Adam so had Buscemi down! And representing Donny's (who no one paid attention to) speech with beeps and whistles was genius. The bad dancing. The quizzical expression when he leaves that 5 pin standing. Just Genius.

I believe this might have been Rob’s idea because he has a movie review podcast with his friend Buegs called The Avid Indoorsman. The outfit Tim is wearing can be seen again in their video Sunday Best

They did reference what happens to Donny, but you have to pay close attention during the outro as to who is missing and what item is present in his place.

This was Rob's idea to do as a spoof of The Big Lebowski.

They really do a great riff on the "Big Lebowski" right down to the costumes. Tim wears the outfit again in "Sunday Best" and the sweater in "Quarantine". I prefer HFs version of the song to the original. And Dammm, Austin looks good in that jumpsuit! Did you notice the coffee can on the table during their talk at the end?

I noticed that that Adam wasn't there, so i had do some research to figure out what was what.

I think it's funny that Tim never moved from his spot like the others, like the bowling one after another shot. Lol During the outro did you notice the coffee can sitting there (and Adam's conspicuous absence)?? Lol You were focused on Austin staying in character. 😂👀

I'm one of those who hasn't seen this movie. I'm sure Austin's musical theater training came into play on this one.

FINALLY I get to see a reactor who knows Lebowski react to this! The video should have been nominated for some award, honestly; excellence in concept and execution. And obviously a labor of love.

Working for a living is a take on Anchorman.... Honey I'm Good pays respect to Groundhog Day. For another fun one, their Sing Off performance where they battled the Filharmonics to a caddyshack tune...I'm Alright.

Hahaha so glad you watched the movie. It’s a classic. And when I saw this cover I laughed throughout. When there are reactors who haven’t seen the movie this cover is a puzzle to them. They don’t understand this and they especially don’t understand Austin. I think he’s called (Hey soose) in the movie I think isn’t he? Anyway, this was perfectly cast. Rob looked exactly like John Goodman did and Tim looked like the “Dude”. Adam was perfect as Donny and Chris was great as the “cowboy”. Austin….what can you say? He’s crazy and perfect (even his nails!). Love this take! They’re so good. Loved your laugh!🥰😍

Love “The Big Lebowski” so much and Home Free nailed the parody. Personally don’t care to much for Luke Bryan so I think Home Free cover is so much better, just my opinion. Thanks for your wonderful reaction!!❤

Tim wears his outfit again in "Quarantine" (and I'm not sure if he does in "Sunday Best" as well). These guys are all packrats!

These guys are so funny. This is a spoof of "The Big Lebowski" which I haven't seen yet. I know it is a cult classic. Austin's rapping is crazy & him licking the bowling ball. Adam looks so sick in this video that it upset me, but apparently he is portraying a character from the movie who dies (hence the coffee can in the outro). Congratulations on getting an interview with Chris Rupp! Looking forward to seeing it.

The first time I saw this video (original release), I hadn’t seen the movie yet. I managed to watch the movie several years later and then went back to watch this video and laughed more than I did the first time. Austin always throws himself fully into whatever character he portrays! Loved your reaction! Too bad more reactors haven’t reacted to it. It’s definitely a gem!!

I know! For me - one of Life's Big Sads has been the way this vid had been treated by reactors. Only a few had bothered and most of them didn't know the movie..or didn't seem to connect the dots. I'm pretty sure there were a couple of times when DJ questioned my sanity, while I shoved him through this rabbit hole...But by golly, if it wasn't worth it!

@@judylee1440 The original video had a fully explanatory article from Buzzfeed but most reactors are too lazy to do any homework and read the info they're given. I swear there have been several reactors who asked commenters if a song was a cover, when the word "cover" is in the title info.

Rob has a movie reaction podcast called "The Avid Indoorsmen" with Beugs who was the guy wearing the overall shorts in the Butts Medley. I understand he also is or was an a capella singer, but I don't know the name of the group. Maybe someone else has that information. They have a few songs that parody movies: Working for a Living and Honey, I'm Good come to mind immediately, but I'm sure others know more than I do.

I’m echoing another suggestion to do “Workin’ For a Livin’”- cover or the 1980’s song by Huey Lewis and the News. Hence their incorporating their homage to the movie “Anchorman “. AND, I still would love to have you react to “I Can’t Outrun You “- Chance lead, pure 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video.

Why this hero worship of Chris Rupp?

Austin wears that outfit in 1 of the quarantine videos for about a 1.2 second clip.. If ya blink, you'll miss it.

I also have to add that the only thing wrong (meaning not looking EXACTLY like the character) with Rob playing John Goodman's character is the length of his beard. But I'm glad he didn't cut his beard down. I haven't seen the movie, just clips, so I'm not sure if Austin's outfit is off by him wearing cowboy boots. Nice touch anyway. So Austin. And at the end, when Adam/Donnie misses that last shot and gets that o so sad look on his face, I think he looks exactly like Steve Buscemi.

I love how Tim never bowls...just as The Dude never bowls in the movie! 😅 yeah, the guys love movies. They watch quite a few on the road to pass the time. (That and video games) in fact, Rob has a podcast with Buegs called the Avid Indoorsman where they watch a movie separately then get together to discuss it. And all the guys from Home Free have been on it multiple times. Game Nights, which are random movie games, are hilarious especially if Adam Rupp joins in!! They get so competitive!!😊😅😂😂

I'd guess that Rob was instrumental in this. He is a giant movie buff. In fact he hosts a movie podcast called The Avid Indoorsmen with his pal Buegs. It's hysterical. Cannot wait for the interview with Chris.
