Was wondering if you could explain why every "vocal coach" refuses to react to HYNN's Killing Voice? Is it because she isn't trendy/well-known enough and might not generate enough views for an investment in time for a reaction? I just don't understand why HYNN is being ignored by "vocal coaches" that are supposedly passionate about discovering, analyzing, and admiring generation vocal talent. Granted, I understand the hustle of catering to the "fans" of certain K-pop groups because it's more profitable, but at the same time, shouldn't genuine "vocal coaches" also use their platform to discover, appreciate, and introduce generational vocal talent to their audience? I mean... even beloved idols that are famous for their vocals such as Wendy, Baekhyun, Solji, etc. struggle to cover HYNN's song. If that doesn't spark interest/curiosity from "vocal coaches" to react to HYNN's Killing Voice, what does?

I love watching vocal coaches analyse xiaojun’s singing because i’ve always known his singing was special and that he’s an amazing vocalist, so this is just extra validation 🥰

I've repeated Xiaojun's ashes cover like 100 times, as much as I've streamed their comebacks. His voice melts my ears, it's pure ear candy.

nobody can top XiaoJun, people who want to hype their faves just ask more vocal coaches to compare, haven’t seen anyone at his skill level in current K/C-POP idols, people can have opinion on vocal style and tone but skills can be analyzed

Xiaojun is such a soulful singer

Xiaojun is an actual vocalist while most k-pop 'singers' are average singers who've had vocal training. You can always tell a real vocalist from someone whose simply had vocal training.

Fun Fact: Lee Mujin was so in awe of XiaoJun, he offered one of his unreleased solo songs to him (XiaoJun declined) That’s how amazing he is ❣️

Xiaojun is one of the members that Taeil asks on techniques. One time Taeil asked XJ how he amplifies his vocals in high range. That is why I was so happy when Taeil, Xiaojun and Renjun had a song project

When people say he’s “one of” the best vocalists in NCT just bc he’s not in the unit they bias, it’s so annoying, he’s literally the best and so humble able it, even when people compliment his WayV members for their improved vocals, do they not understand that comes with often practicing with Dejun? no one gives him credit, he would help anyone without a second thought

Taeil also said, while sitting with XiaoJun & RenJun, that collabing with them for “My Everything” made him have to step up his game, we know he’s not taking about Renjun, because Taeil’s undeniably a better vocalist than Renjun(he’s good but not at that level).

@@bzb_ You know that there are members who have been in SM for 9-10 years so when Xiaojun joined SM 4 years ago, the other guys had already their own fandom. Most of those fans will always try to praise their bias like the other members don't count. It's unfair but a reality and XIAOJUN and other talented guys had/have to work incredibly hard to reach a level where his merits cannot be given to another member without those fans appearing ridiculous

Ashes hits hard and Xiaojun sang with emotions

my favorite thing about xiaojun's voice is his emotion. i've listened to him sing in english, korean, mandarin, and cantonese, and even if i don't understand all of it, i FEEL like i can. like, i know absolutely nothing about technique or skills but i DO know that his voice absolutely tugs on my heartstrings, and i appreciate that so much in a singer

Xiaojun has to be the best vocalist in kpop rn. Definitely the best 4th gen. His approach is completely different from everyone else and he does it with ease too. And he's such a firey and passionate singer as well as he has great techniques and also can do so many different styles. In every new song he shows a newer side to his vocals. He's such a power house and colorful voice.

i'm no vocal coach, but i have yet to hear someone who comes even near to xiaojun's level vocally in 4th gen, and even tho he hasn't had that many opportunities to showcase that, it's especially evident in this video just how well trained he is. he definitely sits with the best vocalists of the previous gens too.. of course there are many many great vocalists and have been in the past so i'm not really trying to make it into a competition as they all have unique voices, but as an artist and a singer, xiaojun just sets the bar SO high for this current generation and the future generations too

Aside from having a BEAUTIFUL voice and IMMACULATE technique, xiaojun's musical theater background helps him to be a lot more expressive than his other peers. The audience could really feel every single bit of emotion not only from his facial expression but from the emotion in his voice.

