Human Rights Lawyer Mike Ozekhome, reacts to the impeachment threats from the minority caucus of the senate maintaining that “For once they are awake from their deep slumber, there is no one as difficult to wake up as someone who is pretending to be asleep.” on the President’s proposed impeachment of Buhari, Ozekhome says, this 9th Senate is the worst Senate we have ever had since Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. The 8th senate was the best, they challenged President Buhari, spoke truth to power, challenged impunity.” “The situation has become so bad that the deaf can hear it, the blind can see it, the lame can walk it, the numb can feel it.”
Mike Ozekhome. Be that as it may, he does not see the lawmakers being able to carry out their threat of impeachment, considering the 2023 elections and noting that there are several impeachment stages. Ozekhome blames Lawan for “stratifying the whole process.”
He expects President Buhari to make a national broadcast assuring Nigerians that he is aware of his responsibilities as a strong, able executive President and Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces and will do whatever it takes to defend and protect their lives.

This Ahmed Lawan should never return to the Senate or hold any political office because he is a major contributor to the problems of this Administration, the impunity is so unbearable.

What do you guys expect, when he surrounded himself with his kinsmen. Atleast everyone can see why federal character needs to be adhered to. For some reason, the north just like supporting their own foolishly. They are too blinded by their religion and tribe. I can guarantee you that a southerner will not tolerate excessive trash from their own, and that's why we are different.
Staging a walkout has no impact on anything. Buhari has been given TOO long a rope to the point that nothing will happen to him now that he is about to leave. It is bad timing that makes it look like the senate is playing games.
Impeachment at this stage remains a child's play. What we all can do now is to impeach both PDP & APC aspirants at the ballot boxes.
History will remember the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a spineless bunch of men and women who failed Nigerians when it matters most.
