Yeah the music is great. Animation is good but not insane, but story and characters are weak. And it fell from its conceptual greatness by rushing all the way down to the “interesting” part of the abyss and immediately going to a complete and total halt.

Made in Abyss and it’s OST are a true masterpiece. You seriously have to experience the anime, it is an absolute experience. You NEED TO NOT BE SPOILED THO, going in blind is absolutely necessary

Currently on the last 5 episodes in season 2, slightly difficult to follow through with sub but it's amazing all in all 🤷‍♂️

8:52 it actually lost best ost to attack on titan last year and best fantasy to demon slayer, I will never stop being salty about this one

The "trauma" you speak of was the show itself. Ive never seen a show that can scare me to death with its concepts and then turn around and gut punch you with a scene so despondently sad that it becomes such an uplifting moment as you cry yourself a waterfall...

Kevins talent to produce an atmosphere, tell a story, and touch your soul by way of his music is not praised enough.

This is the reason shit like Demon Slayer annoys me so much. It's an alright show on its own, but its disproportionate to how many other better shows there are. Made in Abyss should be talked about to the level that people talk about Demon Slayer, not the other way around.

i love how different the context is between just listening to the song and hearing it in the anime listening to it makes you feel like you are royalty, while the song in the anime makes you want to bawl your eyes out 😭😭

You need to hear VOH ost and Ouni ost Made in abyss .You will cry after that. And Gravity ft Arnór Dan ost and tomorrow ost made in abyss make you happy.

Kevin composed sound tracks for MiA, an anime about going down the abyss and another anime about climbing a tower. Both Ost are great.

I like how you uploaded this on the “Nicholas **Dark** TV” channel, because Made in Abyss is genuinely one of the darkest, goriest and most disturbing animes I’ve ever watched. Yes, you heard me. If you ever plan on watching this, just know that this is not a kid’s show, even though it’s focused around children and the openings and art style look cute. It’s the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover” and that’s one of the reasons I absolutely love this anime. But the biggest reason you should watch it is the incredible story and worldbuilding.

Best story out there... trust

Made In Abyss is a must watch And i personally think Nick would enjoy it too

@@randompolygon8401 I guess youre right. I forgot that MiA is one of the early anime Ive watched back in 2017. 6k of total eps now so kinda forgot about that. Nick's an adult so I guess he can handle those weird shit. But I hope those scenes wouldn't change his perspective on anime. Talking about horror anime, maybe he should try Another. It's not great or anything but thats the base of horror anime imo. after that he can start with the Junji Ito Uzumaki that's coming out soon. Just so he can get the jist of what horror feels like in japanese culture

@@MTAKIM-xy9jd Tbh I didn't think the anime had that much "unnecessary" weirdness besides that one part in ep1 where Riko was strung up naked and the toilet scene in season 2 (although it didn't really include nudity, but it was just kinda weird)... The other nude parts just seemed like cultural behaviour to me since I, too, live in a country where nudity is not linked straight to sexualizing. I thought it also added to the realism of the natural but unfamiliar world that the author clearly wanted to convey through the story, so I really don't get why some people make it such a big deal. I mean, I understand that CP is a huge problem, but this doesn't even come close to anything like that. Now, the manga is a whole other story😬 The author's production manager wanted him to include some questionable content on the transitioning chapters when the manga was doing bad at first - thanks Japan😐 And I think the author also has some... unique... fetishes regarding smell and some other things😅

@@MTAKIM-xy9jd To be fair Season 1 and the Movie wasn't THAT bad in terms of weird kid scenes. It didn't get bad until Season 2 where is was horrid for even Anime standards. Like what is up with the toilet and the poop scene?

It’s unfortunate that Made in Abyss is a more under the radar show when every aspect of it can arguably be called pinnacle. Also unfortunate 80% of the people in that stream and who watch this won’t understand, but if you think this was amazing... you’d be correct. But you’re not ready for VOH, again by Kevin Penkin.
