So sweet to watch Gideon grow up. He's turning into quit the young man.
Been watching your videos since the beginning. Now, I think I enjoy watching the kids as much or maybe more than the actual farming. They are all growing up FAST.....even Henry! My gosh, the boy was just born the other day!!!!! :)
All your kids are just amazingly helpful..even when they don’t want to lol…but Lily for her age is absolute Gold!…love and blessings to you guys❤

I love your patience with family as you strengthen each other GOD Bless you and yours always ☺️
That "soft" rake my dad told me when I was a kid in the 60's is called a leaf rake... the hard rake was called a yard rake... he used to take that hard rake and rake the dicken's out of weeds in the grass..
“Just leave us alone.” Kids not in the mood for meddling. 😂
It was good to see Randolph back on the homestead. He has been missed; glad his knee is doing good enough for him to get around. It was also good to see Rebekah up and about although she didn't look very strong.

Technically, the hard iron rake is called a rock or landscape rake and the flexible fan shaped rake is called a leaf rake (as it will take leaves that top grass or stone).

Maybe using walkie talkies to check in with the kids if everything's OK would make then feel less roared at? You roar they're naturally going to roar back. Instead of yelling a simple hey can do you need a hand? Through the walkie talkie would have created a better attitude from your young rapidly growing teen.

They had walkies but I think they ended up in storage during the chaos
I feel like as young adult till i was weee lad I stuck around my older brothers more because at the time it was hard to comprehend things and learn things. This is just my take, it just takes time for kids and teens to grow and adapt, your doing fine but always remember to be reasonable yet stern. Growth and foundation are key to long peaceful life.
Have some medical quality superglue around for when I cut myself like that. Works wonders for sealing up clean cuts (or small ones after you clean them). Superglue was actually invented on accident during WWII and has been used since to seal wounds (I always fix broken kids toys with it WAY too much).
Just because 2 people doesn't make work twice as fast and 3 people dont make it 3 times as fast, it does generally make it significantly faster AND easier than doing it alone.
I love the community soccer game!! I’m glad you always make time to play with the kiddos - you have a beautiful family. ❤
Yep, my boy is 15 now and he is starting to size me up, you know when they look down and they start at your feet and look all the way up to eye level and he relize he is 2" taller than you and he just take 2 seconds to long to respond to what you asked him to do, and at that very momernt you relize for the first time he is growing up very fast now. And when you bend over to give him a hug like a year ago but this time he rebounds and do the fist pump and wispers "Yikes man, what is wrong with you?" that you know he has become a stranger living under your roof. But never fear, I still hold the Wallet, I can't wait when he wants a car and he askes me, "Dad? How about it, I need $8000 for a car" that I go on the attack. "Yes son, No problem, It will only cost you a one hug!" that suddenly he turns into your little boy again! LOL!
Love this family! They are hard workers and have fun later!
All the cows out, who would want to be interrupted? They are growing up.
What do the kids want to do when they grow up? All homesteaders or is there a teacher, doctor or software engineer among them?

I've often thought about that as I've watched this channel over the years. As far as I know, the children were never asked if they wanted their daily lives to be broadcast to the world. They were never asked if they wanted a camera always hovering a few feet away while they went through the ups and downs of their lives. To me, my life is my own, and it's not to be made a consumable product for the rest of the world to view and judge. Maybe his children don't mind now because they don't know any better, but that viewpoint might change as they grow up.

@@L1623VP This, yes. I've watched this channel from the beginning where they seemed to be college-age folks set to create a community of like-minded folks. (And all could financially benefit from tech.) And then Art and Bre showed up after Justin's prodding and I fully fell in love with them too. Sadly for them this online community fell in love with them and probably provided too much loving pressure to the point that when it all became too much pressure, it created awful cracks in their marriage and family. I've kept them in my prayers ever since and pray that they find their way through this social media jungle to keep their own family intact without damage from all of us out here.
