Maybe it was a weird tech with tera blast for the miraidon matchup. They could still be cooking. It could also be just for the lack of weaknesses as well. You never know.

@@CaptainSherbertTheQuestionable Tera Grass is usually better tho. More weaknesses is worth the better MU into Rillaboom, Amoongus, and Urshifu.

@@Endershock1678 personally I'd prefer fire so you do better in the koraidon sun matchup. Amoonguss could be checked by super effective damage and taunt. Maybe it is an overcorrection but I was punished for tera grass in LA I shy away from it now cause every self respecting player has something to go into it with.

Clefairy is SO strong, access to After You makes it a threat both defensively and offensively in trick room

Howdy Moxie! There's a slight discrepancy between the rental team and the Pokepaste that might be worth pointing out in the description or something: The in-game Zama is running Body Press but the Paste says Body Slam. Body Press is the better choice, of course, but wanted to mention it just in case!

That last match gave me whiplash from how many twists there were

Just out of curiosity how good was sub zama in bad matchups? I ran zama in LA and was curb stomped in a mirror where my opponent had that instead of protect. I struggled with koraidon matchups too so I know it works in the mirror but does it work agains koraidon and groudon?

@@CaptainSherbertTheQuestionable I ran ghost Tera Zama. Sword of Ruin body press does a lot of damage. Honestly, I think Sub is super viable but not better than iron defense where it can hold its own, or wide guard. Sun is indeed a difficult mu, especially against Walking Wake and Chiyu. I went from Pelipper to Torn, from Bolt to Umbreon. I’m still working on it, but Sub Zama is definitely optimal. I think having your own walking wake for sun is a good idea. AV Wake in particular. To answer your question with even one coaching it can be really good. Ghost Tera pushes back groudon and koraidon especially if you out the sun. I’m still working on it so I’ll update you when I find something more comfortable let’s say.

@@giancarloandretorresguzman7717 thats cool. I was running zama, rilla, pelipper, waterpon, bolt, and grimm. The clefairy on that team feels like a better idea than screens grimm cause I get the damage reduction without needing to setup. I picked bird, rilla, and waterpon cause they feed eachother which felt good and raging bolt was for a spa damaging mon which has been a strong game closer. That team got mr 5-4 in LA this past weekend but making everything non grass tera grass as an overprep for amoonguss definitely messed me up on the koraidon matchup cause all I could do is iron defensr and protect pelipper to keep sun down. For sake of comfort though I am considering sinistcha over rilla, and after the video clefairy over grimm which will give me triple redirect, hospitality recovery for zama, and possibly a trick room mode as well. Probably eject button on the sinistcha for a defensive switch into a safe switch.

@@giancarloandretorresguzman7717isnt body press become weaker after SOR? Like if both your zama’s and opponent’s defense drop 25%, wouldnt it just still deal the same amount of damage( sorry if my english is bad)

I brought a team almost exactly like this to LA this last weekend. I used grimmsnarl and raging bolt instead of incineroar and clefairy. I actually like clefairy a lot more. Grimmsnarl with dual screens became a crutch that was punished which lost me games. The other one was everything that wasn't grass was tera grass as an overcompensation for amoongus which was also punished. I went 5-4 though which was my goal so I can't be too upset but I am still on this hang up stage where I am anylising what I could've done better. This was helpful in that.

Clefairy is bulkier due the ability friend guard + eviolite item, whilst clefable loses this ability when it evolves for Unaware (which makes it a monster in singles, but not as useful in doubles)
