They can just quick synchro into the level 7 and beat over armades, the level 7 can revive the green one which revives the red one so then you can redeclare attacks with them after so they can use their effects, it makes no difference to the OTK the line just changes

the battle phase dragons are a cool idea and technically going second in yugioh is as strong as going first, but that only holds true if you can choose. making a deck that is good going second is one thing but making a going second deck that doesn't automatically lose going first is another. what a deck like that would need is a way to force the opponent to go into the battle phase to deal with your cards and even then unlike going second would you miss out on the attacking part of that battle phase which this is build around to break boards

The synchro 10 forces the opponent to go to BP. It's not really spelled out, but "must attack if able" means that the opponent must enter battlephase if they control a monster that can attack.

​@@hannessteffenhagen61That is only technically how it works. It's not like the moment the opponent summons a monster they must go to BP and attack. In pracyice they can still do whatever they want in Main Phase 1 and wipe your board before going to the BP.

@@hannessteffenhagen61 The problem the OP brought up wasn't that they have to go BP before Ending Turn. It was that there's nothing stopping them from clearing your field in M1 and then killing you because all your plays happen in the BP. In this case "a way to force the opponent to go BP" would be disruptions that would force the opponents to go BP to clear them so you could use the main deck monster effects. So while you were technically correct, I completely admit, it missed the whole point, which is more what I tried to point out.

The two big things about this deck are, it can OTK through an established board and activated Pot of Prosperity going SECOND, but the absolute best play it can make going FIRST is setting up the Hieratic Spheres, maybe with some kind of protection like Forbidden Lance, Safe Zone or Eagle Booster to force opponents to try to beat over it, and getting ambushed by a bunch of Fire Dragons in the process, which is going to be messy regardless of how well it goes.

Trident Dragion was my very first ulti I ever pulled. I didn't even know the rarity existed at the time so when I saw it it blew me away lmao, I still think its one of the best looking old ultis with the lightning

I feel like the dragons have some use going first if you can get a level 3 and the level 4 to stay on the field for your opponents turn. Will have to see if they get any future support and what it looks like but theyre neat cards.

If they get a trap it would probably be activatable from the hand in the battle phase

the fire king card is a 1,5 full combo and if you play the old garunix you have more monster for link plays on board

What is your opinion on the mahjong cards as a going first 1 card combo, is there any utility in a free synchro 7 as you can do that before you get locked into anything? Edit: you could also add a seals engine to your deck as well, with a payoff in the sloth lock, AFD could work quite well but also clear wing synchro dragon can stop nibiru and potentially work quite well, if you make the engine bigger you could potentially search follow-up and have an easier OTK line

Maybe the new level ten fire dragon synchro is for the going first strategy.

i pulled an ultra rare trident dragion back in the day and have NO CLUE where it could be lol. ideally it gets a reprint in a side set before these cards release

The link 2 goddess is probably gonna be considered in lists that already include proper goddess, but would not make people run them in other decks. It could stand to be a little stronger, I wish it didn't activate but was instead a continuous effect

issue is extra deck space is so rough atm so many staples you have to fill your extra deck up with so what do you cut for little goddess

@@lucaslennan3356 it removes 2 monsters, gives you an hard to out monster, and can out 1 towers. It doesn't take much effort to go into than SP too. But it's mainly outclassed by needing to activate meanwhile with a SP the moment you have like a link 1 + anything you are threatening to make her

@@tcoren1 Almost all of the benefit in what you described is from Goddess. What Moon does is be removal that, if the opponent cannot stop it, converts to an extra body if you summon Goddess exactly, which is technically more removal. Conversely you could make S;P and it's removal if the opponent let's it go through and more removal even if it doesn't, and doesn't require the 2nd slot in the Extra Deck. Basically it makes it slightly easier to summon Goddess at the cost of being worse removal/flollow-up and being much weaker to disruption. This is all under the assumption that they put a monster in 1 of the 4 of 6 zones that it can point to and not the far left or EMZ. Just isn't worth it.

