Love how you can shoot in 65x24 and also de-squeeze anamorphic lenses in camera.

Yes, I owned the GFX 50s ii now. The reason I went for that cheaper model was that I really wasn't sure whether I wanted to get into medium format so it was good to just get into it at a good price now that I'm in the GFX system with three lenses bring it on baby I love medium format. Yes it has some tricky things that you need to be aware of. I'm now saving for the GFX100S ii which is an amazing camera. It's pretty much the same as this model just without the video specs. I think it has one less frame per second and actually has slightly better. Auto focus if that's believable because it is a slightly different sensor. I thought this camera was too much for me so I held back and waited for the model to come out and in Australia cameras are expensive but I am excited about this new venture into GFX. I think the slowing down process is a good thing which you mentioned as well. I think there's too much running gun in Photography and not enjoying the process. You know we don't have 15 clients lined up in one day for most photographers. Well I don't and I do shoot professionally but not full-time. If a shoot takes me an extra 15 or 20 minutes. I'm okay with that and I might actually enjoy it a little bit more. I still get paid. It's all good. I think we need to stop looking at time as this equitable thing to money all the time we need to move away from that and start enjoying what we do as well this is the problem with many professional photographers. They just think dollars dollars dollars and they're not enjoying their photography and then all of a sudden they hit burn out.

Okay one way around it jumping from people to people when someone comes into the scene is pick one eye what you'll find is if you pick a right or left eye and your subjects are relatively straight to you because that's important for depth of field but even if they're not you will find picking one eye in Fuji cameras is a much better process. You will find that the auto focus then doesn't jump to another person when they come into the scene. I've experimented with this with several Fuji film cameras that I own I own three Fuji film cameras, and picking one eye is definitely a lot better

I recently started using wide tracking with auto eye on my xt5. And this has solved almost all my problems! This also allows me to leave it in continuous but put the tracking box on something and focus recompose. I have a a7rv but hoping if this wide tracking works as well as it did last night I might be able to use my preferred xt5 over my a7rv. Let me know what you think if you get to try it!! :) oh and I also have my auto eye on a button I can toggle quickly on or off if needed. Cheers!

I use the GFX since 2019 (50S, 50R and now 50S II) and love it for everyday and weddings, portraits, landscape. With the 45 or 50 it is fast enough. No I switch to the 100S II and it will be much faster than I need.

I really like the Fuji cameras I've tried, the only issue I've experienced is the autofocus. Would love to try out the Medium format camera though! The photos you got look amazing

All of my full frame lenses have more shallower DoF, and people who usually gets GFX usually had experience with all those 85, 50 1.2 etc. But it’s not the case. I also don’t find Fuji LCD is better than R5 LCD in any way. Can totally agree that files are much better. Trying to find a good copy of 110/2 this moment. Unfortunately copy I bought was a 1000 miles behind RF 85/1.2 L in absolutely every aspect. Probably it was just a bad copy.

hi, the comparison between 14 and 16bit is hell in my mind to make the final decision to switch from my gfx100s to Nikon z8 or not! Z8 is all around and an in-one camera for all types of photography even better than my Sony A1 (because of much better colour rendering), BUT how can I forget the deep and deep image quality produced by gfx to be the sacrifice for all others functionality on z8 or a1?! any tip?

you can suggest buying the gfx 100s instead of the 100 mk2 which is significantly much cheaper or half the price and has technically the same IQ. Since the 100 mk2 is slow we just need the IQ of the medium format. The 100s is cheaper, lighter & slower. Which is a great slow tool for landscape, travel, product & studio.

When you compare the Fuji with the Sony in terms of autofocus, speed, your comparing apples to oranges. Compare it to a Hasselblad or another medium format camera, then the Fuji will not seem slow.

compare image quality, handling and color science to Hasselblad and you wont praise fuji for image quality, ibis or colors in general ah design, look and feel are also other level but price is quite on par sadly:)

@@blazeboy777Sorry man, Hasselblad and Fuji are using the exact same sensor. A let's say GF55mm 1,7 will not perform any less than the Habla counterpart. Color science is highly subjective, the Fuji colors have been clicking with me for ages, Hasselblad while not bad is nothing special for me. So what's left? X2d is a prettier camera for sure, but with lenses the system costs much more, with much slower performance, same resolution, DR and basic image quality. If some guys say the X2D has superior resolution and DR, they are lying to themselves for whatever reason.

GFX100 ii is not $10,000. It is about $7,000+ the last time I checked at B&H and on Amazon. The GFX100s ii is about $5K.
