Someone said that hbx 2007a is a good basher , the hbx 16989sa is pretty good and even crazy with 3s but when I look at the pics of the mjx 14BM or 16 size the chassis looks stronger , the dogbone piece is thicker and shaped , it just looks sturdier but it has more complaints or weak spots people mention in comments than the afore mentioned . I now know 1/16 size ish is harder to steer but it’s not so bad . They do kinda jump like a 84 corvette when throttled at a standstill or moving slower . Still , I like it and can see why people love the 16889 pro but I’m happy with it . The inky thing I don’t like about the hbx 16980 sa , and I believe the whole series uses the same chassis and seen an aluminum bottom cover plate for $13 on Amazon but it’s for the hyper for but measurements look exact . It will probably drive different but I t boned a stop sign post almost full speed on 3s speed running and it cracked as it should have right around the little 1” rectangular cutout and up towards the radius part under the drive shaft broke . I was supposed there wasn’t more damage tbh . One chassis , $13 👍. She’s a beast still . Anyways I hope thst rlaarlo comes good . Sorry about the tldr. 😂

Really amazing deal @ $150 for sure! I ordered mine on that opening day. Just new it was going to be a gem 💎! I think I got mine today amongst all the packages that came in from online Christmas shopping!😂 I ordered the blue one. You did a great job in this overview and you mentioned a few of the minor flaws a few other channels also pointed out , which as you also mentioned Rlaarlo was going to address in their next batch of vehicles. This company from the beginning has impressed me. Especially how they absorb customer feedback! Now , this car seems to be nothing short of epic! Im definitely excited to run it! Shortened amount of Daylight and snow in the forecast may make it a long winter!😖 But wait! They set me up with a smaller pinion and I’ve got some paddles… yes…maybe…🤔🤘🏽😃👍🏻 Excellent video brother!

Oh and one more thing , $250 is a bit high IMO. You hit the nail on the head at just a tad under $200. Now if this were a 1/10, $250-$300 would be more accurate.

For $150 a good deal, but that just the initial price. I really like the amx12, but 250 euro is pricy for a pure bashing rc. I would really like people to judge something on its price rather than just complain on Wltoys it's bad support. Be aware that cheap comes with a price. I got two 124017 for €250 and that is really handy having sufficient spare parts. However, when wanting more quality and finishing, spending more on amx12 will also give a better finishing and overal quality. But if it breaks, part prices are higher than with Wltoys, that said, I can imagine people will have blast with this one. For me I will stick bashing my 124017 with a smile.

Great review! I have the purple buggy and mini-kraton and the quality of the parts and fitment are way above Wltoys. I don't have any LC Racing RCs so I can't compare one to my Rlaarlos but I did have a Wltoys 124016V2 and sold it. Can't wait to get my AM-X12. Will probably upgrade my purple buggy with the AM-X12 arms and sway bars when spares are available. Cheers.

I have the LC truggy and the 1/12 wltoys. Lc is just way better, cant even compare. The control is unbelievable. Its totally worth double the price of this rlarrlo

hey i love all your videos so i figure you're the guy to ask! i recently bought this RC car because of your review but the stock motor/esc is having a huge issue and i want to replace them! any suggestions to a reliable combo? i'm new to RC everything and don't want to buy the wrong size or have issues installing it. i would like to run both 2s and 3s! cheers

I got shouted down so loudly when I suggested the transmitter was a rebranded X6F with people telling me it didn't look anything like it, but the more I see the more I think I was right and another selling point since I could just bind it to 'ole reliable.

Not sure why Sean it even says X6F on the receiver so im guessing a dumbo should bind to it but will give that a test to confirm!

your forgetting about the lc racing line. thats what the wltoys and this are modeled offer. for this price of 249 you could get the original lc racing emb1 rtr. check it out.

I read in the comments that these buggies do tend to get hot from their motors. Something what I need to know?

I'm searching for my first RC-car, most of the time I'm gonna drive off-road. I doubing between a WLtoys the more expensive Riaarlo. wich brand is the easiest to maintain? I'm not verry technical or handy. Does brands make sense? of maybe a HBX a MJX. I'm gonna choose a brushless for sure!

