The rooster is is an easter egg of sorts. A fan gave the boys (Chris I believe - the fries will correct me if I'm wrong) a rooster as a gift so you can see the rooster in other videos as well. It's just their wacky sense of humor - and we love it. Thoroughly enjoying your reactions!! Thanks. 😆🍟🐓 Also, if you really want to hear what Austin can do then you need to hear "When a Man Loves a Woman".

It was actually us German Fries who collected loads of chickens (over 500 of all sorts - mostly edible) to send to Chris. That was the result of some banter in 2015 between the admin of our facebook-group at that time around the question what we would have to do to get Home Free to tour in Europe.

And don't forget Dive Bar Saints (although maybe they're too busy working to hang) and It Looks Good! And it may not be in a bar, but I wouldn't mind hanging out with them in Good Ol' Boys Good Time, either.
If I remember correctly Austin arranged these songs, he did a fabulous job too.
They used to hide the rooster in all of the videos. The rooster went with Chris when he left. Us Home Fries spent a lot of time rewatching the videos to find it.

Absolutely loving your reactions. You get the guys so well. They put smiles on everyone's faces. Scottish Home fry here. 🏴👍

Rob = the most talented Teddy Bear ever!!
Absolutely loved your reaction, especially since you looked the way I suspect I looked watching it the first time!! I'm sure others have already suggested "When a Man Loves a Woman", but I highly recommend that one. The crazy part about it is that it was filmed during Covid so the only one in the studio was the lead singer, I won't tell you which guy did it, I'm hoping you'll just watch & be blown away like the rest of us. Thanks for continuing down this rabbit hole, you're definitely a Home Fry!!! 🍟❤️🍟
Yes, it was a mash-up of Chandelier, Wrecking ball, and also Fireworks! HF is multifaceted, for example, you may want to check out their serious side ("Brothers in arms"), their powerful side ("Everybody walking this land"), their melancholic side ("I can't outrun you," "In the blood," ) and so on, too many songs to mention. They are versatile, covering many genres, and they are infusing new life to classics ("Unchained melody," for example), and cover several songs with the original artists. You would also enjoy their originals like "Love me like that," "Catch me if you can," "Save the world." :)

This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. I didn't know most of these songs. But I don't care as it is just so much fun to watch. You're a Home Fry 🍟 too like the rest of us!!
We all crush on all of them, so welcome to falling in love with Home Free. It is their mix of talent, humor, emotional expressiveness, genuine warmth and humility, and maybe they are just a wee bit handsome too!
They mashed up "someone that I used to know", "Chandelier", and "Bullet proof" all at the same time. They are musical geniuses. I love the way they have made me love some of these songs that, if Iam honest, I really didn't like, and made me like them. They have done that on more than one occasion. in their videos. THAT is talent. May I recommend that you listen to "Ring of Fire" next. You can hear Tim go to the basement.

They need to do just an epic medley that's longer sections of like 25 songs.
Talent level is high. Wow
I love this arrangement. Genius. And truly, it's so hard to pick a favorite member. They have all "wowed" me many times in many ways. In this one, the flexibility of Tim's voice is remarkable. The fact that he can do runs and riffs so cleanly is a rare talent for a bass register like that. And ROB!!! And the Ruppster holding it together spectacularly. And Austin's range here! Thanks for continuing to react to them. Their versatility is infinite.
Please react to Home Free “Hillbilly Bone “ it is to die for. 🔥
The musical genius who put this together was Austin Brown, who aside from being an underestimated songwriter, is a talented arranger. I agree that some of the songs should have been full versions, and it was a pity that we didn't hear a longer section of Chandelier/Someone i Used to Know. In the early days, the guys used to perform a skit called Guilty Pleasures, one of the main points of which was the idea that Austin wanted to be Justin Bieber and to rap, and broke into other guys' songs to blast Baby. He actually did it very well! It's worth checking out one of the earlier versions (avoid the ones called Derailed - they were the versions that went wrong and often aren't as funny), and I promise you will never look at Austin's trousers in the same way again. He gave himself the chance to sing Baby here. I think you would enjoy Moonshine, another Brown arrangement showing off Rob and Adam Chance. If you've seen The Big Lebowski, check out This is how We Roll. Great reaction. Nice to hear a fellow Brit!

