese even in the culinary school in Syria they teach u it's Lebanese Lebaneh also started in Lebanon with Labneh balls Now if we talk mohamara All levent and turkey they do it it's not the same way So when I want a shawarma a Lebanese don't bring me a Turkish shawarma or I will shove it in your mouth deep. It's not the same So pple stop being stop and accept the fact that each has their own tweak. U know that grapes leave in Lebanon we have literally 20 ways to do the meat one without counting the veg. So yeah Lebanese elevated the food same as Syrians . U can't compare our food to the rest of mediteranean food
Thanks
SUMAC ( السماق) in za'atar!