@@lucaslennan3356 making goddess with 3 materials IS a benefit, as is removing two monsters (reminder that as long as either the best or second best target can be pointed to it works, hard to put both in good zones). I'm not saying it's amazing or better than SP(goodness gracious), just that it's decent enough that if you run goddess you'll consider also adding her. It requires the same amount of materials as SP (if you don't have link 1s) for a better outcome, with the downside that it is A LOT more telegraphed and interruptible. If that aspect was removed by making it continuous it could be like how garura made people start playing super poly more, but with the actual text it'll just be a consideration in lists that already had goddess

Bro you can do it with all dragon two lvl 3 and one lvl 4 so it 10 there is one tuner

Flamvell Guard is a level 1 fire dragon and tuner. Add in sinful spoils engine and I think this deck can cook

Full armor utopic lancer indirect support a lot of rank 4 deck. The most obvious one suship. Exosister could used it if have extra slot for this. Other rank 4 deck need to check extra deck space but for suship it is not a big deal at all since it have a lot slot. About that dragon why the level 7 synchro lock your only synchro summon dragon monster? Haiz. For the quick spell, if your want a fire dragon tuner outside this artype, we only have 1 which is magna Draco which is level 2 fire tuner.

D-link and dragon rulers can play trident dragons and it will be glorious.

Not sure how long the set up is for the new dragons prebattle phase, but like... Is this deck going to just be good with the time rules? Cause if you're doin crap, it's in the battle phase.... Oh, was time called? Well, we're in battle phase. Let me finish my setup that is also taking place during my attacks. gg.

Moon of the closed sky isn't a bad card per se, it just needs a proper target to make it worth, that isn't just goddess. While Borrelend is a pretty good target for this card, you have to sacrifice a suprising amount of consistency for this to work. The regular Darkfluid (not neo-tempest) is another target for this card to work, but why play regular dark fluid when Neo Tempest or any other cyberse monsters exist that gives more (think of Accesscode or Firewall dragon) consistency? Still really interesting and I hope it gets more interesting targets. The new dragons are fucking cool, I don't give a shit what people say about them. They are an actual fire dragon architype which I am suprised is extremely rare. Well anyway, they may not be the best but goddamn are they cool.

dragion was the final boss of my dragunity deck back in ygo3. I went 200 unbeaten with that deck.

Everyone forgot that you can add Flamvell Guard with the quick spell. Card will be broken!

The level 10 looks like the in archetype going first boss monster, the field spell makes it unaffected and it's own effect then protects it during the battle phase. So basically if your opponent chooses to go second they can only do most of their meaningful stuff in main phase 2, not sure how much it matters but atleast it's annoying I guess.. The problem is just, what if they make something bigger than it, or what if they just blow up the field spell and then the monster?

Why does your opponent need to play in the main phase 2? Can't they just pop the field spell first and then clear the rest of your field in the main phase 1?

The field spell does not do anything on the opponent's turn. The immunity to activated effects only applies during the owner's main phase 1. You can certainly pass on the level 10 if you want, but the most it will do is make your opponent use removal, beat over or maybe use negation in order to stop it from reviving itself.

The field spell only protects during your(the owner)’s MP1 tho, I initially thought it’s during both and would be broken but sadly no. Regarding if they make something bigger, maybe you can special summon the fadra(protects from battle destruction) from gy from Bident effect and not use it as synchro mat, or maybe special summon fadra from deck with the quickplay spell during battle phase? Going first it definitely has some tools and if there’s ways to interrupt and keep even the 3 star dragons alive through the opponent MP1 then it would be decent strength.

Actually, i got a question; does Moon of the Closed Sky affect the monster it targets or the player? Could she bypass monsters that are unaffected?

No she can't. But Goddess can and it's unlikely that the opponent has 2 unaffected monsters.

I don't care how "good" the mahjong dragons are, I'm still playing them because big number funny.

It's definitely funny watching this in the future, where Tenpai is one of the few non snake-eye decks in the OCG meta. TBH his reasons for it being bad are my reasons for not wanting to play Tenpai (even though it's good)