It's deeply unfunny. For once even Home Free couldn't do anything with this turkey.
Been looking forward to your reaction to this one. The songs are all recognizable but with a definite Home Free twist to them. Austin definitely has a talent for drawing your emotions into any song he does whether it's serious and makes you cry or hilarious and makes you laugh. You've seen a lot of their funny songs, and they are great, but you might consider trying some of their more serious songs, too. Tim cowrote a great song called What's Left of My Heart that is really beautiful and they have an amazing rendition of How Great Thou Art as well as Go Rest High on That Mountain that will have you crying (bring tissues).
If you're a Rob fan, you absolutely must react to he and Austin singing "Nessun Dorma". He will turn your head inside out. He's just so talented.
I am loving your HF reactions. You probably the best new reactor i have seen in a while. Keep up the good work.
Great reaction - this is an amazing mashup. They have a great sense of humour. If you like this, try some of their other pop covers like "All About That Bass" - Meghan Trainor. It's a very early one (Austin looks so young) and it's 'countrified' to perfection.
I can't imagine how much work this mashup was for Adam doing the percussion for all the different songs and keeping everyone on beat with the tempo changes.
@patriciamcl54
Жыл бұрын
I doubt if it was recorded all at once. The difficulty of judging the gradually increasing tempo is possibly why the medley never AFAIK made it onto playlists for live shows.
@pennygarrity386
Жыл бұрын
@@patriciamcl54 I know it probably wasn't recorded all at once but Adam also likes to record as much as possible in one take so he can hear what he needs to change or add
The rooster first showed up in the All About That Bass video, and after that they started hiding one in almost all of their videos up until the end before Chris left. In some videos it's seen several times, in other videos just once. It became a game for the Fries to find it, which meant having to watch the videos over and over and over again (such a hard and painful task 🤪🤣), which got their views up. This was in the early days of their video creation starting in September of 2014, ending late 2015 or early 2016. Back when the AATB they had less than 100,000 subscribers on their KZread. With roughly two new videos every month it can be found in plenty of them. In this video it is extremely obvious. I was never able to really find any because I couldn't ever take my eyes off the guys. They are so mesmerizing. 😁🥰🙏 Thanks for the reaction!
I only knew one of these songs and still enjoyed it!!
I love to watch new Home Free reactors, you got a subscription from me. Looking forward to more Home Free reactions from you!

You missed Chris sliding in Titanium. They had 3 songs going at once. Kewl! Great reaction!
I think what the style you were thinking of is Barber Shop, usually a male quartet, and A Capella. Love your enjoyment of it all. I can’t imagine anyone NOT enjoying it. 😊
These guys never take themselves seriously but are dedicated to their fans.
Enjoyed your reaction as always! #DJantlers 😊
Oh they’re definitely nuts all right. They are in Australia right now I think. They were on some morning program singing. (Patrol Nation had the video on his blog). Anyway, the chicken thing was while Chris (cowboy hat) was in the group. Some fan(s) sent in a chicken and they put them in the earlier videos. When Chris left the group in 2016 the chicken thing stopped. Others will know more about it than I do. This is a lot of fun. They have a lot of fun videos. One of my favorites is Brother. They’re dressed up as different warriors. 😄
They have another fun one Mississippi Squirrel Revival it’s so funny 😂

I'm not much of a "pop" fan so many of these songs were unknown to me but I love HF's medley/mash up anyway. When us Southerners hear COUNTRY FRIED we think chicken or steak, but this rooster appears in several of their videos, kinda like the guy who dances in the overalls in the butts remix, he pops up in other videos as well.

While Austin and Rob were singing Sombody That I Used to Know and Chandelier, I think Chris was singing Fire Away. There were definitely three songs over top of each other.

Love your reactions to Home Free 😉. Here are a couple suggestions -- In The Blood, Austin's lead on When a Man Loves a Woman, and Rob and Chance lead on Keith Urban's Blue Ain't Your Color. They also do a great cover of Patsy Cline's Crazy. And you're right... every song is better than the one before...and this is after two years of a steady diet of Home Free and the peripheral material such as Austin's channel, Tim's do-wop album and his work with Peter Hollens... OMG, it just doesn't end! Of course, there are many videos out with their live concerts where they have Story Time with Tim, bits like Hilariously Derailed and What We're Thinking When We're Singing. Then as fabulous bloopers, there's Colder Memory Lapse... have seen it so many times and I still laugh til I cry.

Great reaction! It was like watching it for the first time again, with a fresh set of eyes. Love the enthusiasm!
Loving your HF reactions, and the perma-smile that ensues. It's pretty much impossible to pick a Home Free cover that is not an upgrade. You'll need to check out their many originals and also their collaborations with original artists. I would highly recommend anything on either their Dive Bar Saints or So Long Dixie albums, I believe all but 2 songs on each album are originals. For the Dive Bar Saints album I'd suggest the following 3 songs IN THIS ORDER (you'll see the connection and understand why): Catch Me If You Can (Rob does a great lead); Dive Bar Saints (Chance is spectacular); and then Leave This Town (with Tim leading). Can't wait to see your reactions to each of these, and many more! A Canadian Home Fry.