Yes! I've always loved his facial expressions and emotions. I know some of the WayV members tease him and make fun of him for his dramatic facial expressions but I hope Xiaojun realizes that this is actually his strength and not let the other members dampen him or make him feel too bad about it. Xiaojun would definitely be a great soloist and potentially a great actor with such expressive facial expressions.

xiaojun for me is... the person keeping my heart healed after jonghyuns passing. i cant describe it any differently, thats exactly how i feel. there are so many similarities between them yet they are so different, especially their voices. i love xiaojuns voice, i love how sensitive and soulful he is. hes a real singer and i cant wait to see more of him

Agreed, I enjoyed WayV as a unit of NCT, they have their own vibe and are cutie clowns but when I heard Xiaojun’s cover of End of a Day I became a legit fan. He is the first idol I’ve seen since Jonghyun to convey that much emotion in his voice. It’s a song that on the surface seems to be about such a simple, quiet aspect of love but Jonghyun and now Xiaojun sing it with such longing that it makes you cry to know how actually huge such a simple, deep love is for them. Seriously one of the greatest love songs of our time.

I'm glad to see that Xiaojun's talent is being noticed by experts, he has great potential and a voice full of emotions, thanks for the reaction. Note: Xiaojun comes from a family of musicians, also plays various instruments, he is a composer and lyricist.

I think we don't need to have such a technical skills to evaluate xiaojun's voice. Anyone can feel how beautiful his voice is and how talented he's as a vocalist.. his voice and singing ability are truly deserve standing ovation..

His voice is wonderful, charming, full of passion and feelings, Xiaojun's vocal abilities and his control over his voice show his professionalism and high capabilities.

As soon as I heard him sing the first time he debuted I knew he was a special one. He is so unique in his approach to everything but when he sings that’s when you can sense that he’s the most comfortable. He says he stutters a lot when speaking which I relate to but him singing is his way of communicating with us with ease. Xiaojun is in my opinion the best vocalist is NCT, maybe even in all of 4th gen. I have never heard anyone in K-Pop cover Celine Dion so perfectly. Thank you i love this analysis of Xiaojun's voice. Ive always thought his voice is so special. (Xiaojun says he's the worst singer in his family though, so he must come from a very talented family if that's true.) WayV is the reason I got into Kpop/Cpop. WayV’s song Love Talk came on my recommend Playlist on Spotify. I had to look it up to see if there was a music video. I fell in love with their visuals as well as their sound during "love talk" "MoonWalk" "Turn back time" also their new album just dropped with 2 track videos "dimonds only" "good life" and their Main track "Phantom" with full music video. You should definitely check them out.

Xiaojun is like a fairytale prince ;--;

Xiaojun is a Chinese name, so it's pronounced 'Siao-juen' in Mandarin and 'Siu-Jeon' in Cantonese(his native tongue).

Xiaojun’s voice is one of my favorites right now. That Ashes cover was my drug for a long time and I still come back to it often.

Did you know XiaoJun’s vocals chords were badly injured after pushing himself in the studio to finish WayV ‘s album WHILE fighting COVID? he got COVID and couldn’t produce any sound for a week, he sought help from a vocal teacher, who, thankfully, was able to helped him regain most of his voice, BUT throughout 2022, he still had throat problems, including when he went on the Lee Mujin show, he wasn’t even at peak condition & still amazed everyone, what a vocal king 👏🏻

Xiaojun's vocals are something else for me, something more. Whenever he sings I can feel his passion, like he's making love in a very passionate way with every verse of the song, it's so precious. When it's a happy song, I can picture a image him smiling as he sings, and when it's a sad song, I can hear the same voice as when he cries, i just love how he manages to convey emotions through his voice, and what a voice. He has such a sexy tone, he is a beautiful man with a big heart and brain, he deserves all this talent.

Even though I'm a SHINee fan, his performance of Ashes is the one that moves me the most, and actually, the one that reminds me of Jonghyun, whose song he sings next (End of a Day). When I need him, I watch fancams of Jonghyun singing in concerts, or on music broadcasts; there is one vocal performance in particular that I always return to when I need strength. I know that Xiaojun is the other person whose voice gives me strength and healing, but WayV hasn't had a concert yet, and Xiaojun hasn't had opportunities to sing solo on stage much at all, so there aren't any videos (besides this one and his own social media posts in the past), for me to turn to. Xiaojun's enormous potential is also not being seen. A vocalist of this skill level and talent is pretty much invisible right now. It's quite heartbreaking to realise how much he deserves the spotlight but isn't yet being heard. I hope this year the world finally starts to hear him. What he needs is a stage.
