This camera bag is pretty epic || iFootage Beava Bags Review

Ғылым және технология

New camera bags from iFootage that are perfect for every creator? Yep. I tested out all four new camera bags locally and on a trip to Iceland. They stood the test of water, sand, wind, and rain. I think these bags meet many needs for photographers and videographers of varying types. Which bag do you think you'll try?

    @@FellowFilmmaker I used to have a lot of fears but really have very few now. I learned to face things and look at my fears as challenges, and I never back down from a challenge so it made it easy to embrace my fears and defeat them. Life is difficult and full of obstacles. It is easy to shy away from them but I've learned to embrace them and use them as motivation. Once you get through the first few the rest becomes easier. I almost said easy but almost nothing in life that matters is ever easy

    I like that you said it gets easier, because you're right it's never just easy. Practice gives you experience which is helpful to fight the voices that say you can't do something. Perfection is hardly the goal. :D

    Such a badass story! So awesome you challenged yourself, and then to have iFootage accept your offer and sponsor your excursion. So freaking awesome! And don't sweat or feel bad about the anxiety thing. I shoot Real Estate for that exact reason. If you're out and about with a camera it just grabs people's attention, and as an introvert it makes me anxious and uncomfortable. But give me a vacant property and I'm in heaven, lol. Even on family trips when everyone's expecting you to have your camera for great memories I get anxious. Anyway, congrats on the sweet gig and look forward to your shorts and conclusion.

    I can relate (because I personally know that fears about confrontations and gear being taken are founded); however, when I am passionate enough about the story I am covering/telling, it is enough to get me out of the house to do what needs to be done. I found your channel a few days ago, and I've been binge watching your how-to videos. Your use of b-roll and post-production effort is definitely several notches above others in the genre. Also, making it work in a modest sized studio is useful because that's the situation I think most of us content creators are in. Hope you have a great time on your trip. Thank you for your videos.

    Thanks for the detailed review. It's so annoying that every product marketed to a certain market segment costs 3 times more - "orthopedic shoes", "backpack for a motorcycle", "inner bag for a surfboard" etc. As someone who walks outdoor with a gimbal, camera body, lenses, batteries and chargers, I prefer a rigid insert or divider to put inside a hiking /carry bag. as someone who hikes 300 miles ~ a year, 8 pounds bag is ridiculously heavy. it's more than the camera and lenses...but I was impressed with your great idea to go to Iceland :)

    What a wonderfully thorough review of these bags. The footage of you with them is also just awesome. I am so looking forward to the long video of your excursion. Looks very exciting and intriguing. What a great place to capture footage. That roll-a-round bag and the shoulder bag are looking very handy for my type of work. I have a fair amount of backpacking experience, so a question I have about the 50L and 35L backpacks is does either, or both, have an "internal frame" that assures all the weight is attached to your hips, and the shoulder straps basically just keep the pack upright rather than setting weight on your shoulders? Getting the weight on your hips and legs, instead of your back, is the secret to comfortable and endurance backpacking. I hope I am not over-stepping my bounds in regards to your social anxiety, but if any part of that is based on how you feel people will perceive you, you have such a warm, approachable, and engaging personality that people will instantly be comfortable around you and confident that you are a friendly person with whom they can converse. This personality is also worn on your face, so most people can recognize this instantly.

  • @FellowFilmmaker

    @FellowFilmmaker

    Glad you enjoyed the review! :D And to answer your question: the 50L has a steel frame (that curved part) so it def helps with distribution. The smaller bag does not have this so it's a bit more work on the shoulders and back. I did love how the 50L fit and kept the weight in my legs and hips. And thank you for the kind remarks! The social anxiety stems from overthinking scenarios and assuming negative situations will arise, not so much on my personality. I rather like my personality :D Glad it's well accepted here as well! Hope you'll enjoy all the exciting content coming out

    @@FellowFilmmaker - Ah, well that's good for the 50L having the built-in frame. That's a life saver. Perhaps they weren't thinking people would be able to fit enough in the smaller one to make it heavy enough to warrant a frame? Who knows. Thank you for the enlightenment on your situation. I know I don't know, so it's nice to get some insight. It's awesome to see you working on it!!

    Having your gear insured will help with the anxiety. It did for me. But I still worry when there are a lot of people around my gear. I always worry if I walk more than 3 feet from it, someone will grab it and run. So I feel ya on that front.
