Amazing level, so beautifully brutal. A lot of the hidden messages aren’t actually the creator names, they’re insulting a particular Japanese KZreadr. So they’re roughly the equivalent of “Larl” or “Geek …”.

I just adore the tiny detail of the big ninja appearing to hit the boot down the pit at 50:50

Pretty sure those level makers include the HOLD LEFT AT NOW guy... This is gonna be goooood.

This was done by the same guy that discovered CFCs and the hole in the ozone. He was also the guy that created the Gaia theory ... with Carl Sagan's wife. Around that time, he shared an office with Carl Sagan while working on the Viking Mars missions.

@@leif_p Both Spencer and Lovelock invented the microwave oven separately (and they were both engineers in WW2). Spencer filed for a patent (and was a few years earlier) though which is generally why he is credited for it. Realistically the idea isn't that complicated once microwave beams had been discovered. Just slap a faraday cage around the target and that's about it. I just thought Carl would appreciate the connection to Carl Sagan.

It's the year 2026. Mario Maker 3 is out. It allows disabling the time counter on stages. Most of the troll levels are just 99% of the most disgusting antis you can imagine.

I always love the super simple antis softlock, like that one is legit just a slope* and a one way with Beeeg mario

When that mushroom appeared in the anti, it became an absolute stroke of *genius.*

This may just be the single most broken MM2 troll level that I've ever seen.

Pretty interesting that how the actual Carl Sagan was the inspiration for "carl" to go for science education. I wanted to learn science from pure curiosity and ended up on biochem because it was advertised in my school. Because of carl's plant vaccine studies I wanted to learn more about photosynthesis and found cyanobacteria as my main focus of my master's thesis. I love them green little things.

I think what is genius about the flower room, you'll be so excited when you're actually able to die.

The things Carl puts himself through because he loves us. This does definitely remind me of the troll levels at the end of the MM1 cycle with overlaid pipes, x=9, vines behind doors, infinite checkpoints, etc. I remember thinking they would be awful to watch live because they must take hours to actually beat.

We appreciate all the effort you put in! And Twitch chat. I can't watch raw footage becaus of the times its a 3 hour level, but it feels so good when you finally get the win, SO it is good at that moment.

35:05 Bio teacher here wanting to chime in my opinion on this question! There’s a fungus out there currently that acts quite similar to TLOU imo, but luckily for us it only affects certain ants. Had to look up how to spell this but it’s called Ophiocordyceps and how it takes over the ant nervous system with such specific instructions is still being researched!