Hi, I am a big fan of your reviews. So much that I ended getting one of the AM-X12. I'm considering to substitute the Rlaarlo ESC with a spectrum 3s BLX100 ESC from the Typhon 3s. I want to run it with a 125c 3s LiPo battery. Bad idea or good idea?

they are almost identical but just bear in mind the quality of plastics on the wltoys will be less.

WLToys set the bar high for cost and speed. It ended there. Their company motto could be "At least we're not XLF!" I am looking forward to the arrival of my AM-X12 after seeing this thing in action. Response to the RC community is a huge deal these days. If this car fares well then we'll definitely be repeat customers.

As of 2024 Rlaarlo surpassed WL toys. They just need to keep pushing out good trucks and cars. If they keep doing that judging by this buggy they'll surpass most of your cheap companies. I think Rlaarlo and MJX hyper go will be top dog. I think WL toys needs a new planner because we really didn't need another new 18th scale monster truck. I'm not saying that it's a bad truck but we have enough 16 and 18th scale trucks and buggies from them. They need to go up to like 10th scale more 12th scale maybe even go to an 8th scale. They should be working their way up not back to 18th scale. That's just my opinion not everybody's going to agree I get that. But from what I'm seeing, they're not as big as they used to be just because now they have to step up their game cuz now they're competing with MJX hyper go and Rlaarlo And of course many other companies. But that's the two companies in WL Toys Way. They just need to make a bigger scale buggy, truggy, or monster truck. I like the WL toys buggies the ones that use the MJX hyper go chassis. I think that was a smart move. Changing over to a plastic chassis. Like I said that's just my opinion.😊

That's an amazing little car and I instantly want one but it does seem like it's a little bit too light. The wltoys124019 is the perfect weight for a racer. I just don't think that this car is going to be able to dig in like a racer should.

This is literally made by WLTOYS, they are the maker of a lot of differently branded cars, this may be a "racer" premium to there own cars, but regardless it is a WLTOYS! Which is not a bad thing!

Wltoys makes the LC racing product, all this stuff comes out of the same factory... However they do use different parts materials in each different brand, however it is still all the "same".

Wltoys are actually based on LC racing cars. These are all clones of LC Racing. This is a much higher quality version. Check out my wltoys vs rlaarlo comparison on my channel

I can tell by the driving its not close to the lc. The LC carries speed through corners like crazy

They basically fixed every issue wltoys have, and made it better. @249$ just go lc racing and you wont regret it

At 150$ it's a STEAL , but at 250$ it's a hard pass (way to close to the typhon price). If they sell a roller version for 150 or a bit less then it's a good deal. if I didn't already have a 124018 that is fully upgraded this would be a no brainer to buy at 150$, for 250 nah , i would get a 124018/9 and upgrade it.

If that was a WLToys, and you got those speeds, even in the wet, you would have ripped it to pieces. Even in wet. It would be nice to see a Rlaarlo review where you don't bash WLToys. Seems so salty

Not salty at all. Rlaarlo are going for quality at a premium price whereas WLTOYS arent as good quality for a much cheaper price.. but not anymore. For example the 144001 used to be half the price it is now which means its no longer a justifiable option (No longer cheap which is what caused its wide appeal) meaning these rlaarlos are becoming a lot more popular. Truth is if a product is good i will support it all day long. Wltoys have no interest in making better products they are only in it for quick profit. Do like their stuff but at this rate they wont be about for much longer. Cheers

That is a claimed top speed by Rlaarlo which is around 60mph. With good conditions i think 55 is probably doable but 60 i cant see that happening on the stock setup..

I wonder the drive shafts are steel like 1/10 and 1/8 buggys or are shiny cheap metal like wl toys and painted in black colour to look like steel ? Also this buggy reminds me a lot the wltoys 144001 that brake so easily. Something tells me that this buggy is potato and reminds me a lot the wltoys cheap crap rc cars and i wonder why people still buy them. I am afraid i will throw my money if i buy this buggy . The video is nice but the model seems another one crap that is overpriced because of the bad situations that run now.

Rlaarlo cheating. it is not carbon fiber at all. btw, Rlaarlo 's price is doubled than in China. In comparison, Wltoys price in China + international shipping = price you have, more reasonable.

Bruh, stop getting free stuff from companies. I know you were trying to make it sound better in some places because they told you to.
