Yeah...Cadogan wrote all their genuinely interesting/progressive stuff. Blue and Self-titled are such brilliantly diverse albums...they somehow managed to make a catchy alt rock 'power-pop' sound something eclectic and vanguard.

True story : the guys at Antares though about inventing AUTO-TUNE after watchting this very performance !

Guitarist played the beginning in the wrong key.....nice. Really smart move there Jenkins! He thought he was so cute he forgot to practice being a singer and guitar player......

He's actually in the right key. Just bad tone, sloppy technique and he did hit a wrong note/chord. TEB were never known for their live performances, unfortunately. Good songwriters though - and the band was great in the studio.

Sorry - I was talking about Tony but I see now that I was not clear. It's not really so much a bad key as it is the bending of the notes. I just sounds awful! :) But I agree - I love the studio stuff with Kevin. I just get mad every time I have to watch them since they booted him out. It's ALWAYS a huge disappointment.

Yeah... this was a GOD AWFUL performance. So bad that I felt genuinely embarrassed watching it. This was the day they started to fall and fall fast. Tony is a good guy, but nothing and no one can ever replace Kevin. Jenkins really fucked up. You know it, I know it... everyone knows it.

Interesting, Jenkins seems so relaxed, like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. Besides the monetary issues with Kevin Cadogan, I think Jenkins really felt pushed by Kevin. He as relieved when he didn't have to compete to be better than him. That's the other reason the music hasn't been as good since Kevin left, in addition to the direct contributions of Kevin.

definetely their sound was off….a little disappointing…but also cool to see and hear at the same time…..i saw them live several years ago in las vegas and it was a great concert….sounded great….had like a 10 piece band

They’re referring to Kevin Cadogan, who was the previous lead guitar before being fired in 200. He was then replaced by Tony Fredianelli (guitarist on the left), who eventually left (or got fired from) the band in 2010 and sued them for about half of million.

Dreadful performance

TBH I didn't mind this performance. It was definitely amateur but fuck man it works for their style. The way he uses falsetto and raps and IDK... it's just such a unique way to do rock. Could it have been better? Yeah. But that's kinda what I like about them... they ain't some super group. There's a punk element to their stuff. That said, from the comments I gather they just lost their lead guitarist previous to this video, and from my own observation the lead singer appears to be drunk or severely drugged, so yeah. Lol. Still enjoyed it. Sick band.

Probably the worst live performance I've ever seen on a late night show.

This really doesn’t sound that awful. I think people just lack an understanding of how much sheen and post production was on their albums.

My only point of contention is Jenkins sings a large portion of the song in a falsetto that you can finesse with effects in a studio, but it sounded rough and forced here - could have at least used Reverb. Performing live is never easy but it's even harder when you have to perform a difficult skill at 100% without extra help, redubs or effects. Decent but rough around the edges.
