Sorry if I disagree. I live in the mountains of North Carolina, and I have a cf moto 1000 touring, and I can't really say that I dislike anything about this machine. I have used all modes and functions. I really like all of the funtions. Great power and options. One big thing I don't like is living in rock coverd mountain terrain I would like a steel skid plate. But other then that a great machine so far..

We have a really good video coming that gos over the DAC system and how it acts and how it shouldn’t act. It put us in a ditch today didn’t click off with the brake. There are definitely bugs that need to be worked out with it before it will be perfect. It needs more testing on a manufacturer level before it gets put to the public. Now I’m sure this is something they can update using the app or something idk or a dealer scan tool.

Great info!! I'm on my way to pick up my 2024 800 touring in a couple minutes and can't wait!! Thanks for sharing that possible life saving tip! I too don't like first year anything, but, someone has to be the guinea pig, might as well be me. I couldn't pass up all the features on this machine, and needed a new one. Here goes nothin.......lol👍👍

@@R.N.GPerformance OMG I love this thing!! Wanted to update the group, my model does not stay rolling in Downhill Assist mode when in low. Thankfully. Hey, one other thing R.N.G.: Does the center light bar, both front and back, work on yours, when the lights are on? Mine do not.🤔

I'm looking at buying an ATV primarily for plowing my driveway in the winter (in MI). The driveway is about 230 feet long. It makes a U shape and goes down and back up a steep hill. This issue is concerning. I'll likely look at another brand. Thanks for posting this.

I hate all downhill assist I have a 2021 600 I ride on the lake and lots of ice. While if you have to let off the throttle fast it makes your back wheels skid and spin you out. It has almost caused me to crash a couple times on the road It has caused me to do an absolute 360 on the middle of the road.I live in northern Ontario Canada and we ride on lots of ice in the winter I did fix this issue by getting rid of the one way bearing But if this has happened to me it's obviously happened to other people. I just got lucky before I fixed the issue.

@@R.N.GPerformance I like the vtwin big bore engines that cf Moto runs with but instead of following Can Am or Polaris ideas for off road I personally think they should follow the Japanese standard . A little more basic with less opportunity for a failure 100 miles in the middle of nowhere. I wish they would set their machines up more like Kawasaki with its VTwin engine and because they offer a 1000 they would a be a step above them. Cf Motos customer base would take reliability over all this computerized stuff that can have major malfunctions. I will give them credit though that new clutch is extremely responsive and the added Horsepower make them one of the fastest on the market. Both the 800 and 1000 haul ass. From the low end all the way through the top end

I’m thinking with this thing doing its own thing it is the driver. And the trails we ride there is no room for error. A system like this will put you 6 foot under in the blink of an eye on some of the trails we ride.

You didnt show us if it still tries to drive itself when the brake is applied. If im coming to a stop my hands are already on the brakes so the machine doesnt move even from gravity. I hope people are using thier brakes on trails with cliffs and not just trusting thier machine to stop on its own before it rolls off the edge.

I agree with RNG its an issue.. I rode one i was on flat pavement went to low and when i went to stop it just kept pulling even with the brake applied. I wasnt going down hill where i needed an engine break.. If someone accidently turns this on and tries stopping on the edge of a hill theyre gone.. Imagine going downhill and your tire gets twisted in a rut and this thing just powers you right into trouble.
