Another fun Bill review. The W140 & W221 represent the best of the S-Class.

There are 2 handles in the trunk for grocery bags or 2 hamster to hang if your car only has one that means the other is broken and the trunk is not spacious but way too small for a big Limousine. Your service guy should make sure that the tire pressure for the front are the same like the rear tires let him read it of the sticker on the doors. Marty shows his guns

Bro thank you. You did a spectacular job showing the entire car, its bells n whistles and the fact your personality and whitty comedic conversation kept me laughing and my attention the entire time. I actually own the same car and I like the electric shifter its very unique. I also like automatic and 6 speed manual transmission and how easily I can move between the two with my fingers and the push of a button. Very sauce and sophisticated vehicle.

The entire CL Class was riddled with problems, whether they were electrical or mechanical. I’ve never liked any of the CL’s. And the curved body lines made them look like Japanese knock-offs of their own brand. Why would Mercedes make a car that looked like a knock-off of their own brand, except to maybe show Lexus what they should have done?

David Topchiev, there are a lot of tutorials here on KZread, that will explain so many features of the E-class. And if you follow Alex, of LegitStreetCars, you can learn even more about how to service and repair the E-class W211.

I had this car pretty much exactly (mine was Andorite gray instead) and I loved it. Drove it from 79-105k miles and adored every second. It was a very fast car and super comfortable.

Beautiful back trunk Bill! Give me a car with a trunk to conceal my machine guns and nets for my Yorkshire Terrier and infant...sold, sold, sold!

@@240fxst I appreciate your reply. I had previously looked at some CLS 63s and E63s. I actually found a 1 owner 2012 E63 for sale by a gentleman in Texas. Now I understand why he was asking as much as he was as the car was mint, low miles and unmolested. He and I went back and forth on price but I certainly wasn’t disrespectful in any way. I knew what he had and he did too. Unfortunately for me being in South Florida it didn’t make it any easier. We both understood where the other was coming from but I got a call from him one early morning to apologize but a local Texan showed up with a cashiers check for the full amount he was asking. Admittedly, I was bummed but I was happy for him. Recently, I have found two 2008 S550s with sport packages with similar low mileage… same color exterior and interior. If you didn’t know the difference you’d thing they were the same car. So now that the CLS 63 $ E63 seem to be out of play, I’m focusing my energy on one of these two S Classes. Both beautiful well maintained cars that are fairly priced… I’m curious as to your opinion on the S550s I’ve driven all 3 variants but now the S Class is calling me. I know I won’t be disappointed with either one but your feedback would certainly be most welcome and appreciated. Thanks @240fxst

@@240fxst for context, I’ve become good friends with a a guy on the west coast via MBWorld forum. He and I were talking last night and I showed him the two S550 AMG Sport cars I found and he laughed, saying that I now have quite the dilemma, lol. He has a 2013 S550 AMGw/sport package and his wife has a C63s. He’s also currently looking for a CLS63 himself for a third car. I don’t know if i disclosed this here but back in the day I leased a 2008 BMW 750Li which was a great car given it was under warranty during my ownership which certainly help my anxiety. Now I’ve got to make a decision on which one I’m waving in.

Great video my man. I’m currently looking at a few S550s with the Sport package like this one as well. Back in ‘08 I leased a 2008 BMW 750Li which was a great car to be honest. I didn’t have any issues with the car but I was covered under warranty during the 3 year lease which alleviated a lot of stress. I was looking at an ‘11 as well as a ‘13 with similar specs. Again, I’ve been on the hunt for a used S550 with an extensive service history that has been well maintained. For context, I live in South Florida (Palm Beach County) and recently came across a 2 owner 2008 S550 with the AMG Sport package with excellent maintenance history. The price is fair in my opinion. My concern is maintenance in the future as we all know these cars are not cheap to fix if there’s a serious issue(s). A lot of the major preventive maintenance was done by Mercedes so a question I have is, buying a warranty would provide a level of comfort. The car is in excellent condition. Any feedback from former/current owners would certainly be appreciated. This would be my first MB purchase. If anyone is interested in looking at the vehicle I can’t provide a link. Again, any thoughts, suggestions, etc. would be welcome and greatly appreciated. Many thanks… James C. .

The weak parts that caused problems in earlier vehicles were changed in builds during the 2007 model year. I checked the VIN of this car, and the engine serial number is higher than the range that had the weaker parts that could fail.

Looking at 1 of these rn... Would say it's a close competitor(no better than) my 2006 750Li, but the S550 has the SEVEN SPEED! 😛That alone is huge. Similar weight, 0-60&1/4mi/top speed (kinda), but the Benz must b a tad more smooth, right?

Tai Theguy stay away from the 750. The transmission and electronics WILL fail and cause issue after issue. I know the car well. When it was running well in the beginning it was great. Luxury on deck. This MB here is solid and would rather have had it. Now though looking at the 2016 E350 (4Matic would be cool) w/ the 3.5 V6. Plenty out there. Something w/ less than $24k. Peace and don’t buy that Beemer 750.

Larry Bronaugh too late. But... '06 750Li with only 54k miles! & was $1k cheaper @$5k. Worth way more Already fixed hydraulic hood props, power seat thigh supports, telescopic steering, pcv valves (exhaust smoke)& changed oil. ALL for $145 & like 3-4 hrs of work! I'm lovin it. Aside from 2 curbed rims, it's flawless. & those are 19" chrome performance pkg. Came w/all orig papers/accs & $86k window sticker

I bought this car when I was 27 in 2014. It got flooded in a rain storm because I parked it in the basement level of my high rise condo at the time. Now I own a Cadillac CTS Coupe, Jeep wrangler 4 door, Jaguar xk convertible, and a old ford f150 truck....and I park them ALL ON THE TOP FLOOR OF THE garage now. I learned my lesson with these stupid "flash flood, no warning" rainstorms. Next purchase is a 2009 Bentley convertible. I don't know why I am telling you this....hahaha bye
