This 2-Pound Laptop Has Super Powers...

Ғылым және технология

The Fujitsu U939X is one of the lightest laptops I've ever featured on Unbox Therapy. It weighs just 2 pounds and is fully convertible. The U939X also packs some unusual features.

  • @SilverScarletSpider

Nat Depends on what you need. If you can, getting a desktop is a far better long term value than laptop but some people need the portability. Most kids want a dedicated GPU for gaming so any $700 - $900 dollar MSI, Asus, Acer, Toshiba, HP, and Dell can work. As someone who likes durability, I wish there were more affordable metal Laptops out there but Microsoft Surfaces, Apple MacBooks, Lenovo Thinkpads, and Razer Blades are very overpriced. As much as 2 in 1 Laptop Tablets are cool, from a durability perspective, thinner and lighter touchscreen Laptops have bigger problems with dust, slowing down, and overheating as they get older. So I’d stay away from touchscreens and folding hinges (personal experience 😭). I know it’s a bit counterintuitive for buying a portable laptop, but a lot of times being bulkier is a good thing because the bigger shell is better armor.

Considering you get the extreme full package with 2(!) chargers, docking station, touchscreen, pen, tablet mode, *all these ports* and all this security for 2(!!!!) pounds of weight, the price is kinda justified. From my personal standpoint as someone who gets on the road sometimes often and has to work, this laptop may actually be my first option, depending on the battery life.

Last time I checked in my region around 2017, they were still only offering 1366x768 screens as standard on the tablet convertibles. To custom configure with a 1920x1080 screen pushed the price to some absurd amount.

So... cool thing about palm secure vs finger print reader, is that it is checking your Vascular structure in your hand, rather than the skin on your hand. If you were to cut someones hand off, and attempt to unlock the computer, it would fail because there is no blood pumping though the veins. If you cut someones finger off, you could still swipe it to get into the computer. My laptop has a Palm secure scanner in it, and use it every day. It learns fairly quickly and now I unlock it with out even needing to look at the screen.

Yeah, that Ethernet shocked me, I never even thought that you could collapse a port like that

I used to love Fujitsu laptops. They were always so modifiable. The last couple I had just didn't hold up well. The case and hinges. The mobos and CPU never die though. Funny enough I moved to Lenovos.
