One morning, I dug a nice row of potatoes. The next day, they started rotting, from being cooked/burned/blistered, from the sun! Soooo sad😢 But yes, they do need time to dry, before storing. And yes, not too long, or they start turning green. Live and learn.

Hi Mr. Rhodes. I'd like to talk to you about your glass cut on your arm. I was an avid blood donor. The nurses there told me of a product called Bacitracin to apply to the wound to prevent infection. Once the wound is cleaned, apply the Bacitracin and cover with a bandage. Leave the wound covered for 3 to 5 days and you'd be shocked how well it works. I used to use Neosporin but the results don't compare to Bacitracin. God bless you guys.

On cuts that could pull apart, I use any fresh aloe gel from the garden(it is sterile there inside the leaf) a few drops, with a drop of honey and a drop of olive oil. Now you'll be surprised. The antimicrobial and astringent qualities disinfect, pull the cut together for minimal scarring, and it promotes cell growth.

@farmchick1464 But then what would they film? Just opening and closing a gate? Far too simple, especially when the portable fencing company may be a sponsor. It is interesting, though, to see them struggle weekly with one animal or the other when the fix you suggest would solve the whole issue permanently. They've definitely thought of it because it's been mentioned here many times before. And they have given it a definite NO.

Rotational grazing can work with permanent fencing. I do it. I have gates between fields. No animals get out, no running to and fro going crazy chasing animals. But then there would be not drama and frustration. The definition of stupid comes to mind, doing the same thing over and over and getting the same result. If you have the equipment to punch in posts make a secure fence and get rid of the chaos.

Then take that end and rub the cut end of the cuke with it. White stuff will begin to come out. Do this for a few min and u have an very good over sized cuke. I have endometrioses and pcos , I’ve lost so much blood that I had to have several revisions every year. And cysts removed regularely. I have several autoimmune diseases that causes my skin to blister and bleed when move or do simple things. I have hashimodos and I had to get iron infusions at least every three month. B 12 shots every 6 week. Chronic pain syndrome , nerve damage after a botched surgery and several more ailments . Those autoimmune diseases are so bad that I had to be put in chemo .. Staying in bed, was never a possibility though . I would never have put that responsibility on my kids. It was was bad enough to handle the mental and emotional agony of having a sick parent ..

Where's CPS at forcing kids to cook and clean for a lazy mother who just sits on the couch and a father forcing them to work in terrible weather conditions. Yet people find it cute that is happening.

When I was a lot younger I worked for my uncle’s trash disposal company and one day I picked up a garbage bag and threw it in the truck and it had broken glass in it and it cut a nice slice into my arm and I still have the scar so don’t put broken glass in the plastic bag

Why don't you close the door on the high tunnel. That's why it has doors. And when you need to go in you can open the door. What a concrpt

The bees were bearding. That’s when they droop outside the entrance due to high heat.

Had a lot of medical ppl in my family; soap and water for the win every day on a fresh wound to prevent infection. Sometimes orange mercurochrome for that extra antiseptic sting. That’s how you know it’s working . 😂

❤ those boys for wanting to accomplish things and not waisting time due to the heat. I feel you could increase moral by getting some walkie talkies. The yelling is too much.and you could communicate what you want them to do much better. I know your busy but you want the boys help because they enjoy and love the farm. Please add a bit of love into your kids by treating them as employees, having meetings and discussing chores for next day with instructions. Also plans of attach for if animalls get out and ideas of how to improve each time. The respect you show them will encourage a closer bond. You may fluff off what im suggesting but i hope not.😊❤❤

😂 what happened to your walkie-talkie system for communication instead of yelling and screaming. My Lord I've been listening for 5 seconds and I've already got a stress headache. I like peace and quiet working on my homestead listening to the birds chirp. No human kids ...the only kids I have are my animals And they are quiet.😊
