It's such a shame that it's more cost effective to just replace items then to reuse repurpose isn't it. Nice result though Keith and its so much better than just buying new in my opinion.

thanks Karl, yeah things you buy in shops just seem to get more and more disposable unfortunately

But is the stuff you buy new actually any better than the older stuff I have found some newer stuff doesn't last as long as older items (and that excludes the previous life that older item may have).
Very tidy job. Glad you are still trying to starve the landfill- that was one of the things I liked back when I first started watching you, when you used to roam back alleys and such like. Keep it up.

No longer the case. Bradda, needs to expand to make money. Sad but it's reality. Get sponsored by big corporations , get....
Brownie points with the M in L. That's worth a great deal.
Just a little tip Keith..Before you peel tape from a painted edge like that you should just gently go down it with a nice new stanley blade, makes for a lovely clean line.
"Keith's eye view"! 🤣 Brilliant! How have I missed this video coming out for a year!? Great to see you re-using and upcycling as always Keith. The paint you used looks great too. I've struggled to get a good primer in the past so will definitely look at that in future. Can we have more Keith's eye view videos please?! 😃

Cheers. More Keith's eye view coming soon actually on the roofing project I'm currently working on 👍
This is an attractive door. It adds a decorative touch and some unique character. I'm glad that you did not give in and just buy another door from a big box store. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
I love your repairs, builds, etc. But am wistful for your painstakingly detailed furniture restoration projects of old. Maybe throw in a project here and there?
I fell in love with this doors the moment you pick them up from the van.
Always nice to be able to do a little something for the family, especially if there's a bit of home cooking at the end of it. Nice to reuse as always and a big improvement on the old mate. Got a story about converting a 16th century mehogany and stained glass door to a bifold, for an Earl in a grade 1 listed castle no less. For another time maybe. Needless to say I think it was the job that started my going grey and I've never wanted to look at a bifold since!
Your mother in law is very lucky to have you in the family.
You earned a few Brownie points there Keith 😉 Good job.
I bet your mother in law is glad of the day rhea brought you home! Always satisfying when you can help out a familiar member, and repurpose something at the same time. Looks a really smart job 👍
Nice job! Anyone can buy a new door. It takes a man like Keith to create this fine work
The doors are pretty charming, and the end result is really lovely. Cool to give a second life to stuff ;) well done
Those are some beautifully etched doors! Glad you gave them a new life!
It’s looks wonderful and I Agree better then ending up in land fill ♥️
any video that keeps something from the dump gets a thumbs up from me. nice work mate.
liking the KEV cam ... more "Keiths Eye View" lovely doors, keep up the great work fella :)
So much better than buying new mate (but I understand where you’re coming from, from a trade perspective). Love how it turned out! Plus a steak dinner from the in-laws! Win win in my book.
The Zinsser BIN is also a perfect primer when spray painting MDF especially end grain
Great job keith🙌👍, I’ve done jobs before that cost more than to buy, but I’m never bothered as it gives me more experience, it’ll always be talking piece, and it’s a one off👍 😁 enjoying all your videos! All the best Rob💪
My friend is a finisher/joiner.. mainly now her gives old kitchens a facelift by hand painting the units then spray painting the doors… he maintains the best thing to get rid of live woodworm is to spray or brush them with diesel yes deisel
Base-ball cam...perfect
There is one thing about you that blows me away every time. How do you do your jobs so fast? (Not meaning this project).I would love to see a video of your normal working time on a typical project. I can't fathom your focus and speed. Awesome job as usual Keith.
So beautiful, love the details on the glass.
Compared to any new doors this one is likely made of really high quality wood and should, despite having been eaten at by woodworms, last a lot longer than most modern alternatives. Not to mention how much more style it has. Good job repurposing these!
Impressive, and a very satisfying job. Well done
Great job, the door is so beutiful🙌. We need to start see the value in salvage and not buy new if this planet is going to survive! And we need people like you to show us how!
Pretty nice job, the right example of recycling, DIY and unique design! I was surprised to see that the scrapper didn't damage the glass, I'll do the same for a next project :)
Good job altering the doors Keith they look very nicely fitted. That wood must be tasty those woodworms had a fiest, unbelievable.
It looked fantastic in the end when fitted. Time consuming but a really good result nonetheless.
Nice recycling project.
Family is important. Well done.
Wow really nice door, much better than the broken one and that bathroom has loads more light now.
Fantastic job, so rewarding to pull an unused item like that and make it work. Yes, this is may not be the most economical way, but it's the right way.
Well, you did an absolutely brilliant job and provided me with some great ideas
I love this video! More work for your parents, please?
Completely agree with restoring the doors, I abhor discarding usable materials, and looks like a nice job. But what is it with so many homes here in the UK having stupidly located doorways where you can't operate a normal door without interference from other fixtures / furnishings, or creating an obstruction between them? I realise layout needs will change over time but surely doorways have fairly consistent requirements?
