If you hold the throttle down while pedaling the motor will continue to give you full power. Even if you’re barely pedaling, as long as you’re holding the throttle down and barely pedaling you’ll get above 30mph. (I got 36.6mph on the Core-5 with less torque)
I have this exact same bike and love it. Motor is super quiet (unlike other mail order brands) and the headlight is actually pretty decent. The bike is light and quick, and the front suspension really smooths out the bumps. Thanks for the review.

In this video, @ 10 miles or 16 Km they are at 50% battery, this means if you wanted to get home on power, this is the maximum trip range and you have to turn around. We should include a maximum return distance in reviews. Hell, if the bike were smart, it would know when it was at 50% range. Thank you.
Thanks for demonstrating the effects of a couple of system settings. It was helpful.
You rode up a 50% grade? That's a 50-foot rise over a 100-foot run. Maintaining an incline of anything over 15% for any length of time is considered extremely challenging, even for riders of the best abilities. Good job, dude!

Thanks man and it wasn't 50%, 15% :) Still a pretty steep hill
I agree.. I have a LMTD, best bike out there!!
Thanks for the review, this (in the step-through version) is my #1 option as I'm looking at ebikes. Appreciate the detail of the controller options.
This is a legit review. Love that hill test, it's representative of the hills here in Omahill I mean Omaha.

Thanks!
Great review! Thank you!
Nice bike but take serious exception to their claim of 95-100 nm of torque. Would love to see any actual test that proves that claim.

Bro- 3 hour charging? Not from empty with the included 2 amp charger. More like 6 to 7 hours
When you press the power and minus button there is a pop up that says Bluetooth unbound. Any idea what that could mean?
The Aventon Pace 500.3 has gotten over 60 miles range with numerous testers. Sub 20 mile range is ludicrous for this bike!
GREAT REVIEW -- love the real world mileage results - thought i was crazy for not getting the advertised 28-50!!!;) Don't know how the guys at EBR got 37 at PAS 5!!!;)

Thanks! They probably coasted lol
Had Ride1Up equipped their bikes with a TWIST GRIP throttle, i probly would have bought 2 of them. No one could ever tell me if the aftermarket twist grip throttles would work on Ride1up models. I love everything about the LmtD, not that gimmickie thumb throttle tho.

If throttling your e-bike that much to the point where the difference between twist and thumb actually matters then you’re buying the wrong bike.

Easy to swap out the throttle.
I'm 5' 10" with 29" inseam...is the LMT'D XR version going to be too large to stand comfortably over the cross bar? The Ride1up spec sheet has the 29" point pretty close to the seat and the cross bar goes to ~40" near the handle bar junction. Maybe the Step Thru version might be an easier fit, but there are very few reviews showing the stand over fit, and why they chose the XR vs ST version...thx for any insight you might have on fit!

We're close to the same height, I'm 5'11. I think you'd be ok standing over the crossbar on this, I was anyways
Great review! Which app are you using on your phone as you ride? Thank you.

Thanks! App is called "map my walk"
San Francisco city gas sone really steep hills. I am looking for a bike that I can ride up and down these steep hill with relatively little effort (same effort that I would put in on a straight road without any power). I am wondering if this Or the Prodigy would be a better option. Any other I should be aware of?

No you need a bike with mid drive 1000w motor.
Ordered one from those guys bike came with missing parts it’s been 3 weeks and they haven’t resolved the problem wouldn’t recommend dealing with them

Really, that's surprising these guys are usually right on point

Can it ride in snow?

I wouldn't, doesn't have AT tires
Seems like a great bike but the range is pretty disappointing.

All depends on how you ride it, lots of things affect range so I'd check out other reviews and see what they got
@mkygod

you can buy a load balancer kit and secondary battery and double that range. It would cost just under $300
Has anyone taken this bike on trails?
@ElectricRevolution

Paved trails yes, I would be very choosy if you take it off road, maybe like a nice green rated trail
I get so tired of seeing people glued to cell phones. Put that effing thing away. Good grief.
