Hey! My name is Dave Donoghue and I am a Guitar teacher from Ireland
The aim of these videos is to create Easy and Accurate Guitar Songs that you can play on guitar. I have many playlists that act as a collection of easy song lessons for beginners and intermediate players on guitar. These easy guitar tutorials contain open chords with strumming patterns! Whether or not you are into pop songs or you are here because you want to learn how to play easy guitar songs, I hope my collection of song lessons help you!
When learning guitar, a lot of players are looking for easy guitar songs to strum but even if you have been playing a lot longer than that, then these lessons are still a good group of tutorials of easy guitar songs to sing and play. Although some songs were originally played on electric, they still make good beginner acoustic songs, many being easy songs in easy keys. I know with KZread there is so much to learn out there and you may be asking yourself "what is a super easy song to play on guitar"? , well I hope this channel will be built out over time to help serve your playing so be sure to subscribe for future uploads! ..and remember to get your free access to my tab and song sheet collection at theschoolofguitar.com/songlib...

Nice job :) You're Welcome!
WOW, amazing what a difference this instantly makes! Reminds me of one of the core principals of yoga which teaches an awareness that our body is not a bunch of isolated parts, but rather one big, interconnected system. I've been asking my thumb to do it all when it should be a full body experience. Its so simple but so powerful! My mind is blown! Thank you!!!
Man,I was'nt stuggling.I was getting a cramping feeling.I am older .This is a great tip for anybody.Thanks for sharing the tip...

Holy f***! I’ve been playing for 22 years now and you’ve shattered my barre game. Thank you so much!!!! 🙏🏼✨
You forgot to tell people this technique requires a bit of finesse. If you pull your guitar like that you make the neck bend backwars which will make your chord go sharp depending how much u pull. Sometimes you see some guitarists do it as a vibrato effect by pulling on the neck. So the advice I could give is to practice to do this technique with the least amount of effort to make the barre chord ring out nicely. That will be the point where you dont pull too hard but still can make the chord sound clean.
HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE BEST GUITAR VID ADVICE I GOT SO FAR, it’s hard because you can never tell people are doing this by just watching vids
This was actually insane thank you
@TheSchoolOfGuitar

Sweet! Glad you find it useful :)
For me it’s harder to play barre cords because the middle strings don’t vibrate unless I have other fingers on the frets up further from my Barr finger. Like barre A cord is harder than a B barre
Dude, thank you so so so much, I’ve been trying to play a barre chord for like, 3 weeks. I finally got it.
Great tip to make everything you play sound sharp 😂

It makes my day seeing comments like this! So glad you got it working :) And yeah short lessons don't solve everything but there's definitely a lot of guitar problems that can be fixed in less than a minute, without 17 minutes of "like, subscribe, follow" etc etc.

For years ive either figured out a different way to play songs, or avoided them completely because of how much my hand cramps up from playing barre chords, im hoping this can change that, thanks for the help
@TheSchoolOfGuitar
Ай бұрын
Yeah I hear ya, here are 3 more things that could help your hand cramps: 1. Use lighter strings to begin (10 gauge) 2. Learn the G major barre chord first 3. Put a capo on the 1st fret to add some extra pushing onto the strings.. ..then do this video exercise, and piece by piece work on it, remove the capo when you feel ok to do so. These will help build small wins but build up bigger belief. You got this. Get on it and drop me an email at dave@theschoolofguitar.com in 30 days to let me know your progress. You got this!
Appreciate these details, thank you.👍

Sweet! Love seeing these comments, so glad it helped!
Thanks for your knowledge
This helped me so much, I also figured out that turning the guitar inwards to much to see the notes your playing will affect you from tucking in your elbow and will make the barre chord tense. Instead just let the muscle memory develop while keeping the guitar bit turned and keeping the elbow tucked
My strings are too hard to press. I already adjust the trust rod but it's still hard do I need to adjust the bridge?