Nice work Keith It's very satisfying bringing something like that back to life and helping someone out in the process
You need to get your wife involved in all of these projects. I think your KZread channel would benefit exponentially. You’re very talented and I think that if you guys were doing flips and remodels that it could spawn a new career path for both of you.
It might have been better to just buy new doors, but you gained brownie points with your wife and in laws 👍🏻 🇨🇦
Excellent project! And I firmly believe that the ninth circle of hell is fitted in louvered doors.
These turned out so pretty! Nice job as always. The videos you save/upcycle things are my favourite
That looks fantastic! I’m glad you took the time to do it.
Looks great mate👍👍
Beautiful job. Love the doors.
Keith, screw some sacrificial bits of 4x2 to the top of your saw horses then you wont need to prop things up to cut them like you did with the doors in this video
Great job!! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice, big thumbs up for bringing new life to the old doors 💪🏻👍🏻
Recycling is the way
Keep un the good work mate
Nicely done.
Great job 👍🏼
Well done! You did a great job. Thanks for sharing
Nice little project Keith, neatly and efficiently done. Thanks.
love your reasons for putting in the time. looks great.
Just think of all the Brownie points you accumulated Keith, immeasurable. Regards Jim.
That's a cool repair 👍 thanks .
Happy mother-in-law -> Happy wife -> Happy life 😎
Nice job on the doors. I suppose by not rebating the bifold hinges you don’t leave either bare wood or the need to remove the hinges and paint again. I think it would look nicer if it was painted where you rebated in this case 👌🏻
Mighty job
Hi Keith door looks great and nice fit too, if you drill through a square piece of wood and hold to work piece it keeps drill straight and when measured and cut to size also acts as a depth stop , keep up the good work ,G.
Nice one Keith, saved going to land fill !!!.
Hopefully that woodworm hasn’t moved into yours pile of timber 😉 nice and easy videos as usually 👍
Interesting video. I think you should paint the wood under the hinges. Concerning the worm treatment, is it possible to use vacuum in order to deepen the impregnation? Merci. jp from France
That’s a nice thought of doing u Your in laws a favour Keith and the door looks super. Great job and a great video mate 👍🏼👍🏼
My mum has wanted me to take her current bathroom door, cut it in half and slap some hinges on it to make a bifolding door for ages. I had a feeling there was more to it than that...
Looks a lot nicer after than it does before so that is what I call a success. The paint job around the glass panes is a bit on the rough side though. It looks as if you had paint bleed under the masking tape, which could be poor adhesion due to not cleaning the glass first, poor quality masking tape, and/or rushed application of the tape?
Happy wife happy life keith , that goes for mother in laws too 😉
The only things I get satisfaction from these days are things I dont get paid for... I got customer burn out long ago. Great job keith, I too love doing something that saves wood from the dump and if its for family or friends i get more of a buzz.
Interesting. Used to use Cuprinol for fence posts and exterior siding bug problems, but it disappeared in the US. Too toxic. It appears Sherwin Williams was involved for a while. Thanks for the video.
yep zinsser bin is proper stuff, I used to,work in a paint shop
This is the rewarding part, making something beautiful from something that normally you throw away, I would never put a price on that feeling, even if you don't gain too much money out of it...
You could put some rare earth magnets where it folds so when it’s closed it stays put .
Great result, nice one! What was the reason for not getting the spray gun out for this one?
Smart move Rag’o …sweeten up the outlaws …..good investment….GL..Peter P
Very nice project! I was just wondering why you didn't spray the paint on the doors... Greeting from Milton, Florida
👍. The reuse vs buy new thing eh. Like you said, in this instance it was a favour for family so all is well. Just a shame the world can’t be ran using steak dinners as currency 😉🤣
Great way to upcycle, just one question, should you have painted the bit you cut out for the hinge?
Great job, something saved from the landfill again. Kudos! How was your steak?? :) Thanks for sharing.
Good son in law!!
Nooice!
Forget your dollars or gold bars.. MIL brownie points. Now we’re talking proper hard currency!
😁 Nice job Keith. You can't beat doing "Mother in law" jobs. You always get paid with a good meal 😁. But I bet she has a neverending list of "Keith jobs" to be done 😂🤣. Thanks for the video 😁👍
Nice project! But what devil made a fitting that needs an 11 (!) mm drill bit??? LOL. Cheers.
Steak dinner. Makes it all worth it.
Why not vacuum the dust off instead of blowing it around the workshop for it to land on the work on again? 🤔
I would trade Steak for a couple hours of work most any day!
Back in the 60’s I went on a job with my dad one of the other carpenters said he would give me sixpence for every woodworm I caught being the son of a carpenter I took his plane shaved down the timber and with a pin picked out 20 woodworm needles to say the rest of the guys made him give me the pound 😊
HOW I KNOW IF MY WOOD HAS WOODWORM OR NO & if kiroseen of petrol kill it or no thank u
Nice private plate on the van, must have cost a fortune!
👍🏻🍻🍺🍕

Tight budget? It's your Mom, Keith. Just giving you a hard time...
Having her mother on your side is helpful when she's being a bit unreasonable later on..🤣 "Have you spoke to your mother about it?"
Agree capitalism is broken
re-purpose more, buy less
If you've only come here for Dylan you're going to be really disappointed :( This just isn't right Keith.
