This is just my take, it just takes time for kids and teens to grow and adapt, your doing fine but always remember to be reasonable yet stern. Growth and foundation are key to long peaceful life.

Have some medical quality superglue around for when I cut myself like that. Works wonders for sealing up clean cuts (or small ones after you clean them). Superglue was actually invented on accident during WWII and has been used since to seal wounds (I always fix broken kids toys with it WAY too much).

Yep, my boy is 15 now and he is starting to size me up, you know when they look down and they start at your feet and look all the way up to eye level and he relize he is 2" taller than you and he just take 2 seconds to long to respond to what you asked him to do, and at that very momernt you relize for the first time he is growing up very fast now. And when you bend over to give him a hug like a year ago but this time he rebounds and do the fist pump and wispers "Yikes man, what is wrong with you?" that you know he has become a stranger living under your roof. But never fear, I still hold the Wallet, I can't wait when he wants a car and he askes me, "Dad? How about it, I need $8000 for a car" that I go on the attack. "Yes son, No problem, It will only cost you a one hug!" that suddenly he turns into your little boy again! LOL!

I've often thought about that as I've watched this channel over the years. As far as I know, the children were never asked if they wanted their daily lives to be broadcast to the world. They were never asked if they wanted a camera always hovering a few feet away while they went through the ups and downs of their lives. To me, my life is my own, and it's not to be made a consumable product for the rest of the world to view and judge. Maybe his children don't mind now because they don't know any better, but that viewpoint might change as they grow up.

@@L1623VP This, yes. I've watched this channel from the beginning where they seemed to be college-age folks set to create a community of like-minded folks. (And all could financially benefit from tech.) And then Art and Bre showed up after Justin's prodding and I fully fell in love with them too. Sadly for them this online community fell in love with them and probably provided too much loving pressure to the point that when it all became too much pressure, it created awful cracks in their marriage and family. I've kept them in my prayers ever since and pray that they find their way through this social media jungle to keep their own family intact without damage from all of us out here.

You have two young men and a young lady that are making a mark. They do not need to be micro-managed, they know what to do (the majority of the time). Fan shape is leaf rake. Hard rake is a fire rack. Fire fighters use them when controlling fire lines, etc.

Couldn’t you use the goats and sheep to clean up the garden area, put few fences around the land and let them go at it. Plus adding more fertilizer. . Work smarter not harder, just a good idea for next time. I started watching as you stopped camp /driving. Feel in love with your family as a whole. Best family Chanel and start your homestead. Try out my idea you will love it. Trust a long time follower.

Justin everybody can see it's natural for kids to pick the easy jobs they like. You are seeming to pretend it's the best division of labor as your stuck with the bad jobs. Coolest part of the day everybody needs to do the hard jobs nobody wants to do. As the day heats up everyone do the easier jobs they like.

The young men are still needing to learn respect and manners to their father. Teenagers get too big for their boots 🥾, they think they know it all. Us older adults remember the mistakes we made and we certainly learned the hard way. They’re (boys), choosing the easiest jobs, jobs they like doing.
